It’s a mixed bag.

I did this trip the first time in London a few months back and found it fantastic, really good fun and great host.

I returned and was eager to take my partner on for a frilling fun thrilled ride as id mentioned many times.. unfortunately what we got was a dull ride up the Thames where uber boat was almost as fast, there was nothing rocket about this ride.

This was on the much bigger boat which I can only assume is to lardy and too full to make this a rocket ride.

I’ve given 3 starts purely because the first ride months back in the smaller boats was brilliant. This one was underwhelming and boring, even little kids on the back slept through the entire thing! Total waste of money really and a shame.

Recommend if you book this make sure you are on the smaller boats. The big one may look great but it’s no rocket.

What an absolutely fantastic experience with Thames Rockets! From the moment we stepped aboard, Jack and Bill made the whole trip unforgettable. Their energy, humour and professionalism were exceptional, and they had everyone laughing and smiling from start to finish.

The ride itself was exhilarating – an incredible mix of speed, excitement and stunning views of London’s famous landmarks. Jack’s commentary was brilliant, full of interesting facts and great humour, while Bill kept the fun going and made sure everyone felt comfortable and included.

What really made the experience special was the enthusiasm and personality of both Jack and Bill. They clearly love what they do, and their passion shines through. They turned a great boat ride into a genuinely memorable experience that we’ll be talking about for a long time.

If you’re visiting London or looking for something different to do, Thames Rockets is an absolute must. A huge thank you to Jack and Bill for making our day so special. Five stars aren’t enough!

What an amazing time we all had. Our host Rocky was super knowledgeable and added a bit of lightheartedness to the tour guide persona, which made a refreshing change. AJ was our skipper and he knows how to handle a boat. It was basically like being on a theme park ride, only lasting a lot longer. Brilliant fun and highly recommended.

Fantastic trip yesterday on the Thames! Our captain Bill and tour guide Ed did a fantastic job! Ed deserves a special shoutout for being super kind and patients to our son who was a little bit overwhelmed and tearful after the fast bit!

The tour, the nuggets of London knowledge, the atmosphere - absolutely class A activity to do in London! We’ve been before and we’ll be back again (perhaps not with a crying 7 year old next time!)

Really, really recommended this to anyone! Well worth the money!

Awesome ride up the Thames while we were visiting London. Everyone loved it, lots of thrills and laughter. Big thanks to Quinny the pilot and Jack the very witty tour guide for a great trip. Would highly recommend and give it 5*!!!

Quinn and Max helped make our trip on Thames Rockets really memorable. From our arrival at the dock close to the London Eye the staff were friendly and welcoming and then once out on the water ensured we were educated in an amusing way as well as the thrill we were given by skipper Quinn out in the water . The music sound track is perfect 👌 It’s a great way to see the sights and have an adrenaline rush too. Would highly recommend

Crew consisted of Max and Quinn both fantastic and made the experience. I’m not a natural adrenaline junky and did scream a couple of times but the whole family enjoyed it. A must if visiting London thank you.

Awesome Activity, the guide Rocky, skipper Bill and his apprentice Ben were amazing and made it enjoyable, will definitely do it all again 😎😆

Can't recommend it highly enough !!!

The experience was well organised by the whole team from start to finish. This was the most exciting adrenalin rush on the Thames Rocket which took us to the Thames Barrier and back.
We had Jo, John and Rocky who were all brilliant guys and they looked after us during the continual rain and cold we had on our chosen day Saturday 22/11.
I intend to go again... thank you.

We booked the Thames rocket as a treat for my sisters birthday. The whole s per pence was fantastic and we had a wonderful trip. The day was lovely despite being November. There were only six guests on our boat which was really lovely not to be too overcrowded. The staff from check in to the actual cruise were fantastic fun. It was national kindness day they said and we got a lovely gift of refillable cup and whistle from them. They also played happy birthday on the boat to my sister and she was very tickled with this ! It really made it very special. Staff were Ed in check in who is the most wonderful person to check you in, full of fun! The boat driver was Mike and he was great. They played fantastic music to match the speed, and Lotta talked us though the sights and chatted throughout. She was bright and funny, perfect for that job ? Is recommend it to anyone who like high speed boats and fresh air ! Just wonderful and you obviously see a wonderful overview of London via the Thames. It’s a must if you can make it x

The speed boat experience was an absolute hoot.
Very well organised, easy to book and good communication once we were booked in, both leading up to the event and on the day itself.
Everyone we met from TR were incredibly friendly and helpful.
The 'captain' certainly knew how to give you value for money as he expertly manouvered the boat up and down the Thames at incredible speeds.
Worth every penny and would go again myself.
In addition, I carelessly left behind my sunglasses and didn't realise until I got home.
The whole team got together and did an amazing job at reuniting me with my glasses. I could not be more impressed with everything.

It was amazing, my boyfriend had never been on a speedboat before and we both had a amazing time.
The tour guide, Jay was no1 and our driver too.
We had a fun and surine evening.
Learnt fun facts and had lots of thrills and laughs.

Had so much fun im planning on buying it again for my dad and step mum for a supirse.

Really great fun and also the guided route to the fast bit was enjoyable and informative

Absolutely one of the best things to do in London! Even as a local, this experience blew me away. The trip is the perfect balance of fun, facts and high-speed thrills – utterly exhilarating from start to finish.

Our guides Jack, Ed and Sam were fantastic – so knowledgeable, friendly, funny and helpful. They really made the whole experience even better.

I’ve done most things in London, but Thames Rockets is right up there with the very best. I’d do it again in a heartbeat!

Myself, son, daughter & Mum took a trip on the Thames Rocket on 30th July. We had a great experience & throughly enjoyed it, Imogen was our tour guide & was so lovely, she was funny, friendly & very knowledgeable.
I would also like to mention the lady at the sales office (think her name may have been Stacey but sorry not 100%). Anyway, unfortunately we missed our 10am slot due to getting lost & when we got to the dock around 10:15, we were told to call the sales office. The lady was very helpful & said there was some space on a few other trips that day & to call back nearer to the times & if still available she could move us. We managed to get spaces on the 3pm & really appreciate all her help in accommodating us.
A overall all fantastic service & trip. Thank you

This is a rip off. We booked two tickets to go on this but the instructions sent us to the wrong pier making us late. When we went to speak with them about this we were told that they'd let one of us sit on standby for an open seat but that if anyone else showed up and paid for a ticket that person would just get bumped from the ride. They were not interested in addressing the fact that they sent us to the wrong place or making this right in any way. Their entire stance was basically that customers are ripping *them* off by getting sent to the wrong pier, showing up late or trying to reschedule. They made it sound like they were just too booked to do anything about this.

We wound up going to the HMS Belfast and on one of the cruises with a day pass that let us go up and down the river for the afternoon. Now imagine my surprise when during the hours we were on the river doing other things their boats kept coming by with one, maybe two passengers. They're essentially raking in tickets for 16 people per trip while honoring less than a quarter of those tickets and issuing absolutely no refunds. Go with another company. Go with another activity. Don't pay all of that money for absolutely nothing.
