What a wonderful place, the barn is beautifully decorated to a high standard and has everything you could possibly want. Dennis and Helen really have thought of everything, the fresh bread and brownies were a real treat. The location is stunning perfect for dog walks and we even had 2 deers visit us yesterday evening. If you’re looking for a peaceful escape then look no further you won’t be disappointed!

You couldn’t find a more cosier place to stay if you tried. What an amazing place to stay in the perfect spot in Glossop. What a gem of a place is Tanyard Barn. The fixtures, fittings and finish is to a high standard and there is a wonderful hot tub which is a perfect way to relax in the evening, with towels and dressing gowns supplied.
We had a fabulous welcome pack on arrival, which was a lovely surprise. We were greeted with a lovely welcome basket of treats like chocolates and sweets and alongside alcohol and non alcoholic drinks plus essentials like milk, fresh crusty bread, butter, and condiments. Spoilt for choice really!
Inside is really comfortable and the log burner is very welcome on a fresh cold evening. A good nights sleep was definitely on the agenda with quality bedding and a super comfy bed.
Dennis and Helen were the perfect host. They were really kind in helping me order a take away in, when I realised I had left my bank card at home. This is the sort of place that becomes a regular getaway. Book it now while you can if you haven't already! Even better it accommodates dogs too.

I had the privilege to stay at Tanyard Barn for one night. Situated in such a picturesque location with amazing views of the Peak District. The perfect location and accommodation with amazing host. Dennis and Helen go above and beyond to ensure you receive 5 star ⭐ treatment. The holiday cottage itself has been decorated to high standards that there is everything you would need to enjoy your stay. Not to mention the amazing log burner and outdoor hot tub which has breathe taking views. Amazing location, incredible hosts and beautiful luxury retreat. Thank you for an amazing experience 😀

Absolutely loved our weekend stay at Tanyard Barn. The decor was amazing, totally to our taste, clean throughout and finished to a high standard.
There is a huge fantastic hot tub ready to use, soft fluffy towels provided and you can take in the lovely picturesque views whilst you relax.
The lodge is set in a quiet rural location, so you can relax and take in the wild life.
Helen and Dennis are great hosts, and contact is easy, plus they give great directions.
I definitely recommend staying here!

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Tanyard Barn. Absolutely beautiful place that really exceeded our expectations.

There is a hot tub nestled in a quiet corner of the property, which was definitely the highlight for us. The water was impeccably maintained as with the rest of the property.

The accommodation was tastefully decorated and the attention to detail was evident across the property.

The location was great, very quiet, offering a peaceful escape. Whether it was exploring nearby walks around the peaks with our dogs or simply unwinding on the property, it provided a perfect base for a relaxing getaway.

We will definitely be returning and highly recommend! A****

The perfect getaway!

We booked Tanyard Barn for a short stay over the Christmas holidays and everything was just perfect from start to finish! Our only regret is not booking a longer stay!

The Barn was filled with lots of little personal touches and we were greeted upon arrival with drinks, snacks and relaxing music. The hot tub was ready to go and we enjoyed relaxing in the tub and admiring the views.

The communication from the hosts Dennis and Helen was great and they ensured that we had all the information that we needed aswell as sharing personal recommendations of where to eat etc.
Booking was made easy using their professional, user friendly website.

Although the barn is in a beautiful, rural location it is in perfect spot to access local amenities should you need to. We enjoyed an amazing curry from the local pub ‘the queens arms’. If we were staying longer we would have liked to have walked up over mossy Lea and doctors gate but we chose to spend most of our time just relaxing and unwinding after Christmas! We’ve also had the best nights sleep in a long time!

Stayed here for my wife's birthday and everything from the start was just perfect and exactly the get away she wanted, everything from the hot tub to the perfectly installed lights made it a peaceful and delightful night.
Plenty of local pubs and food available but also comes set up for self catering. Will definitely be returning again.

The barn is stunning and in such a peaceful area. It had absolutely everything we needed and is in the perfect location for walking. Lots of lovely pubs and food spots right on the door step, will definitely be returning!
