Good service if you want a quick sale. You don't necessarily get the high price but for ease of sale it's worth taking the hit. If you want higher price and have the time sell direct

Don't deal with this fly by night group.

I asked for a valuation which was accepted. I had loads of emails telling me how efficient they were and my van could be collected in a day.
It all sounded so good, so I emptied the van and awaited a call from their driver and.....wait for it.....nothing.... absolutely nothing, they had changed their minds and couldn't be bothered to tell me.

Neither was I able to get them to reply to my emails. I totally waisted my time.

Today (29th June 25) I had an email reply:

"Good Morning Raymond,

I am writing in response to your 1-star Trust Pilot review dated 28th June.

We understand your frustration, and we are very sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations.

The assessor originally assigned to your job, Graham, has been exceptionally busy with a high volume of assignments recently, which unfortunately led to this oversight. This is no excuse, and we take full responsibility for the communication breakdown.

Please be assured that we are taking your feedback very seriously. The assessor will be in direct contact with you today, to discuss your review in detail and work towards a resolution.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We value your business and hope to have the opportunity to rectify this situation."

You'll be interested in if anything was sorted out to by satisfaction today as promised?

The answer is no. I haven't heard from anyone from this outfit today, despite the soothing reassurances.

I had another reply:
Good Morning Raymond,

Although we accept that you were not contacted initially and take full responsibility for this, further attempts to make contact with you have been unanswered or the call has been declined.

As this public forum seems to be your preferred method of communication I will advise here that I think it is probably in both our best interests that we withdraw our offer to purchase your vehicle.

We wish you all the best in the sale of your vehicle.

I received one call today from a number I didn't recognise, it rang off seconds later before I could reach the phone.
This outfit has a problem of comprehension. There was no offer (apart from an email) There was no contact for days and only because of my review. Despite a promise to speak to me yesterday (29th June) they failed on that one too.

It there loss not mine.

They would have got my van for far less than half its value. I didn't mind that I have no further use for it and I have owned it for eight years so already had my money's worth.
I just think they acted unprofessionally. It no good saying things in email that had no intentions of honouring. I presume they thought the longer they keep me waiting the more desperate for money I would get and drive their offer down more as similar things have been experienced by other unhappy reviewers.

Was given lots of information and driver kept in contact,he was very polite and friendly, would have been nice if he was given the right postcode but it got sorted

I could not fault The LeisureBuyer group on buying my 20plate motorhome, they only dropped a bit of the offer price but it was understandable and reasonable.
Cameron from the collection team is an asset, spoke his way through the inspection and told what they may drop the price for tyres and an oil light on.
Very good experience.

This was a painless transaction. Everything went smoothely from start to finish as promised. Would have liked a bit more for my immaculate caravan…

I was offered £14,000 for my motorhome, a Fiat Ducato Airstream,on the basis of photographs I provided. It had very minor back-end damage, which I photographed honestly. Their "assessor" Jon arrived two hours late. He took out a damp meter and claimed that there was extensive damp all over the van. This van had a satisfactory habitation inspection only 8 months ago. The assessor said that due to the "damp", The Leisure Buyer did not now want it. But he would phone around all his dealer contacts to see if any of them would take it. He then said he had found a buyer that would take it for scrap value of £3,000. I believed him about the damp and so I agreed. He said the company that was buying it was called "Lang Trading Ltd" and he wrote this on a piece of paper with a fake address (I googled it later). I was so stressed out and so mortified to have, he said, bought a "dangerous" vehicle. But I bought it from Webb's Motorhomes only 8 months ago for £28,000. I only realised when I got home that it WAS actually The Leisure Buyer who bought it for £3,000, under their company name Langley Trading (Northwest) Ltd. So all the stuff about the damp and the phone calls to other dealers was just a complete pantomime to make me accept a rock bottom price. The van was sited on a farm and the farmer wanted it gone by the end of the month, and it is a long drive from my home, and I have nowhere to keep it at my home. All of my life savings were in that van and this man Jon completely dispassionately told lie after lie to make me so distressed that I agreed to a terrible deal. I am so upset.

We found TLS second to none with their services would strongly recommend them

The gentleman was informative, polite, explained everything, well presented. Kept us abreast of his arrival time. Nothing was to much trouble. Accredit to his company and profession.

We sold are caravan, the other day and the bloke that came out was very professional, only took 30 mins to check over are caravan and money was sent within 5 mins!!! Will be recommending to others, please don’t listen to the bad reviews, it’s customers who are obviously disgruntled after a fault is found with their caravan and have been given a realistic value.

We sold out motohome and the service was excellent my husband and I are very pleased thank you we will most definitely be recommending you to our friends

Hi just sold my motorhome today,had read the reviews,but gave them ago,didn’t quite get what was quoted because there was some damp issues,which the independent specialist showed me,but got the money instantly into my bank,all done effortlessly,very happy

We have made an agreement with them today, I feel they were very helpful and efficient, date of purchase is Monday, so I will keep you updated on our experience, pray it’s positive and not the lots of negative I have read!🙏

Avoid this company at all costs
Gave a valuation which was accepted then arranged a time to view
Had 3 calls in between confirming all details then never bothered turning up or even a courtesy call to say they would not make it
Emailed the company on the day to be told they are waiting on me providing details so they could make a valuation
Replied that all details was won firmed the day before and to stop with the lame excuses no reply since

All I can say is what a shower of manure company wasting my time as I had to take a day off work unpaid for this

Would not recommend them to anyone avoid like the plague run by liars

Would give 0 stars if possible!! We had for sale our 2019 twin axel tourer which we were selling only due to purchasing a static van. Due to the slow market, and wish to sell sooner rather than later we chose to use The Leisure Buyer... huge mistake. We were given an online quote which would have been acceptable to us and so arranged for someone to come and assess the van with view to sell at the quoted offer. A young gentleman arrived, who carries out the assessments on behalf of the company. After over an hour of almost dismantling the inside of our van, he comes back to us stating there are irreparable areas of damp in the front locker. We have had the van for 3 years and damp checked with never any concerns. With this in mind, we chose to make a cut in the flooring ( much to the shock of the assessor) where he stated the damp was and we found that the wood was in a completely satisfactory state, not a single sign of damp anywhere. Long story short, we were offered £3000 less than the original quote. Unfortunately, due to the need to sell, we decided to take the offer. Only a week later, we have seen our van advertised in Southport on a dealers website and on ebay for £9000 more than we accepted. We were told that southport is where The Leisure Buyers main depot is and where our van was being taken so can only assume that this dealership is run by the same company or is just as rogue. The Leisure Buyer are the most deceitful people I have had the displeasure of dealing with. Steer clear at all costs.

If I could have given a zero star I would . Absolute shockingly poor company really don’t waste your time with this company I did read the poor reviews but decided to give them a try . Bad mistake no communication said we’re going to pick up Motorhome after we accepted their offer heard nothing tried contacting no answer took half a day off work too got emails saying what happens next congratulated us on selling the Motorhome then nothing
STEER CLEAR OR YOU WILL BE LEFT AS SORRY AS ME

Sent pictures and recent damp report. I then received an offer which I accepted.

Pick up time was agreed. Driver messaged to say he'd be late so I arrived at the agreed time. Waited 30 mins so I called him, he was still 45 minutes away.

Driver arrived, inspected the caravan, buyers pulled out.

My caravan had been described accurately and most damp readings on the day were lower than service report.

No opportunity to speak to the buyer, driver just sends messages on WhatsApp.

One of the worst customer experiences I have ever had.

Contacted Leisurebuyer to sell my caravan,dealt with their driver as their Office did not answer calls,agreed a price and pick up appointment, nothing in writing though. Failed to turn up or to message me why,failed to answer follow-up call.
I leave it to you to judge whether to trust these people………avoid!
