I absolutely love ❤️ the Tefors bag!

I invested in one (actually 2) of your Tefors Ultimatum bags through Kickstarter. It has been one of the best investments I've made, and I always receive compliments on it. The design is stylish, and the quality is impressive.

I have two bags from Tefors

I have two bags from Tefors. One of them is over 4 years old which is the 48Hr Classic model, and the second is a 48Hr Switch!

I continue enjoying them as my daily bags so great work Tefors.

Have purchased three (3) Ultimatum & two (2) Two-Face Backpacks…

I have purchased three (3) Ultimatum Bags with add-ons and two (2) Two-Face Backpacks. I carry an Ultimatum for overnight trips and the black Two-Face bag, my first Tefors purchase, has been my backpack of choice. I gave one Ultimatum to my daughter who works in London. She has a management position and carries it every day. Bought a second that I will give her husband when we visit in October as he has expressed an interest in the bag due to its practicality and expansive interior. Both are tan. I believe he will find the interior packing cubes handy. The third (Vintage finish) is for me. The second Two-Face is also finished in Vintage full-grain leather and it was ordered earlier today. I will probably give the original black Two-face to my daughter. My Ultimatum is also the Vintage full grain. What do I like about Tefors Bags? Excellent full grain leather, functional interiors, comfortable to carry, versatile, and superb high-end plated hardware. They are also very well-packed when they arrive. I am a lawyer and I also need a bag that looks professional and Tefors bags uniquely meet that requirement. They also hold as much as I am comfortable and willing to carry. Furthermore, the slide-in side pocket in the Two-Face designed for a small laptop or tablet was a brilliant addition. Very easy to remove the device at airports, etc., and finally, the back pocket in the Two-face makes accessing files convenient.

I'm a practicing architect in the Czech republic

I'm a practicing architect in the Czech Republic, a member of EU. I've been following tefors since its kickstarter campaign and I was very much looking forward to receiving a Carbon pencil packed with them. The product offered on the TEFORS e-shop under the name Carbon pencil is presented under the color "gold" as a timeless brass product, in addition, it is clear from the photos of this product that the mechanism for moving the pencil is not push-button, because the pencil in the picture does not have a push-button mechanism. Unfortunately, I am very disappointed with the product that was delivered to me. Instead of solid brass, a gold-painted metal body of the pencil with a completely different mechanism for moving the pencil than is offered in the photos in the e-shop. The delivered product is NOT the same product as shown on the Tefors eshop. This is fraudulent advertising, and l demand a refund. Tnx. Dipl. Ing. Arch. Z. Trefil

It's been 2 weeks since I ordered an item and money deducted from my account, and the item hasn't been shipped. Never will I shop from this place again. This makes me doubtful about the product

WARNING!!!!

WARNING! The freight cost to return the bag is $400 from the USA to China! I did not like the bag and requested via email to return it. I learned that I was responsible for the freight cost, which is listed on their website as well. What they do not list on their website is the freight is $400 from the USA back to them in China. I sent them an image of the freight costs and asked for a USA return address. Their response is, sorry. They did offer a possible 50% discount if I completed a survey in 6-12 months.

Never received order after paying in full

I ordered 2 pairs of shoes through Kickstater in May 2021 I still don't have any product after paying in full.
I have been through 3 different customer support people
to no avail. Iv had all excuses now, delay with supplier
order lost in system, promises shipping tomorrow. Now we are at I received them last year. I received one pair last year about 3 sizes to small and returned them. I have also asked for a refund on occasions this doesn't even get a reply.

I ordered the Ultimatum product

I ordered the Ultimatum product, and it looked great. But due to my stature (I'm short) it wasn't fully suitable for my needs. However, the professional way in which John and the Tefors Team have handled my issue and provided a suitable solution is something I greatly value. I will not hesitate to comment to friends and associates on my positive experience in dealing with the company and will positively recommend their products and business.

Poor quality bag/ a sale as opposed to support team

I was initially very happy with the ultimate bag I purchased, as all the promised functionalities were covered.

After a few weeks, both the hook connecting the strap to the bag, and the elasticated strap enabling to attach the bag to a small suit case broke. Later, came the turn of the main zip, rendering the bag unusable.

Still under the guarantee period, I contacted the support team which gave me two options but suggested I buy a new bag for only 109€ instead of sending the bag back to Asia and having it repaired which they believed would the most expensive option.

It’s a good bag, great design. It does seem that the material is not as robust and resistant as you would expect, the leather easily gets scratched or marked. The manufacturer should either use a different leather or apply a protection layer from the factory, after all the price tag indicates that this is a product that will last long. The company did reply my enquiry and gave support when required.

Unserious company

Warning for this company. You pay but dont recieve any goods or even a response from customer service for many years. I backed this company by kickstarter 2021-04-05 and have send many questions where my shoes are since then. In 2024 i was offered store credits since they dont produce the two pair of shoes I ordered anymore. With the credits I could order one pair of shoes with less quality then I ordered and one pen. Not satisfied.

Waste of time and money

The backpack I bought from Tefors broke after less than a year (the zipper has stopped working properly, so I can’t close it and thus use it)

Then I didn’t get any response from after several attempts of contact.

Then I post a review online to warn other potential buyers of your disrespectful way of managing a business.

Then more than a year later they contact me, "trying to solve the issue" by giving a discount on a new backpack...

After writing back and forth for a while, since I didn't trust the company after ignoring me for a year, and since I didn't want to buy a new backpack because the last one didn't work after a short while, Andy (project manager at Tefors) gave me the following offer by mail:
1. We guarantee that we will repair your 48Hr Switch. If we are not able to, we will send you a brand new Ultimatum.
2. I can extend my initial offer to 70% towards the Ultimatum bag. This process is smoother and faster.

But when I said yes to offer number 1 and asked for practical information about the packaging, I got a new email saying, that the bag i now out of warranty (he already knew, since he wrote it in his first email, and since they ignored me for a year), and that the best thing he could do was giving me a 30% discount on a new bag.

They are a waste of time, their marketing is cool, but their products low quality. And you better hope, that you are not gonna need to get in contact with them or their costumer support.

***Edit after answer from Tefors***
They keep writing the following: "We understand that the solutions we offered were not accepted, and subsequently, you sought to address the backpack’s issue by engaging a tailor."

But it's not true.
I tell them about the tailor by mail the 13.10.23

Later the same day I get an mail with their answer, where they offer the following "1. We guarantee that we will repair your 48Hr Switch. If we are not able to, we will send you a brand new Ultimatum.
2. I can extend my initial offer to 70% towards the Ultimatum bag. This process is smoother and faster."

I accept the first offer by mail the 27.01.24. I also checked the 70% discount-code, and it didn't work.

I get an answer the 31.04.24 where they say can't help but that they can give me a 30% discount.

I replied showing them the mail-thread, where I in fact due accept the offer.

20.02.24: They send another long email with the same answer as here on Trustpilot, saying that I didn't accept their offer.

In conclusion: I did accept their offer, even though they say I didn't, and they won't resolve the matter. They just want to give a regular discount, and hope that I buy another product.

We understand that the heart of this issue dates back to when you first contacted us on January 12, 2022 (2 years after you initially purchased your 48Hr Switch bag), regarding the malfunction of your backpack’s zipper. We acknowledge that there was a significant delay in our response, which certainly did not meet our standard for customer service.

This delay was not intentional but rather a regrettable oversight for which we have taken full responsibility.

As we took longer than normal to answer your message, we were open to solving your issue regardless of whether it was one week before or after the warranty.


As a small startup, and yet a growing brand, we continuously strive to learn from our mistakes and improve our processes, despite any limitations we encounter, as a small team. In the past years, we have grown a lot and we are now glad to say that Tefors is loved in more than 100 countries.

It was with this intention that we reached out to you with 2 proposed solutions that you have refused several times.

We have then remained as communicative and responsive as possible to your concerns, as you have seen in all our recent communications initiated with the intent of working with you to sort out any issues you are having.

We understand that the solutions we offered were not accepted, and subsequently, you sought to address the backpack’s issue by engaging a tailor. This intervention, while understandable from your perspective, unfortunately, complicates the possibility of solving the initial problem.

Our policy is significantly affected when a third party has attempted repairs, as it may alter the product’s original condition.

It’s important to understand that, as we mentioned in our communications, the 48Hr Switch collection is discontinued at the moment, which now, in 2024 (almost 6 months after we shared the initial solution) makes the process an impossibility.

This is why we have revisited the only solution left, which you have again refused.


We understand that we may have fallen short in regards to the delay in getting back to you initially but we hope it clarifies the situation and the fact that our team is still open to helping you get this sorted considering the most recent discussions and latest solution that we have offered.

Best Bag for travel and everyday use

Best Bag for travel and everyday use. A bit heavy, better said, sturdy, but very very practical. I got mine in Vintage Saffianoo and i wear it everyday. The add ons make it very useful.

Before I received my Tefor Ultimatum…

Before I received my Tefor Ultimatum Backpack I saw a review from someone who ordered the same bag I did for $300+ saying the zipper broke during use and they told her to buy a brand new bag instead of helping with the issue, so I was weary, and now that I have the bag, which design and feels looks great, the zippers you have to use a moderate or decent amount of strength for them to go up and down, it isn’t effortless like all my other cheaper bags, I don’t understand why the zippers to use the bag feels like such a struggle? Its very disappointing because I probably won’t be using it much simply because of that. Like if the zipper feels stuck and then in the back of my mind if I accidentally break this I’m just screwed. It’s a $300+ bag with the value of $100 bag.

Je suis très satisfait de mon nouveau…

Je suis très satisfait de mon nouveau sac à dos.Il correspond parfaitement à mon organisation de travail ( iPad, Time System, Ordi et accessoires).
Une des deux sangles avait une marque et Tefors a effectué un changement rapide et généreux avec en plus, à la clé une remise sur un futur achat.
J'espère avoir besoin bientôt de nouveaux éléments.

Form And Function

I took mine to NYC for work last week, and my coworkers and even the TSA agent were all commenting on how great it looks and how organized!

Mine is the black saffiano model with the recently added waterproof YKK zippers.

One other note - the compression cubes are insanely good! They compare well with packing cubes that retail for more than double their price!

Poor quality, poor customer service, made / ships from china.

Poor quality, arrived from china damaged. Extremely low quality plastic like leather. Contacted for a replacement and they offered a 100 gift card after I spent over 500 for the package. I declined and then they said I would have to ship it to them at my cost and then pay china import taxes. Horrible company.

Looks great, works ok (Updated)

I really wanted to love this bag. However functionality and lack of customer support changes this review from 3-4 stars, to the current rating of 2. My review goes from the good to the bad, so please read everything if you're considering purchasing from Tefors.

The Good:
The bag itself looks phenomenal and is overall well constructed with quality leather. I purchased the Vintage Saffiano finish which looks great and avoids moisture very will. (I did purchase the additional protective coating).

The OK (Functionality):
I was a little disappointed in functionality when using with all the accessories. When contracted, it is very difficult to use the smart organizer and/or cubes. The magnet connections are great to hold things in place, but the accessories get in each others way when using them. Additionally, when using any accessories in compressed mode, you can not put ANYTHING else in the bag other then a small computer and/or a few minor accessories in the mesh pockets on the computer sleeve. This makes it very difficult if you carry additional items such as an Ipad, books or files in addition to a computer. It's almost non-functional.

Some of the above issues are alleviated when you use the bags expansion feature, but it is still very difficult to get anything into or out of the bag other than the computer. You have to fully open the bag to get to the mesh pockets (in messenger bag mode) and even the external pocket has limited space to fit anything more than a phone or pair of glasses. If you have both, you're out of luck.

I have found my $20 amazon messenger bag a lot more functional than this bag costing over $400 (supposedly discounted via Kickstarter).

The bad and ugly:
My bag had a manufacturing defect with the luggage strap used to connect to rolling bags. It was unusable with my luggage. I contacted customer support and that is where I lost faith. First off all, it was nearly a week before I received a response. Secondly, the response was simply poor customer service.

I was given two options:
1) Send it back, wait 6-8 weeks for it to be sent to China for repair and pay taxes and duties.
2) Pay a discounted rate for a new bag right away.

Both are unacceptable solutions. I should not have to pay for fixing a manufacturing defect and I offered a solution of advanced replacement (which is obviously available due to having a new bag in stock to ship). Not only were the solutions not acceptable, each communication was nearly 3 days between responsive emails.

(UPDATE) - I did receive a more acceptable solution of a new bag from Tefors for only the cost of shipping.
