I started out with Stefano's online self-paced basics course which is a great mix of video explanations, quizzes, listening exercises and opportunities to submit written homework for feedback.
While I had taken an Italian class before, Stefano's course helped me feel more grounded in my knowledge and understanding of the language.
I transitioned to taking weekly private lessons with him and this has been a fantastic experience.
Stefano is very organized - he is a kind and effective teacher. He is very patient and encouraging which I really appreciate.

Stefano combines linguistic excellence, lazer focus of making grammar easy and an infectious joy of all things Italian to make this a truly unique approach to learning. I have taken his course and also worked with him individually to clarify my questions of grammar. He always seems to find an elegant and effective solution for any learning block. I recommend him strongly.

Learning this beautiful language with Stefano has been a wonderful experience. Stefano is relaxed enough to make you feel comfortable, and yet, his detailed program and encouraging teaching style brings out the best in his students. He is incredibly fun as well as organized and always prepared. I love his other materials as well, including his newsletter and all of his fantastic online content. His YouTube channel is a must for students. He not only shares his love of this amazing language but also his love of all things Italia. Stefano makes teaching us grammar, vocabulary, common sayings, favorite recipes or just immersing us in the culture while walking the streets of famous Italian cities SO fun. As a new learner, I especially enjoy his Instagram page as well as his podcast. To understand Stefano as the incredible Italian teacher that he is you need to know what is at the core of his teaching style: his true passion for teaching and his big heart. Five stars aren’t enough to say what your amazing teaching style has brought to my learning experience. Grazie mille, Stefano!

Stefano has been my Italian teacher for 4.5 years. During covid we did two lessons a week and my comprehension and ability to communicate rapidly improved. I've had several other private teachers and been in language school in Venice many times, but all that pales in comparison to my lessons with Stefano. As other reviews state, he is patient, easy to understand even for beginners, and he has a fabulous understanding of linguistics and language which informs his teaching. Everything is explained and he us happy to repeat an explanation as many times as it takes. As an English speaker, it is so helpful that he speaks perfect English and also knows why I get certain things wrong. Because of him, I have gone from a fumbling shy Italian speaker to someone who can hold conversations and is no longer afraid to speak up in Italian. It's been a joy. Stefano is a friendly, kind, fun, high standard teacher. Podcasts and youtube vids all great additions as well as info on Italian culture. I am a completely different traveler to Italy because of him. These lessons continue to be the highlight of my week.

Stefano è un insegnante bravissimo. Mi piace molto passare il tempo con Stefano chiacchierare di tutto. Ho imparato tanto da Stefano sia delle grammatiche sia delle culture italiane. Stefano è paziente e amichevole, e anche molto saggio alla sua età. Sono fortunata ad avere Stefano come mio insegnante. Stefano is a great teacher. I learned a lot from him, both Italian grammar and culture. He is very patient and friendly, and very wise for his age! I am very fortunate to have Stephano as my Italian teacher.

Stefano is not just a great teacher of Italian, he has developed a very useful range of videos and podcasts and is also a very interesting person to talk with in English or Italian.
The videos cover a wide range of topics from explanations of Italian grammar to travel videos introducing Italian cities, and often including interviews with local people, which helps give experience of real dialogue and regional accents.
The poor language teaching of school led me to believe that I was no good at languages, but the way Stefano teaches is really enjoyable and non-judgemental and has enabled me to make good progress such that I gained the confidence to take a two month sabbatical in Italy.
He is well organised and always prepared for lessons.

Stefano is an excellent Italian teacher. Whenever I struggle to speak in Italian, it never seems to bother him. He always patiently waits for me to finish speaking (or at least until I finish trying haha). He doesn't try and hold my hand at the first sign of a mistake which is good because this allows me to stretch my own ability. However, he is there to politely correct me and to help me when I actually need it. Whenever I make an error with him it always feels like a good learning experience because he does a great job of explaining why the Italian needs to be said in a certain way.

During the pandemic, I used my forced exile to study Italian. I explored several Italian grammar books, Italki and dozens of YouTube videos. Teacher Stefano’s was a standout among them for the clarity of content, production values, excellent sound and Stefano’s winning personality. The skill and dedication in which he applies himself is truly remarkable, from hardcore grammar concepts to Vlogs from various Italian cities, I have been both edified and entertained in equal measure in my quest to improve my Italian through his online course, newsletters, podcasts and videos. After almost two years, I look forward to all the content that this skilled pedagogue provides every week. In short, Teacher Stefano, is an outstanding source for comprehensive language instruction. Stefano creates different types of media to evoke creativity and passion from him students - from beginner to advanced. He is passionate about his country and that makes you even more excited to learn with him.

Stefano è un insegnante bravissimo! Each week I have a private Italian lesson with Stefano who is so enthusiastic about helping me progress and enjoy the Italian language journey. He explains concepts in a clear and engaging way and tailors the lesson to my interests and ability. He also has incredible content on his YouTube channel, Blog and Podcast which is super helpful, entertaining and an amazing supplement to our lessons. Stefano is professional and genuinely passionate about teaching Italian and helping his students improve. Super highly recommend!
