I can honestly recommend this course as I had never done photography before I started. The course doesn't tell you what to do with step by step instructions. It makes you think, it makes you consider and it makes you act. They give you background, lots of pertinent information and then asks you to get out there and work with what they have given you. I'm nearly half way through and really pleased with my progress in both the theory and practical sides of photography.

So far I am very happy indeed to have chosen The Photography Institute to do a course with. The mentorship is excellent, the course work thorough and suits my learning style. The cost of the course is very good value indeed. I am learning a lot and being challenged which is exactly what I was looking for.

This is a great course. The tutors are very responsive and have given me great advice. This course has given me the tools to be the best photographer I can be. I would highly recommend this course!

I have enjoyed doing the activities at the end of the modules! I do sometimes find it difficult to decipher what is expected.

I have just completed The Photography Institute’s Diploma course, of 1 years study and can highly recommend. As a 58 year old looking for a career change, I found the course to be in depth, my tutor Steven Vote was patient & encouraging, replied promptly to my many questions, his advise and professional knowledge priceless. I experienced many overwhelming moments however I found once I stepped back for a moment, slowed down and reread, I was able to grasp the knowledge contained in the modules. It is true that regular camera practice will help you progress through the course and as a photographer. I had tremendous fun studying the PI Diploma course, my skills as a photographer have grown beyond what I thought possible. So much so I am proud to say, I have begun to take professional photography bookings & commissions. The PI Diploma course will stretch you, challenge and enhance your photography practise. I highly recommend the PI and their Diploma course. I’m glad I enrolled and grateful to my tutor Steven Vote for his encouragement.

I'm learning so many things from about my camera and photography that I never knew before! My photography has developed so much and I'm loving all the information that I'm learning! My love for photography has only deepened since starting the course and I'm getting more and more confident with my photography and more willing to share it with others!

I loved this on-line course. It covered everything. Feedback from the Tutors was so beneficial and concise. Like every great course, you MUST put the work in and not be afraid to ask questions. Yep, loved it.

Overall a good comprehensive course. As a slight criticism - I feel it is a bit theory heavy and not enough practical exercises.

I thought I already know what photography is all about when I decided to enroll to a Professional Photography Course. offered by The Photography Institute (Philippines), but it was only then that I was introduced to the real depth of what photography is really all about. The course takes you to a tour of where image artistry really began, immerse you into a whole new & different photography course that teaches the importance of truly knowing the craft. Pi had industry-proven teachers who has so much professional photography knowledge and experience that they can truly mold a novice into realizing what niche you may want to enter in the field of photography. They have the mentors who are masters in photography and they offer an excellent course syllabus with great student support as well.

I enrolled on a course with TPI in 2022. Due to a death in the family (after a prolonged illness ) my course time ran out. An email to TPI explaining my circumstances resulted in TPI allowing me extra time to finish the course. Due to grieving process I wasn't able to complete the course but the fact that TPI offered me more time to finish is highly commendable.

I think for someone, like myself, who loves taking photos and art and want to go further with photography should use this, because I didn't really know in depth what to do, but ever since I begun with the studying and practicing, I really can say that I improved and know alot more.

I am now halfway through the online Certificate Course and am thoroughly enjoying it. I had some knowledge and experience with still photography prior to this course, but I have learned much more about the various aspects of creating a professional quality image. And I really like the philosophy behind the course which is very practical.

While the course has some quite technical aspects to it, the focus is on art being made in the mind and by the photographer not the equipment. This really resonates with me.

Finally, the fact that it’s online means I can proceed at my own pace, and my tutor is incredibly responsive and prompt in responding to my messages and in providing gradings and feedback on my assignments.

A great course if you're looking to learn more about photography. It's taught me a lot and helped me to put what I know into practise.

After suffering a life threatening event I found that it was not just recovering from the physical event but also the mental affects. I felt one morning that if I didn't occupy myself I was going to head into a very serious mental problem, I had done some wildlife photography in the past so I researched online photography courses, found the Photography Institute and signed up immediately. It was the best thing I have done in many years. I have had so much fun and enjoyment doing this course it is unbelievable. I have learnt more about my camera in the few months I have been doing the course than I had in the previous 5 years that I had the camera. George Seper has been supportive and given me direction. Thank you one and all at The Photography Institute.

I have enjoyed the course so far and always look forward to the feedback from my tutor after submitting assignments.
I only wish that when I started the course and asked for advice on buying a computer to do so- that they would highlight that while 8gb ram is “enough” to complete the course, that if we wish to take on “professional photography” that we should consider buying with that in mind- because even now, being half way through & completed the Advanced Wedding Photography Module my 8gb mac did not handle it, and i’m now having to re invest in a bigger computer.

I have been a photographer for many years, but I wanted to go back and review my skills in a structured manner and learn additional technical skills that would take me to the next level. I found the course content at PI to fit my needs, and I signed up. I have completed 5 modules – almost halfway through, and I have not been disappointed. This course provides a technical overview of photography written by a seasoned photographer with decades of experience and the course material is relatively current. Whilst there is a strong emphasis on digital photography, the author compares and contrasts his experiences with film photography, which is still very much alive in the community. We are each assigned a tutor, and mine is an acclaimed professional photographer who is highly approachable, and affable and offers both technical and practical advice often on the same day. The twelve modules take the student through the fundamentals of digital photography in manageable chapters, and it allows students to garner enough skills to seek additional knowledge either through PI’s advanced courses or by further independent study.

I’m currently on Module 5 of The Photography Institute course, and I’ve been impressed with the quality and depth of the content so far. The course is thoughtfully designed, blending both the technical and creative aspects of photography, which has helped me improve my understanding of metering, exposure, and artistic pre-visualization.

The flexibility to learn at my own pace is perfect for balancing the course with other commitments. The tutors provide helpful feedback and are always available to answer questions. I particularly appreciate how the course caters to photographers at various skill levels, making it accessible yet challenging.

Though I’m only partway through, I’m already seeing a noticeable improvement in my photography, and I’m excited to continue learning more in the upcoming modules!
