After a lifetime in gastronomy, this opportunity of becoming a Remote High-Ticket Closer, was the best thing that could happen to me.
This journey of six months (in my case) of studying and reading and transforming into the best version of myself has been a blast. I really had to go deep and confront myself, and by mirroring myself I rediscovered the genuine me and found a new purpose in life.
The Empath Closing School taught me a skillset that makes me feel rich and confident enough to face any sales situation and most of all it made me the best Empathic Closer possible, thanks to their refined program, lead by amazing, down to earth people and with great support. Basically asking if you're struggling in life financially, then pay us 3-4 THOUSAND USD and we'll make you rich! Can JUST ONE of these people proved they signed up for it? I.e. you don't spend a few grand WITHOUT a receipt!
Very suspicious reviews, looking like AI generated or made up by the woman promoting it with a grating west midlands accent. Surely if you were making so many people rich, you'd have enough dollars to fix your thinning hair?!
These ads are intrusive and totally irrelevant to me,.. please go away! I'm the one who walked away from over a million bucks because I know exactly what's been going on in elite circles decades before certain files got dropped, heavily redacted!

The Empath Closing School delivered on what I signed up for.

Lara has done a wonderful job on this program.

Firstly, the prerecorded classes cover everything you need to know. Some of the early "motivational" type classes had me slightly put off, but I know they were there to maximise the chances that even the less driven people would be given everything they need to succeed. All the other information is broken down into accessible parts, step by step.

The sales process taught is indeed very empathic, zero unethical techniques. You'll be taught how to truly find what is holding someone back and walk them through to making a positive change if they have indeed found the right offer for them.

If you're anything like me and a bit of an introvert but comfortable exploring the deeper parts of someone's life and psychology, you'll find this process to be really rewarding. Confidence and leadership are definitely needed.

You will have to create a sense of urgency, but that is through having honest conversations about a prospects pain, not manipulation or blasting features and benefits.

Lara runs multiple live classes a week which are recorded if you can't make them. In those you'll find a ton of nuanced, insightful information that boost confidence and knowledge, every session without fail.

The only issue I had with the certification process was that my availability limited me to afternoons/evenings US time to book role plays. This meant that it took me a while to get the bookings I needed to practice enough to submit a recording. This isn't so much a limitation of the program (as I can't see any other way of doing it) but its something to keep in mind if you're wanting to get certified quickly and don't have a super wide availability.

After certification you'll have access to a job board, tools and guidance to get set up and applying on Linkedin, and a member of Lara's team shortlisting you for jobs if available and you seem like a good fit.

I am currently starting a fulltime position as an appointment setter with the RTT school (Marisa Peer). It is not technically a sales position, however I am a fan of the RTT offer, so I took it to be part of the team and will apply to be a closer when a position is available. If you wanted to hold off and apply only for closer roles, there is nothing stopping you from doing that.

At the end of the day, I've acquired an in-demand skill set, with the potential for good income, freedom to live as an expat and work with inspiring offers in the niche I'm passionate about.

I'd class this as a well worthwhile investment.

For any skeptics, yes this is legit and Lara is a dedicated and talented trainer. Her program is not only flexible in the conventional sense, she designed it to meet people where they are. This is why her graduates are not only fully prepared to either enter or reenter the field, but why many describe the experience as transformational. If you are considering the school to build skills and increase your income, get ready for much more.

I enrolled in the ECS in November 2025. I'm two months into the training program, and I absolutely love it! The 'sales call' was not a typical sales call at all. It was very comfortable and friendly, and I felt at ease, not pushed, into making the decision to join this training. The training itself is amazing and very thorough, and the support is terrific. The community of trainees is genuine, and I feel seen and excited to be a part of something so aligned with my values. I'm looking forward to completing my certificate and landing a position with a brand/company that also aligns with my values and supports the lifestyle that I've always wanted. The Empath Closing School offers a structured program to learn conversational closing in an ethical way. It comprises mindset, human psychology of decision making and communication skills like active listening. Then it offers guided practice with a great peer community and expert coaching on a weekly basis. After certification there's a module to prepare for hiring and you are accompanied until you're well settled in a job. The atmosphere is positive, encouraging and down to earth. I'm certified and preparing for getting hired and I'm having a great experience so far. Also, you pay a fixed program fee (in 1x or in parts) and there are no extra costs. It's all inclusive to get you to a result.

I joined the Empath Closing School in November 2024 after having given up my profession due to my elderly mother needed assistance.
I had been looking for work online as this is all I could do in my situation, something remote where I could find fulfilment, freedom and a good salary. This is a well deserved 5 star review! I came across The Empath Closing School's ad when traveling in Panama. I loved the idea from the beginning. Signed up and began to do the work.

From the start there was an emphasis on mindset. I appreciated it but at first did the work casually. As I thought back on my purchase I committed to myself that I needed to do this for me, my wife and my future. It was work but I actually winded up loving the process.

I'm a graduate of ECS and a retired businessman, sharing my balanced, unbiased but brutally honest view of the closer industry anonymously. All sharings reflect my direct experience with ECS program, my own placement and interactions with its alumni network.

ECS launched in 2023 as a large-scale seller of training courses in remote sales. It teaches high-ticket closing with structured live/recorded training, roleplays and submission of mock-call evaluation for certification. Support was mostly in group sessions. Lara, being the sole trainer, has limited bandwidth for one-on-one guidance. 100+ international students are typically enrolled at a time. Through targeted ads, ECS attracts English-speaking expats—many teachers living in countries like Thailand, Costa Rica or Europe seeking Western-level income.

In Q2/2025, ECS revamped its model. It began providing external job placements and structured post-certification support, pausing new enrollments. This followed multiple complaints and refund requests, a wise strategy made to improve its reputation and limit mass refunds. Post-Q2/2025 graduates gained access to a private job board listing over 100 opportunities across industries such as fitness, dating, spirituality, health, finance, real estate, AI, business, porn addiction recovery, fertility, cannabis and podcasting. ECS also connects graduates to sales agencies hiring for multiple roles.

Pre-Q2/2025, graduates were placed primarily in partner companies Mind Movies, Marisa Peer or ECS itself—affiliated through shared ownership by John Davy, Marisa Peer's husband.

Some earlier enrollees have expressed feeling misled about job connections/income potential with unmet expectations. Many that were offered roles with a partner company have described the main issues to be—low lead volume and poor quality, with the best leads allocated to managers/top closers. While ECS emphasizes ethical sales, the reality of these roles involved high pressure to close financially distressed prospects—morally challenging, as many graduates were in similar positions when enrolled in ECS. Based on closure rates against objective lead volumes/show ups, the average monthly income of graduates placed in this specific partner company was found to be way below the “Western-level" income claimed. Combined with lead droughts, closers cycled out within months, often blaming themselves for failures. Some accepted modest sporadic monthly incomes of $1k or less, or a very slow start. Others returned to their past professions disillusioned, or sought refunds. While unverified claims about partner setups can be disputed, the short average tenure of graduates placed in this partner company is telling.

The “remote closing” trend began during the pandemic, when online coaches/course creators needed people to sell via Zoom. The term was popularized by Dan Lok, Cole Gordon and online educators who rebranded inside sales as independent and lucrative. Legitimate remote closer jobs are rarely advertised publicly. They usually appear on private job boards/closed networks, the most tangible benefit ECS now offers to graduates. Breaking into this industry without a paid course is hard, with or without relevant experience. Many public ads for remote closer roles are scams or “Done For You” agencies run by inexperienced individuals of digital marketing backgrounds, running on hype over results.

It became clear through my ECS experience that the quality of an offer matters more than closing skill. An average closer can thrive selling a strong in-demand product. Conversely, the best closer will struggle selling unproven offers with poor brand credibility. While the industry is growing, it remains in its infancy. Stable, well-paid opportunities are rare and offered mainly to seasoned sales professionals—not newly certified course graduates. Most offers also operate in US time zones, with fewer in UK/CET and limited options for AUS/Asia-based closers.

As many hiring companies are small/newly established, closers often face issues such as inconsistent lead flow, unreliable marketing funnels, unproven/low-value products, weak operational systems, poor management, unstable commission-only income. When results are poor, closers are often blamed for structural issues. Yet no sales technique can fix a broken funnel or weak product offer.

Graduates should recognize that if, after several months of consistent effort, income remains minimal, the issue is likely systemic—not personal. That said, when a graduate does find a rare great offer, it can be rewarding. More recent graduates have secured meaningful roles connected by ECS, following + changes.

If you're new to the high-ticket space and not sure what is a scam and what isn't, please hear me when I say: this is not a scam. Why? Because you actually have to do a lot of work :D. This is no walk in the park!
You are learning a whole new skill that requires hours of practice and taking control of your own learning! Of course, there is support, and it's probably one of the best online communities I've ever been a part of. I've been working as a closer, because of Lara and her school, for the last 6 months, and it's been amazing to find this new career path whilst I find my feet in a new country. Of course, you have naysayers online saying this or that about this programme. Those are the people I can almost guarantee didn't do the work. Now that I work in the high-ticket space, I see this pattern. Don't come into this thinking you can put no effort in and end up with a brand new life. That's not how it works. But the results are real if you do put in the work. Not only do they teach you a new skill, but they also put you in front of a lot of employers and vouch for you. It's incredible. If you're thinking about doing it, then take all the time you need, but I promise you it works if you do the work.

I have recently been certified from the Empath Closing School and would thoroughly recommend their programme to anyone looking to learn high-ticket sales techniques. I came to this programme with no previous skill set in this area and was very impressed by all the elements of the programme.

This programme focuses on ethical sales techniques and, as such, takes away the moral discomfort I initially felt going into sales training.

I am a retired X Pat living in Thailand. I was looking to find a way to make money online and I discovered the Empath Closing School. I spoke to Ryan on the phone from ECS and he explained about the program and how successful I could become. He was a perfect example of that fact as he shared with me a bit of where the journey brought him. I was impressed with his obvious success. I wanted to achieve that kind of success too, but I had limiting beliefs and doubts that stood in my way. He helped me to see through those things, as I often stand in my own way of making difficult decisions and changes which would benefit me. The truth is, it was all up to me to move forward and succeed if I wanted to.
I signed up and was given access to the community and all the study materials. The best thing about the training is there is no time limit to get through it all so there is no pressure like in college. I had a year. I had read through the training modules which were guided by videos with Lara. She explained everything I needed to learn and was so encouraging on the videos to move forward. I liked her training style. She was happy, friendly, funny, encouraging and gave you slight nudges to keep moving forward. I was aware of how the material was structured in a certain sequence for easy overall comprehension. I was really impressed by that. In time, I learned enough to start doing role plays with fellow students. It was the biggest surprise of all, the fact that I would be connecting with people from all over the world, working on a mission together to better our lives and learn a new life skill that would employ us. We come from all walks of life. I met some amazing people and developed some good friendships and learned a bit about the rest of the world as well.
I was ready to certify. I submitted my first mock call, and it was rejected. I did something wrong. It was sent back to me with an explanation of why I didn’t pass and what I did wrong. Of course, after reviewing it myself it was so obvious, and I had to laugh at myself! The second submission went better but it wasn’t until the third time that I was certified. I learned each time from feedback on how to improve my skills. I was thrilled when I got the news about my certification!
After certification, I studied the continuing modules designed to prepare you for getting a job in the real world. I learned about how to interview, how to present my strengths, how to record an interview video of myself and how to write the perfect resume. All essential. Lara took the time helped me with all my struggles regarding the resume and the videos, which were especially challenging for me. I haven’t applied for a job in 25 years.
Since certification, I used the ECS provided job board and applied and interviewed for many positions. I want to work as a closer and use my learned skills. I took a job as a setter for right now. I’m learning more about the industry. I’m considering this phase as more training before I take a closer job. I’m learning more about the software used and the whole logistics of how this industry works.
This wasn’t an easy journey. I had to stay motivated. I attended all of Lara’s weekly group zoom sessions. I did all that was asked of me to move forward. I had the drive to get through it. The first week I put a sticky on the wall in front of my computer that says, “Don’t give Up!” It is still there months later, and I had no idea how much power it would have.
I saw some negative reviews on the internet about ECS. I don’t know who or why someone put them there, but they couldn’t be further from the truth! Scam? How could it be a scam if I am already certified? It really bothers me that someone would criticize Lara. She is the most giving, dedicated, selfless person I have ever encountered. I have HUGE respect for her as it is well deserved. She has amazing stamina, she is a great communicator, she is very knowledgeable and fun to work with. All and all, an amazing and genuine human being.

Signing up with the ECS is probably one of the best things I have ever done. Six months in and I am now a Certified Remote Advisor and Closer, with a wealth of job opportunities in front of me. But more than that - the experience has changed me and made me a better person! The people I studied and practised with are incredible, and the training has been amazing. I have joined a community, where for no step of the way have I been alone. Support and guidance is provided throughout the journey in a professional and friendly manner.
