We pre-ordered a 7 foot Dicksonia Antartica tree fern at a very competitive price. Although it took quite a time before it came, when it arrived the delivery went smoothly and the driver was very helpful. The quality of the tree fern received exceeded our expectations and was a very healthy specimen. We were very happy with the whole process and would order from them again in the future.

Superb customer service and great plants. Ordered two trachycarpus fortunei and one washingtonia robusta. The latter, although in excellent condition, was slightly smaller than I had expected and as this was going direct into a border I rang for advice. Upon calling Allan he was very patient and explained the plant species to me, how they grow and look, however he was completely obliging and offered me a no-fuss exchange. Allan scheduled a swap-over the following week (Queen's Jubilee allowing) and the driver called in advance to check i was at home. Now all three plants are in my garden looking resplendent and I absolutely WILL order from this company again (and again), I fully recommend The Palm Tree Company to anyone considering a purchase. The plants are much bigger and better quality than I have seen in shops so, for me at least, I believe it's worth the extra and when you have excellent service like this I don't quibble, I'm very very happy. Amazing company. Possibly the best supplier of tropical trees in the U.K. I ordered a large tree fern from them a few weeks back, which was delivered quickly and without any issues. I then ordered a small Trachycarpus, which again was delivered very quickly. Upon arrival I felt the tree was a bit too small (my own fault for not ordering a large enough tree) so I emailed and asked if they would be willing to exchange for a larger tree if I paid the difference, which they were absolutely fine with. Replacement tree just been delivered today and it’s perfect. We will definitely be buying more from The Palm Tree Company in the coming months/years! The free delivery is a fantastic bonus.

The most beautiful 7ft Lemon tree arrived exactly when Alan said it would. It is absolutely beautiful and exactly as described. Paul, who delivered it, could not hae been more helpgful and took it to exactly where I wanted it - which was some distance from the road. I will certainly be buying from here again. Many thanks.

My experience with The Palm Tree company was excellent. I ordered an olive tree and it arrived in less than a week. It is a lovely tree, the driver Jack was so helpful. I am 100mtrs off the main road down a lane which is normally a issue for the drivers!! but not Jack, he came down the lane delivered the tree then asked where it was being planted. He help us get the tree to its planting spot by getting across the lawn on boards. Never thing twice about purchasing any thing from them. Great company and staff.

What a find!
A great variety of plants and trees that I could not find anywhere else. I emailed and called for advice and both were responded to by Alan very promptly. My plants arrived exactly as described, both correct height and pot size and in fantastic condition. They were delivered by their own independent driver, who was also great, especially after traveling such a great distance as I am located 7 hours from the company. A great experience from start to finish and I am in love with my new plants and cannot wait to place my next order already. Thank you Alan :)

I had the most distressing and disturbing experience with this company who sold a plant quite different in height description and pot size to what I thought I was purchasing. The website was and remains misleading despite being told it would be corrected following their agreement that the plant was NOT as described. The plant was sold at height 2ft - 2.5ft in 10 litre pot. As can be seen the plant is not even inches tall. This Company I believe have measured from base of pot to tip of frond which was held vertical by a bamboo cane. Over 3 days I have battled to obtain a refund, 30 emails + 20 of my photos of the incorrectly described plant later, 2 days being adversely affected the 3rd was completely ruined because I had to wait in all day and most of the evening for collection of the £54.95 plant because a refund was persistently refused until the plant was physically back with this company. The plant has been received today and I am informed the refund has been processed.

My orders took a while to fulfil, but I realise Brexit/COVID didn't help. I ordered an agave and 2 cactuses. One of the cactuses, as we agreed, was replaced with another species of equivalent value in order to speed things along. The other was significantly larger than ordered, which was great. The agave is also very good. Could communicate more proactively about order status perhaps but in fairness always very prompt in responding to e-mails.

I have been waiting for the Dicksonia tree ferns to come in stock , I received a curtsy email Friday 2nd July advising these would be available for sale first come first served basis Saturday 3rd July 8am , I managed to get my 6Ft tree I’ve been looking for 😃 , the tree arrived on Tuesday 6th so fast unbelievable and what an amazing specimen lovely thick truck nice and straight I haven’t seen anything as good in any of my local garden centres I could not be more happier with the purchase , this is my second big tree purchase from this company and it couldn’t have gone any smoother I highly recommend this company with piece of mind your going to get a super plant thank you 👍 👏

Ordered a Trachycarpus Fortunei online on the Thurs and it was delivered to Central Scotland on the following Tues. This was my first experience using
The Palm Tree Co and plant arrived in good condition (a couple of leaves were bent/broken) i expected this for a plant being transported from Lancs to Scotland (i've done this in the car just from the local garden centre!). Was given lots of excellent advice by the delivery driver on care for the plant and how to protect it against the Scottish winters, fingers crossed. Would recommend this company to family/friends and would definitely use again.

My musa basjoo arrived and it’s absolutely beautiful, strongly recommend this company. They keep in good contact and evidently care so much about their plants. Definitely a trustworthy and brilliant company.

Used them for the first time recently to purchase a large tree fern. The plant was delivered promply in exceptional condition and has settled in splendidly. At the price, it is a steal. An exceptional company.

I ordered my 7ft bird of paradise house plant on 16/05/2021 and was told at check out it may take 7 working days.
It arrived 3 days later and omg I love it, what an eye catching plant! Thank you so much, I won’t be going anywhere else to order my plants in the future

I am an old customer of Chris, and over the years I have bought several citrus trees from Palm Tree Company. I have recently received several trees, all absolutely fantastic and healthy. Covid has been extremely challenging and also post Brexit, but as always, Chris and his team have been working extremely hard to deliver these plants and trees and I am over the moon with all my purchases. Paul, the delivery driver is very helpful and goes out of his way to make sure plants are delivered on time. I would not go anywhere else for my gorgeous plants and trees. Highly recommended one stop plant shop.

I am a severely disabled housebound fanatic garden loving lady living in London when I spoke to Chris the owner of The Palm Tree Company in Yorkshire he seemed like a genuine gentleman, therefore I decided to trust him and ordered over the course of the summers in both 2019 and 2020 I bought six 6 and 7 feet tree ferns and two 6ft banana plants which all arrived safe and sound and were delivered by a lovely gentleman called Paul. However I am really upset and feel somewhat discriminated against as a disabled person because when I complained about one of the tree ferns which had abnormal fronds growing sideways instead of upward!! I'm getting the runaround. Chris assured me the fronds would grow normally the following year, but it only very poorly produced 7 fronds in 2020 and it has since died!! Allan his manager assured me on the phone and in an email me he would replace it last month. But nothing has been delivered and both Allan and Chris now don't answer the phone.

I have purchased many plants from Chris over the last few years Some great some not so,the worst ones being a fishtail palm lasted less than a year 2x Italian cypresses 10ft not much longer,Very expensive fails tbh I think I will give up buying specimen plants,Too much money to loose when they die

I had ordered two large cordylines from The Palm Tree Company. They both arrived promptly and were delivered by a very pleasant helpful driver who wheeled them into our back garden for us.

Unfortunately, after his departure, we realised that one of the trees wasn't as it should have been, with a piece of bark missing from the trunk. I contacted The Palm Tree company who agreed to pick it up and either replace or refund. We chose a refund & the cordyline was duly collected a couple of days later by same helpful driver.

I am always a bit worried when buying on the internet, especially when it is a large sum of money, however, we received an email the following day to say they had the tree back in good order and were issuing a refund which arrived in our account two days later. Problem sorted promptly.

I would say that this company does have a bit of a problem with answering the phone & are not easily accessed except by email. I think it would do them the world of good to employ someone to be on hand to answer phone calls & be public facing.

Update July 21:
The bark around the base of the second cordyline I purchased in March has fallen off - quite a large area - the wood underneath is very spongy, I do not have much hope of it recovering. Apparently this is caused by extreme cold - I bought the cordyline at the end of March, planted near the coast in the SE where we have had no frost so must have been damaged before despatch.

I have now emailed and phoned the company, sent photos etc but am getting no response. So I bought two trees, one returned as it was damaged - bark fallen off second within a couple of months - two cordylines not fit for purpose and nearly £500 down.

Are you even in business . I have emailed and telephoned. No one gets back to me. I placed an order in January and nothing has arrived, no one will take my calls . It’s a disgrace!
