Efficient service.

Very good service, timely shipping, friendly customer service. I had a problem with the delivery of my order which was entirely the fault of the delivery company and The String Zone went above and beyond to help.

Placed an order AFTER 2PM Tuesday 21 January, chose to have it tracked with Royal Mail for next day service. Text read that orders placed AFTER 2PM will arrive the day after next, and I was totally expecting to receive the package on Thursday. After reading the reviews here, I thought "I'll give them a call before I place an order to see if I get an answer." Not only did I get an answer, but the person who answered was very nice and professional. Therefore, I placed my order. Despite placing the order after 2PM, I received my package the next day, expertly wrapped, and in amazing condition. Will gladly order from them again (and write another review because this company deserves to be rated much higher!).

Always excellent service from The String Zone over the many years I have been a customer. Recently I had a problem with a violin case purchased elsewhere and they succeeded in arranging a replacement case when a repair was not possible, going way above and beyond in helping out. Professional advice and competitive prices. I’m a picky professional and highly recommend them.

Bought a violin stand which arrived damaged. I emailed, as set out on their website, no response. I then tried the number on their website - instant hangups - and the number they give on PayPal, which doesn't work. Have raised a PayPal dispute - so glad I paid that way!
Update: if you manage to get through to them (which I did via the PayPal dispute) they're very nice and helpful, but they really need to sort out their phone lines and spam folder!

They sent the wrong replacement part for my shoulder rest. I can sort of see how they would have misunderstood the photo I sent but only if they were not looking closely enough. I phoned on 5th Jan and left a voicemail and did the same on the 7th. They have not phoned me back. This is poor customer service.

A pleasure to deal with. Answered the phone, took back the bow case I realised was wrong for me and sent the replacement promptly. A model for other online retailers.

We are luthiers and normally get our supplies from a distributor abroad however another Brexit benefit and it has been delayed .. We needed strings fast and received exactly what we needed within 24 hours of ordering. Fast / polite /quality service .

Considering the Christmas posts I was amazed - I ordered a replacement string for my cello yesterday and it arrived this morning ! So rare to get service like this at the moment!

I have bought a number of items from String Zone (a viola case, strings, peg paste, etc.) and the customer service is always excellent. They are also very easy to get hold of (by phone and email) in case you have questions - they are definitely not just a faceless internet shop! A great selection of string instrument accessories in good prices, too. I highly recommend them.

Bought some replacement foot tubes for my wolf shoulder rest. At £1.20 each they were the cheapest I could find online.

The website was easy to order from, I could pay by PayPal, and had a choice of delivery options. I chose the free option of course, and I received a confirmation email from them after placing the order. The tubes arrived a few days later, no problems, hassle free, just as expected.

Based on this, I would happily purchase from thestringzone.co.uk again.

Placed an order for strings online to find the the free posting on their website flips it to paid postage at the very last screen and charges me.
Contacting the stringzone today to be told there isn’t any issue with their website. I explained there must be a problem because I got charged.
Person on the phone who ever he is! Is it very helpful is it very polite. Asked for a refund and it’s their loss.

Sent me strings mixed up the there packets. One snapped because I put it in the wrong position and over tightened it. When I contacted them about the issue, they told me I was to blame and I lied about the strings being in the wrong packets. Had to replace the £78 string myself. They made me feel like a complete and utter fool.

I've ordered four things from Thestringzone (strings, chinrest, rosin, bow) and every time they have been delivered very speedily. They've got a great range of stock and it's easy to navigate round the website. There are plenty of user reviews of many of the items they stock.

When I wanted to try a bow on approval (brilliant feature) and spoke to people at the company, they were friendly and helpful. Bows arrived swiftly, very well packaged, and it was easy to arrange returns of the ones I didn't keep. A great site.
