Iâve been training at The Fitting Rooms (TFR) since last November, and itâs been such an incredibly positive experience for me. From the taster session and initial meeting, I felt completely at ease. Yas was super empathetic, understanding, and genuinely encouraging about where I was at in my health and fitness journey, which made a huge difference in my confidence from the start.
Since joining, I have found the trainers to be consistently supportive and motivating. The booking system is super easy to use, and the session timings are flexible enough to fit around a wide range of schedules, which makes it much easier to plan around my sporadic work hours. Iâve been doing the Shared PT sessions and find them fantastic - the groups are small enough to feel personal, while still giving you the chance to train alongside really lovely, motivating people.
One thing that really stands out to me about TFR is the atmosphere. Thereâs no bravado, no judgement, and no pressure - just genuine, sincere encouragement. Having never trained before, I wasnât quite sure what to expect as sometimes you can come across quite toxic fitness mentalities. TFR really is the complete opposite of that. I think what makes it so special is the balanced, nurturing mindset that's really focused on helping you grow at your own pace.
I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a positive, welcoming, and truly encouraging training environment!
I couldnât recommend The Fitting Rooms more. Iâve never really enjoyed exercise, but this is the first gym Iâve stuck with, and Iâve now been doing shared PT here for nearly a year. I genuinely enjoy training in a small group, as it means I donât have all the attention on me, which can be overwhelming, while still feeling fully supported. As a result, Iâve seen my strength (and confidence) increase massively.
All the trainers are fantastic, they know exactly when to push you and when youâve reached your limit for the day. Each has a different style, but theyâre all consistent in their approach, which makes it easy to track progress and stay motivated. Having lots of options in terms of time slots and sessions also helps a lot. With a busy work and social life, I can choose the timing that works best for me. All of this makes it easy to head to the gym, even on a grey, cold winter day.
Joining The Fitting Rooms (TFR) in July 2024 was one of the best decisions I have ever made for my health, fitness and wellbeing. Having trained at various other gyms but never lasting longer than a few months, I have felt completely at home at TFR. I leave every session feeling motivated for the day ahead having had a brilliant session with the excellent training team. I take part in the shared PT sessions and sometimes itâs only myself and the PT! It is a great space to meet new people and get to know those who attend regularly. The professionalism and expertise of all the trainers is the best that I have experienced and I am lifting weights that I wouldnât have gone anywhere near if I was training alone. I mostly train with Ryan and Lucy and they go above and beyond to make sure that I am doing the exercises correctly and improving my form, theyâre both wonderful company as well. The fantastic facilities are up to date and are always clean. The showers and changing rooms are also great to use before cracking on with the rest of my day. I genuinely look forward to training here and I am pleased TFR is a big part of my life - would highly recommend!

I joined The Fitting Rooms two years ago at 37, having never really trained consistently in a gymâjust the occasional workout without much structure, focus, or clear goals. My main motivation was to build lasting strength as I approached 40 and to help prevent further knee injuries, having previously torn both my ACL and MCL.
I can confidently say Iâve achieved those goals and moreâI have never felt this strong. Recently, after sustaining a bone bruise while playing rounders, I was able to recover and return to training much faster than I expected, and I truly credit that to the work Iâve put in at The Fitting Rooms.
Trainers like Lucy and Ashley are incredibly patient and helpful in finding exercises that work around my knee injury, while still pushing me to improve. Honestly, I still canât believe Iâm able to deadlift properly now. The owners are incredibly supportive and accommodating, especially with my need for a flexible schedule. I've been training at The Fitting Rooms for over five years now, and I can't recommend it highly enough. Before joining, I had never set foot in a gym apart from to use the treadmill or cross trainer. Weights felt intimidating, and I always stuck to cardio because it was what I knew. That changed when I joined The Fitting Rooms.
The shared personal training setup is perfect for someone like me. Thereâs a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, but the sessions are still focused and tailored. One of the biggest benefits has been not having to plan my workouts or worry about what weights to lift - everything is taken care of by the trainers, which takes away so much of the mental load.
The team strikes the right balance between pushing you to progress while still being understanding of your limits. I've really grown in confidence thanks to their support, and I'm now doing things in the gym I never imagined I would!

I enjoy working out alongside other clients â who are genuinely encouraging and down-to-earth.
If you want somewhere that guarantees progress (as long as you show up), this is it. Theyâve massively improved both my physical and mental health.

I have been training at TFR for 10 years now and thatâs a total testament to skills, knowledge and delivery of consistent results by the TFR team of real professionals.
They really tailor your programme to your individual needs (including managing any injuries you collected before you joined them) and keep things fresh and challenging by really regular programme changes.
I believe that I have increased my strength levels dramatically and through regular training I have maintained all my gains over the past 10 years - strength is really important for women especially as we age.

Their workout plans are really well thought through and tailored to yiu, and they've worked around an injury I have really well. Joined the Fitting Rooms in December 2023 and have had 1 to 1 PT twice weekly for at least the past 12 months. I have a degenerative disease called Axial Spondyloarthritis. This intermittently affects my ability to move and the treatment suppresses my immune system. Despite this, I have been able to train, because Dave modifies the programme to my differing abilities. Itâs a testament to The Fitting Rooms that Iâm still going strong. Iâve lost 20% of my body fat and 22 kilos despite my disability. I would recommend anyone who has a long term condition, and who feels that this limits their potential to be stronger, fitter and more healthy to give The Fitting Rooms a try. The trainers are sensitive to needs that change session to session and never make me feel Iâm a failure, even training doesnât go as planned.
