An update on my purchase of towels from House of Emily. I sent an email stating the problem - 5 towels were frayed at the edges & threads pulled. Terrible quality. They got back to me asking for order number, which I sent. Then asked for photos of towels which I sent. Then asked for breakdown on which towels were affected. So I guess I’m not getting a refund unless I take multiple photos with measurements. Towels will go in the bin, I can’t offer them to my guests. Never again.

We had a terrible experience with thehouseofemily. Bought 2 bath robes one is fine the other isn't fit for purpose, can't be used. It loses fluff all the time and like very dusty. We had been in contact with them, all they say is washing instructions. Best thing for it is to be returned as it can't be used as what it was bought for.

AVOID ORDERING FROM THESE.. FAULT WITH A DRESSING GOWN AND THEY REFUSED TO HELP IN ANY WAY ! NO REFUND NOT EVEN A GOOD WILL GESTURE.. WILL NEVER ORDER FROM HOUSE OF RIPOFF AGAIN

Ordered a bathrobe according to their sizing but it was extremely big. I had to pay to return it and bought a smaller size. This was actually bigger than the original size I bought. I emailed to explain but the customer service was pretty poor and wouldn't acknowledge that their sizing was inaccurate. I said I didn't think I should have to pay to return the item but they weren't having any of it. They need some lessons in how to deal with customers.

I find it really difficult to buy my parents presents for birthdays and Christmas. Glad I have discovered The House of Emily website as proving to be a good source of quality presents for my folks!!

Feedback from my dad after I bought him the Turkish cotton flannelette duvet cover for his birthday in November.

"Oh what a snug night I had under the new flannelette bed set.
Thank you. After gardening at the weekend and then taking the rubbish to the tip on Monday in this awful weather went to lie on the bed at 5pm ended up under the lovely warm duvet cover and slept and slept as I was so snug. Ended up after changing in to pyjamas sleeping through till 9am. Gorgeously snug."

I therefore have no hesitation in recommending the cosy, soft flannelette bedding.

For Christmas I bought them Hunter Green Turkish towels, 650gsm for extra luxurious feel. Mum loved the colour and softness.

Cheapest quality and terrible customer service . They take your money in exchange for bad quality goods , and offer no support or compensation . And good luck trying to get through to customer care.

I bought a dressing gown from this company. Order number; 40325624

It felt fab. But I'm 5'5 and it's almost down to my ankles, it’s also incredibly heavy. The sleeves are uber long. And it took over a day to dry, including hanging up and then in the dryer on low heat too, several times.

It’s impractical if it takes over a day to dry each time I wash it.

It took them a while to respond and I never had one person’s name, each email reply was anonymous and only had the company name. Very cold and impersonal emails.

And their eventual response: “Many thanks for providing this information.
Unfortunately we are unable to accept the return of used bathrobes.”

It’s not used! I merely washed it when I opened the packet and it’s not practical to use it, as it’s too heavy!

So this company has made money and I’m stuck with a product I can’t use. Glad other companies have more manners and good returns policies.

Even charity shops let you try on clothes and return them if you don't like them,

If this website said; "Buy our products but you can't try them on or wash them, if you then need to return it/them" I would not have parted with my money.

Would never use this company again.

I ordered two double & one king size mattress cover from The house of emily, the parcel arrived with one double and one kingsize. I contacted the above company after a very long argument about the package. I informed the company on arrival the box was wet and damaged. They got back to me to say DHL sent a photo and the box was not damaged. A replacement was sent, however, I discovered one of the double mattress cover zip is damaged. At the beginning of May 2021, I contacted the above company , firstly I was told my return date was expired. I email them back to say I am aware of their return policies, hence what is their policy on damaged goods. Two days ago I received an email to say they are happy to give me a discount. The main issue is the damaged zip and I cannot open the cover. I guest I have to wait and see their response.

I recently ordered 2 mattress covers and pillowcases and must say I was very impressed with the quality of them all and the way they were packaged.I would definitely use this company again.I had to telephone to add an extra to the order and had a very helpful and quick response from the gentleman on the phone.Highly recommend.
