Rachel was fantastic - super knowledgeable, very patient with all our questions and had so many handy local links and info.

We recently completed the village midwife course with Clara. The course was not only enjoyable with a really friendly atmosphere but left us feeling educated and confident about everything that is to come. Clara was so knowledgeable and personable and put everyone at ease as well as answering all questions very thoroughly. She was able to relate it to personal experience as well as experiences she has had during her career as a midwife. We also received follow-up emails after each session, including lots of helpful links and further information. We would highly recommend this class!

The antenatal course was brilliant with Lisa, so informative and discussed so many areas of preparing for birth, labour and post birth care. It was delivered in a manner that gave all options so you didn’t feel you were pushed into a specific way, just information providing to be informed. Also fab that it’s run by a midwife who is up to date with current guidelines and protocols for the nhs and what actually happens in hospital.
Baby care was also covered which was really helpful. The information provided post classes is fantastic to read at your own pace.
Can’t recommend Lisa highly enough and the small group meant it was informal and able to ask questions and be relaxed. Thank you :)

Friendly atmosphere, excellent value, would recommend to anyone! It is dense material that is priceless to know, especially from a midwife's and mother's perspective. It is delivered by interactive tasks and reading material, a good mix. It is also worth noting far cheaper than our local NCT course, though both are taught by qualified midwives. We are forever grateful we found this course, we feel so much less stressed about the events to come.

I have now done both the antenatal and postnatal courses with Sophie in hadleigh. Both courses have been invaluable. Sophie is a wealth of knowledge, so approachable and put the whole group at ease. I would highly recommend the course, Sophie is a standout leader and I benefitted hugely from these courses

The Village Midwife Postnatal Course was fantastic. It was just as I formative and supportive and Sophie's antenatal course. It was a safe and non-judgemental environment to talk about anything and everything. The speakers each week were really helpful and all helped ina. Relaxed and informal way. I would highly recommend this course to anyone postpartum. We looked forward to it each week and just wish it was longer! Thank you so much Sophie. A really well organised and thought-out course xx

We attended TVM antenatal course in Great Missenden with Sophie! We felt happy & confident after everything we learned. We were always very relaxed about how the birth would end up being but Sophie prepared us with advice and knowledge for every possible outcome. We also booked in for a 1-1 hypnobirthing session which was super helpful for us to talk through all our thoughts and emotions before the birth and feel like both our heads where in the right place to bring this baby into the world! When we had our baby girl, it wasn’t the way we had dreamed but it all worked out and we felt empowered with knowledge throughout!
I then attended the postnatal sessions after having her and that was a great space to talk about how we were all coping and generally having a lovely cup of tea and catch up with fellow mums!
I’ve now been to TVM HQ in wendover and it’s the more gorgeous welcoming space to chill out with baby and catch up with Sophie.
I can’t recommend TVM course/courses/groups and general help enough.
Having a baby wouldn’t have been this easy without it!

Clara helped to make us feel much more confident about what's to come in preparation for both labour/birth and new parenthood. The course materials are really extensive and after each class she followed up with lost more info too. Being midwife-led is so valuable as it's like you're getting insider knowledge. She also invited past couples back to share with us their first-hand experience which was really interesting to hear. Clara was so friendly and supportive, would definitely recommend this class!

She was so approachable and made the course interactive, fun and full of information.

I was so worried about finding a course that would be welcoming and not judgemental. I come with an enormous medical history. Aimee was nothing but kind, she listened and made everyone feel included and unique. I am so grateful that we found her.

Although still nervous I feel informed and excited for the months ahead.

Just finished the course and would definitely recommend it. Really well structured and delivered and the course materials are helpful and practical.
Rachel was brilliant and knowledgeable- answered any questions we had and tailored the course to the group really well.
Just the right mix of theory and practical exercises.
The WhatsApp group is a really good idea too.

We attended antenatal classes with Miriam. We found them really helpful and left feeling far more prepared. Miriam was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable - we felt comfortable asking questions throughout. My husband was particularly pleased with the biscuit selection! We appreciated the follow-up emails after each session, which included lots of helpful links and information. We have also had ongoing support from Miriam via WhatsApp. We would definitely recommend the The Village Midwife to anyone looking for a non-judgemental and evidence-based antenatal class. I'm heading into birth more confident than when I started and I've acquired knowledge to take forward into early parenthood. Aimee is a super knowledgeable and experienced midwife.

My wife and I had our antenatal and postnatal class with Kate in Taunton. Kate's knowledge of the subject is very deep and she has great enthusiasm for all things to do with birth. She helped us with our many questions and the content of the course was invaluable in helping us to prepare our birth plan. Moreover, we were well prepared for all of the different scenarios that can occur with a birth. I particularly recommend this course because Kate is a practicing midwife and has first hand experience.

We really enjoyed our ante natal classes with Miriam. Despite the group being small (3 couples in total), it meant that we felt more comfortable sharing our thoughts and worries in front of others. Miriam is very knowledgable and approachable; her experience shone through during each session. We both feel more confident (and excited) about meeting our little one and can’t thank Miriam enough for this. She has also offered support via WhatsApp now the group has finished which is appreciated. We would 100% recommend this course to others particularly as it’s midwifery led and that Miriam has current experiences of navigating the NHS maternity system. The biscuits she supplied were a bonus! :-) Thank you SO much TVM.

I did this course with Jenni and it was great. My husband and I felt so much more prepared afterwards and the handouts we came away with are really useful for refreshing our memories. It was good to have the perspective of a practicing midwife and Jenni explained things really well. I felt comfortable asking questions during the course and they were all answered well. I have already recommended the course to someone else

Amazing! We had the pleasure of guidance and support from Gemma across 4 antenatal classes at Chalfont, and it was well worth it. Gemma delivered honest, useful advice and workshop activities to keep everyone engaged - plus top notch biscuits. There was a WhatsApp ground for on-going support and to help build more localised networks among mummy’s and daddy’s. Gemma also put together weekly email content full of articles, videos and information on everything to do with the birth journey to reference at any time. Besides the fist class information that Gemma passed on, the most noticeable quality about her and the course is the passion and love she has for midwifery and you can really see she wants to enlighten everyone attending and support them at every hurdle because she really cares and 100% goes above and beyond. She is the Yoda of having a baby and we’d 100% recommend to anyone thinking about attending a class with Gemma.

First time parents we didn’t know what to expect, but so pleased that we went to Lisa‘s classes. It’s clear that Lisa has a range of knowledge and experience. She would also take the individual parents opinions into consideration when discussing options. Lisa’s support throughout the course, and since having our little one has been outstanding and I couldn’t recommend her enough.
