I had some questions about sales taxes and bookkeeping for a project I was just starting, my pro was able to solve all my questions and even provide me with some extra tips that help me save some money during the year.

I submitted my tax documents through the Taxfyle app and within minutes of paying for the service, I was connected to my Tax Pro! I had submitted all my documents except one that I was waiting for from Robinhood, my Pro let me know that they would start preparing my return as far as he could while we waited for the document. As soon as I received the document from Robinhood, I uploaded it through the Taxfyle app and my Pro responded within a couple of hours and sent me a draft return to review. Once I accepted it, my Pro began to file the return and let me know what I owed.
All in all, the experience was quick and simple!

I felt comfortable knowing my taxes were gonna be handled correctly as it was being done by a Tax Expert. Onboarding was quick and easy.

Taxfyle has been great! Been using it for the past 4 years to do my taxes and never had an issue. The CPAs I’ve gotten are all very knowledgeable and helped me to understand the things required for my return. Overall very happy 💪🏽

Pro was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all my questions. The process was simple and effective. Would do it again.

Horrible Experience! I've had a BUSY year and needed help doing my taxes from 2023. I paid extra for bookkeeping fees. 1st person assigned to me said she was going to do it by October 15th when they were due.. said everything was going great. I stayed up until midnight waiting around and available to answer any questions, only for her to say sorry having internet issues, that she would submit my taxes as is then amend them later. Then she proceeded to ghost me for 3 weeks!!! I had to figure out how to get customer service to help me because no number to call... 2nd person assigned to me was nice but I had to do all of the bookkeeping myself because we were now in a super time crunch to have them amended by November 15th. Was super short with me and I don't feel like I got $1500 worth of work done when I had to spend my entire birthday weekend doing all of the bookkeeping myself!!! I complained and they offered me nothing but a discount for next year- NO THANKS. Completely stressful situation and not worth the money. If it was just one person, take my review with a grain of salt. But 2 people, and barely any communication? I paid more taxes than I've ever paid in my life- I am 40 and have always gotten a refund. Do NOT recommend.

** UPDATE 12/18/24 *** PISSED! I received a bill in the mail from the IRS saying I owed even more money for FILING LATE!!! Taxfyle promised that they filed it on time and explained that it could be amended so I wouldn't get fined. Now I owe $1500 more in fines thanks to their lie. AVOID THIS COMPANY!!!!!

I loved how easy Taxfyle was to use. Their customer service was amazing—whenever I had a question, they were quick to help and made sure everything was handled perfectly.

Uber for taking a person from one destination to the next in under 30 minutes makes sense.

Uber for business taxes does not make sense.

The tax pros are random and you have no idea who you'll get.

My pro had broken English and so that reduced my trust in their system.

She put the income on the incorrect line, and had other discrepancies.

She replied back anywhere from 2 hrs to 3 days later, so it was frustrating to wait.

I paid someone at TaxFyle to review her work and he said "looks good".

Then for this year I went to another bookkeeping/CPA firm and they had lots of questions on the 2022 return.

Perhaps it's the luck of the draw. Maybe you'll get someone good.

It was about 30-50% cheaper than my previous full service firm, but as a business owner I've had to step in and manage this one much more, I don't have much trust in the process.

I would give their customer support and account management 4-5 stars for quick responsiveness.

I'm not saying my bookkeeping and everything else was perfect, but they make it too easy to start, and when you're dealing with taxes the outcome must be perfect, so that's what this is being judged by.

Im a small business owner, I needed to pay my sales tax for Q1, Since I’ve never done it before, I looked to Taxfyle to help ensure everything was done correctly. After 3 hours, I was matched with a tax specialist! I was amazed at how quickly they assigned me. Unfortunately the good news stops there. After 48 hours of not hearing back from the assigned specialist, they took another 24 hours to respond to my message, I was then assigned my 2ed specialist, that also left me abruptly. Went thru the process again, thus getting me the 3ed tax specialist, 7 Days later. Same thing happens, no response from the tax specialist. I decided to complete the task alone, with the help of a YouTube video (this only took me 10min to complete). I sent them a message asking for my money back, to be informed that my tax specialist needed to be paid for there time, so they only refunded $50 from the $160 I originally paid. Not sure what tax specialist they were referring to, #1, #2 or #3… Unless you want to run around different “tax specialists”, id avoid Taxfyle.

Throughout the process, from setting up the account, through tax filing, our taxes were handled with outstanding customer service and expertise.
We especially appreciated our tax pro, Anna, for her attention to detailed and personalized approach.
Her knowledge and experience was evident as she meticulously navigated through the complexities of our tax situation, which included a business and personal state and federal taxes.
Using this service was the first time we were not stressed trying to understand and navigate the complexities of taxes.

This company is terrible to work for. Great concept, but you will waste hours of your time trying to pick up a job and still not get one. They supposedly did something wonderful, but quite literally made it worse. Now you can express interest in a job along with god only knows how many other people and still not get one. I've completed all my prior jobs on time and with good feedback. However in an entire tax season, I was only able to pick up 8 tax returns. Now this year, I've "expressed interest" on at least a dozen and haven't received a single one. Don't waste your time with this company. Find a company that will value you and actually pay you for your time.

Review contractors were not very detailed oriented and quality of work was not worth the cost. Because they pay a fixed amount to contractors, the contractors spent a minimal amount of time reviewing. Sales representative and operations were fine, just hard to deliver on promises with independent contractors.

I cannot say enough positive things about my experience with Taxfyle over the past two years. This incredible CPA matching service has made tax season a breeze for me, both for my W-2 returns and my small business filings. Like most millennials, I do not want to deal with taxes in person. Taxfyle has been great, because I do not have the anxiety of visiting someone in person or having to do my own due diligence in finding a trust worthy CPA to do my taxes. Taxfyle does it for me by connecting me with one of their vetted CPA's. All communication is done through their app and all I have to do is upload the required documents and fill out a few questions. Then I just relax and wait for my CPA to give me a draft of my return. Love it. Will keep using them in the future.

Amazing product. Have used these guys for years. CPA is alway very quick, efficient, and knowledgeable. Have helped me for both my business and personal filings.

Company has refused to follow their cancelation/refund policy or communicate with me.

FULL DETAILS:
4/3/23 – Started a request to have my taxes completed with Taxfyle; Was charged $90 (portion of the total fee with remainder to be charged upon completion of tax return). Was assigned to an accountant.

4/5/23 – Received a message saying that the original accountant would not be completing my taxes. Was assigned to a new accountant.

4/8/23 at 10:36am – Had not received tax return or any updates. Canceled the project and requested a refund in accordance with refund policy for jobs in progress. Taxfyle’s refund policy states, “If you request a cancelation after your pro has picked up your engagement, communicated with you, and begun reviewing your documents (i.e. you and your pro are fully engaged in the discussion of your return), then a cancelation fee of 35% of your quote will apply.” Notably, the entirety of my communication up to this point with the accountant was me sending a message asking if he had any questions and a response from him stating, “Hi David. No questions yet!” on 4/7/23.

4/8/23 at 12:15pm – About two hours after I requested cancelation and refund according to refund policy, I received a notice that the status of my tax return had been changed to “closed” and that my taxes were completed. Taxfyle then charged me the additional $79.98 as though they had completed the return. Just to be clear, no tax return was ever provided. They just marked it "completed" quickly and charged the remainder of the fee as though they had finished the job. I sent an email to Taxfyle asking for clarification and requesting the refund minus the 35% cancelation fee.

Since my communications through the Taxfyle portal and by email on 4/8/23, I have emailed them two more times asking about the refund minus the 35% cancelation fee. I have received no response. Altogether, TaxFyle has charged me $169.98 and refused to honor their cancelation policy or communicate with me about it.

I used Taxfyle last year and liked them, even if the pro wasn’t amazing (just ok). This year they seemed to be pressuring my pro to finish my taxes by some arbitrary deadline, well before the tax deadline. It’s caused me so much stress that I should have just done my taxes myself. The pro was fine again it was just this pressure from his boss.

Awful, rude accountant. Seemed annoyed that I was even working with him. Curt, abrupt.

Cancelled my service and they still try and charge my credit card.

Avoid Taxfyle at all costs.
