I received my rum model bag here in…

I received my rum model bag here in Canada which I ordered the full ultimatum pack and the quality and craftsmanship is second to none. The unboxing was a treat because they put a lot detail into their wrapping and the box it came in is very classy. They also put protective covers on each zipper and handles so that tells you they put a lot of thought into caring for the bag. Overall I'm really happy and glad I made this purchase.

I will buy again : Quality 10/10 delivery 7/10 and communication 5/10 - overall a good score 8/10

I recently posted a review about the Telfors Ultimatum bag .. here it is :

"Wooo Hooo - Mine has just arrived !! (Telfors Ultimatum bag)

The only downside is that my wife said "You should have bought TWO, it is lovely"

Then it got worse .. My daughter was visiting she said "No ! No ! ... you should have bought THREE !! "

Very happy"

.................. Having said this I need to say why only 4 out of 5 stars

The product is more than what was promised. This will last a long time and is unique and wonderful .

The issue I had with Telfors is they were late with delivery and whilst they were very kind and responded to requests about the delays ... what they wrote about was how hard they were trying and how wonderful their people were(are) rather than answer the questions directly of "where is my bag". I am certain the way they responded was cultural and not intentionally provocative.

Where I come from they could have said something like "We apologise your product is running behind schedule. Our ambition is to deliver what is promised in quality and we can't compromise on this as it would be breaking our promise to you. Delivery times have strung out and we believe that instead of delivering in(say) May this year , we believe that there is a two to three month delay because of etc etc (facts) ... we will keep in touch and do our best. Products will be delivered and we will keep you informed

.. .. anyway .. an exceptional product was delivered and so I am writing this review .

Will I buy again from Telfors ? Yes I think so .
Was the process made difficult and confusing through Kickstarter - yes I believe so .

I think Telfors can do with learning and projecting integrity - simply put "We will do what we say we will do" They said we would have an amazing bag in a certain time period - they got this half right and accidentally annoyed some people in the process byu letting so many people down with delivery times..

The company needs to learn how to meet the expectations they creat in all aspects.

I buy for quality and need - sometimes great things take longer to make than expected .. so I have forgiveness in the delay, and gratitude for the end product.

So far horrible experience....avoid : GOT FULL REFUND.

So far horrible experience, and feels like a scam.
i ordered from the official website a pair of shoes (kickstarter campaign completed a year prior) and after 6 months from my order no idea whatsoever about shipping date and no update. Customer service replied to my many emails a couple of time with empty promise (and a 2 months hiatus between his response). EDIT : I HAVE BEEN CONTACTED BY CEO ALEX AND GOT A FULL REFUND FOR MY ORDER. HE LIVED UP TO INDUSTRY STANDARD AND OFFERED SINCERELY APOLOGIES ALONG WITH REFUND.

Dont buy

After waiting neatly 5 months, i have finally received the Tefors bag, what should I say, I am very disappointed, its missing the basics of a travel bag.

a) It does not have a strap to go around over a cabin wheelie, this should of been a standard on such a case.
b) the zip and the leather is very hard and cannot expend even one millimeter which means that you cannot squash in anything, everything has to have space you cant squeeze in that last minute item.

Don't buy it, there are plenty better ones on the market for 90% less. don't fool yourself by the marketing, because that is the only good thing about the Tefors Bag,

AVOID

The delays for the Ultimatum kickstarter project have been long.

The pricing for shipping is outrageous! 5-6x estimated cost in the initial FAQ.

Atrocious communication levels throughout.

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE.

My bag has not even shipped yet (if it ever does). It could be a fantastic bag, but the experience with the company has been so poor that it does not matter anymore.

I would never back you again.

They went out of their way to make it difficult to return a shoe when they had completely got the size wrong.

Scam

Scam. Send me a completely misaligned Quadrum pen, after 10 emails over just as many months back and forth promising stuff and not doing anything, stopped answering alltogether.

I backed up their kickstarter campaign…

I backed up their kickstarter campaign "Flex 2 by Tefors". And first of all I have to say that I did recieve my order well in time. I cannot complain about that. Also when putting the shoes on for a test fit I must say that they felt quite comfortable. But they were a bit too lose and the biggest issue was, that the colour didn´t really match. I ordered the shoes in green and in their advertisment the green was shown as dark green. The green I have is the opposite from that dark green.
So I conctacted them and asked if there´s something that can be done, for example to send my pair in and get a different one.
They did respond quite quickly and said "that they´re quite busy atm with all the shipping progress but they´ll get back to me during the next few days. Also if I want an exchange I should not wear the shoes. "
Fair enough so I waited. And waited. A couple of weeks later I wrote them again. The response came again quite quickly and "they apologized and asked for a few more week, as they were still busy with the sending of the rest of the rewards."
So I waited again. And waited. And waited.
After a few months I wrote then again and again I got a quick response but now it was different.
As I mentioned before I disliked the different colour from my shoes. The answer from Tefors was "As previously mentioned, we go to great lengths to ensure that the shade of color displayed in the images matches accurately that of the real-life product. Please bear in mind that the accuracy of the actual colors you see on your monitor may depend on the level of calibration of your screen."
Furthermore of course "As we truly want you to enjoy your Flex 2.0 experience, we recommend ordering a new pair of Flex 2.0, and we are more than happy to offer them at the production price of 70.00 USD per pair + shipping fee."

Well what can I say in the end. Of course backing a project on kickstarter is combined with risks that one should be aware of and yeah maybe I was a bit naive.
I just got left with the feeling that as long as they got their money they don´t really care anymore and come up with weird arguments in the end just to not feel obliged to do anything.

About the quality of the product I can´t say anything as I didn´t wear them except when I tried them for the first time to see if they fit.

Wake up call for Tefors

There were a lot of issues after I got my pair of Tefors Flex 2.0's from the Kickstarter project. Getting a new pair that were the right fit cost me a lot of time, energy and effort, but eventually it was all sorted.

I wish half stars were possible, because I don't want to give 3 stars, but it's actually not worth 4 stars too. So I have to give a 4 star rating as I eventually got what I was promised.

I do hope it's a wake up call for Tefors as they really have been lacking in communication and kept me waiting too long.

never received my order to get the best service experience

I've been patiently awaiting the arrival of these shoes, which I purchased through Kickstarter. I understand that lead times can be extended, especially with the impact of factors like the pandemic. Despite my multiple reminders with no response, I was pleased to receive a response last week, and the service has since improved significantly. I'm now quite satisfied with the resolution we reached, the professionalism of the communication, and the exceptional quality of the product I received. In fact, I've already ordered a bag and eagerly await the arrival of another product. Thanks for making this journey end on a positive note, and I can't wait to put my new shoes to good use.

I've waited years to write this review...

EDIT : The company reached out to me lately and went above and beyond to try to understand why I was disappointed in the product.

They ended up sending me a new pair which I was able to test for a week now, so I'm able to edit my initial review.

The shoes are comfortable, and look way better than the first pair. The leather is thin but looks nice.

Where the first pair turned unwearable after the first wear, the ones I got right now seem to be ok ! There is still some wavy texture on the upper in two spots but I suspect it's a consequence of how the leather is sewed to the inner. Natural creases look as they should and these are way more comfortable than traditional work shoes.

I think these Flex 2.0 are a nice alternative for those who wanna dress up for work while being comfoirtable all day.

I'm also happy with the customer service after all. it may have been long, but the fact they reached out and were willing to send a new pair free of charge so I -could- change the review is a good sign !

Don't buy from this company !!

Worst customer service ever! I've ordered the shoes through Kickstarter in April 2021, recieved them one year later. Unfortunatly, they didn't fit (and don't look as advertised, but anyway) and I wanted to change them for a smaller size. Since then, Tefors has tried everything to avoid an exchange. Their only solution so far: order a new pair. Now they stopped answering my mail.
Very angry with this amateuristic company. Don't by anything from them. I waisted 160 $ on them, don't make the same mistake.

By the way, their reply of 30/9/23 is not true. Just a standard reply to deny my complaint.

After walking 7-10 hours a day here is my review

Decided to write a review after being a week in rome. I've walked there for 20-35 km a day and didn't experience even a little bit of discomfort. I did not like the delay of shipping like the others ,but on kickstarter its very usual ,so dont understand the frustration.. i never buy oxfords for less than 400$ and tefors are the best solution when you want to stay classy and walk for long time! Unfortunately the design could be better ,but i understood now that those holes"the design" are one of the factor that really saves it from creases in the leather ,so it has it benefits.

Backed the project for their Flex 2…

Update: so now Tefors is trying to remove my review first by making a claim that they need more info to "help me", as if they can be of any help years later otherwise the review will be removed by Trust pilot policy. After I updated my info so the review was not taken down they then emailed me with an attempt to bribe me to remove my review by giving me an discount on their new bag.

"I am X, the new Project Manager of Tefors I am personally contacting you as I know that you have been waiting for a long time and I want to make sure that we find a solution to your situation.

Ultimatum has been our 8th successful campaign and overall I must admit that we have done a great job, but we must also be transparent with you and admit that we did not do a great job in fulfilling your particular reward/ order. We are sorry about this.

The good news is that I am 100% committed to finding a way to make up for our lack of communication this whole time and I will do everything I can to find a solution that you will be content with.

Please briefly describe the problem and I make sure to solve it for our future clients as well.

As the Ultimatum is our best bag yet and also our most funded campaign ever, I would like to offer you a 65% discount on it.

We are a small business and mistakes happen, but I want to make sure that your perception of our brand is the right one. It would really help us if you would like to edit/delete your Trustpilot review.

Please let me know if you have any questions regarding this, as I am now here and happy to solve this issue together."

End of update.

Backed the project for their Flex 2 shoes in 2021 that had expected delivery summer 2021. Now sure Covid put some snags in a lot of things but here we are now October 2022 no shoes sent, their customer support stopped replying to my emails in June 2022. No replies for other backers on their very successful kickstarter that are also being completely ignored.

Long story short, the business practice of this company is utter garbage, they are either utterly incompetent being unable to fulfill their promises and over promising or they are just pain scammers.

Dissatisfied, but resolved

I was very dissatisfied with my shoes: waited 5 months and wasn't happy with the quality.

However, Tefors came back to me and really tried to resolve the issue as best as they can and even sent me new shoes to make up for this mistake.

Hi. I order my Tefors 48 hrs switch 9.5. like pre-order. I'll got it yesterday 21.6. I'll have to say that is is just what I expected. Hi quality, finalized product. I'm very Happy. Thanks to Tefors sales support/Maria who kept me updated very well. I can just recommend product and Company.

Terrible service; very good product (so far)

Let’s get the bad out of the way:
—I think the company is out of their depth with orders and cannot keep up. They made me wait 4.5 months from order to shipping. I suspect I only got the 48hr Switch because I was reporting them to American Expeess for failure to uphold their side of the transaction.

—Their communication is awful and, when they do reply, they make a lot of nonsense excuses. Everything from covid to implying the war in Ukraine has held things up. Really distasteful and a sign of poor leadership. As part of this, each team member blames the delay on another part of the business… everyone is ‘new to the team!’ even 3 months in… and getting an answer to a direct question requires several emails.

—They are not entirely transparent. They claim the bag has been discounted, despite this being a perennial price drop. They don’t make it clear on the product or order pages that, for those in the UK, import duties of c£70 will be due on top of the price we pay. I think these make the bag overpriced.

And now the good:
—The bag itself (48hr Switch in Vintage Saffiano) looks lovely, has drawn several compliments already, and design quality is excellent; although I’m not sure it’s worth the money without the discount and with the import fees. Functionally, it’s as practical as I hoped, it seems sturdy without being too heavy, and it’s great as an office bag.

And now the unknown:
—I don’t know how well made it is… how well it will last? Zippers and straps, for example. Time will tell.

—I don’t know how practical it is beyond an office bag or a camera bag… can it really stand up as a long weekend bag? The inside isn’t huge, even though it can double in depth, and the three pockets (one inside and two on the outside) are tiny in terms of length and depth.

Overall:
They could have got four stars, if the service hadn’t been as terrible as it was. And five stars if they’d done what any premium brand does re: fast shipping, fast comms, and demonstrating clear value for money (longevity of the bag). They very nearly got one star as I genuinely didn’t think it would ever turn up.

I put my order at the start of December…

I put my order at the start of December and still waiting. There is no communication. When I write I’m told to be patient. Awful customer service and frankly unacceptable - I was told I would get my order in February.

Genuine after sales support.
