Both in our advertising and at the very start of the workshop we play a six minute introductory video that makes it clear this workshop is not just about meditation but also about the science behind it!

The reason is straightforward!

In our experience meditators who understand what is actually happening in their mind and body when they meditate experience far more profound and lasting results! 🧠

The science we share throughout the workshop is deliberately broken down into simple relatable concepts that anyone can apply to their life regardless of their background!

Although the word science is used we make it accessible and practical for every single person in the room! 🌊

This approach has resonated deeply with people across Australia and into Europe with tens of thousands of guests attending our workshops over more than a decade and continuing to do so every year! 💚

Your feedback about the balance between theory and practice is noted and appreciated!

I particularly appreciate that after attending the two day workshop in Sydney, you went home and independently researched the scientists, theories and principles I had discussed. The fact that your own research gave you greater confidence in what you had heard means a great deal to me.

And thank you for your constructive comments about the Quantum Physics section. I hear you. 😊 It is a complex subject, and your suggestion about timing, simplification and repetition is genuinely useful feedback.

What you shared about your experience during Michael’s breathing session is deeply personal, and I thank you for trusting us enough to share it. I am so pleased that the experience was meaningful for you and that you came away feeling a difference in yourself.

But the words that really stayed with me were these: **“I’m ridding myself of this baggage ONE DAY AT A TIME.”**

UNTHINKABLE was deliberately created to be different. I never wanted to build another four days of people simply sitting, listening and going home inspired. I wanted people to question, experience, participate and discover things about themselves that perhaps they had never considered before.

You recognised that difference, Teo, and I’m delighted that the experience has helped you look at your own limitations and begin dealing with them in a new way.

Noel, I smiled reading this because you wrote it when you were only halfway through UNTHINKABLE! 😊🙏

One of the things I have worked incredibly hard at over the years is taking subjects that can seem overwhelmingly complicated and explaining them in a way that ordinary people can understand, relate to and, most importantly, use.

The mind, body and emotions are extraordinary, but understanding them shouldn’t require a science degree.

Thank you also for recognising the team behind me. They put an enormous amount into creating the environment in which UNTHINKABLE happens, and I know they’ll appreciate your words.

There is one sentence in your review that, for me, says everything:

**“Thank you for helping me to help myself.”**

That is precisely what I want this work to do.

I remember you coming to speak with me on Day 3. You could have walked out. Instead, despite everything inside you telling you how difficult it was to speak about what you had carried, you found the courage to ask for help.

And that courage was yours, LeeAnne. Not mine.

I may have helped you understand the process and work through what was happening, but **you did the work**.

What makes me particularly happy is that you haven't walked away believing the work is finished. You recognise there is more you want to address, but now you have something you didn't have before: a process, an understanding, and tools you can continue using.

You arrived describing yourself as worn down, trapped, without joy and feeling insignificant.

Four days later you're telling us:

**“I feel alive. I feel powerful. I am no longer a prisoner of my past.”**

Those are your words. And they are extraordinary.

Never forget, LeeAnne, the woman who nearly walked out on Day 3 is the same woman who found the courage to stay.

Thank you for trusting me with something so personal. Thank you for trusting my beautiful team. But above everything else, thank you for eventually trusting **yourself**.

Whether expressed as 7 in 10 or more commonly 9 in 10, the core point remains the same — genetics alone do not account for most cases.
2️⃣ The intention of sharing this perspective, including references to thinkers such as Dr Gabor Maté, is not to present a definitive medical conclusion, but to encourage broader awareness and discussion around the many factors that may influence health, including lifestyle, environment, and stress.
3️⃣ Ray’s work is not presented as medical advice or diagnosis, and this is clearly stated in our disclaimers. 1️⃣ We want to address the moment you’ve described. At no point is any participant asked to share personal experiences without clear consent, from that participant. During the workshop, Ray invites a volunteer from the audience, and only those who willingly and openly choose to participate are engaged in any discussion with Ray. If Ray does not receive their permission, then no discussions take place. Participation is always optional.

2️⃣ In the specific moment you are referring to, the participant had clearly volunteered to speak and was comfortable continuing the conversation. From our perspective, and from the participant’s own feedback, the experience was supportive and meaningful. The individual (Ian) remained at the end of the workshop with his sister and expressed genuine gratitude for the process, sharing that it helped him identify and move through long-held emotional challenges he had been carrying for many years. He was genuinely grateful and supportive.

3️⃣ The intention of this part of the workshop is to demonstrate, in a real and human way, how emotional patterns can be explored and understood, alongside meditation. It is always approached with care, respect, and an emphasis on personal choice and autonomy.

4️⃣ For clarity, the workshop is designed to go beyond surface level meditation and into understanding and working with deeper emotional patterns. These demonstrations form part of that learning, and are always conducted with voluntary participation and mindful facilitation.

5️⃣ The integration of meditation with long-held emotional patterns is a core part of the workshop’s intention. It is designed to help participants understand how meditation can support them in working through deeper emotional challenges. 1️⃣ We want to respond clearly to your statement that the workshop “preys on broken people.” We do not accept that characterisation at all. This work is designed to support individuals in building awareness, understanding emotional patterns, and learning practical self-regulation tools. Attendees are never positioned as “broken,” and the environment is structured to be respectful, educational, and empowering. We take that responsibility very seriously. (Ray would never refer to anyone in the audience as “broken”, so anyone reading this who has attended our workshops, "you are not broken" in spite of Lesley’s miss characterisation of you).
2️⃣ In relation to meditation, the advertising for this workshop clearly explains that this is not a workshop only about meditation. It is a workshop about the science behind meditation. This is important, because Ray teaches people what is happening neurologically and biologically in the body, so they can understand the process and apply it effectively in their daily lives. This is also reinforced at the beginning of the workshop in a video we play for the audience, you included, that laid out the workshop before it started.
3️⃣ The content is intentionally educational. Concepts are explained in different ways to support understanding and integration across a wide range of attendees. What may feel repetitive to one person is often what allows another to fully grasp and apply the material. That’s why this workshop mis now into its second decade with tens of thousands having attended.
4️⃣ Regarding your comment about “upselling,” there is a short segment at the end of the workshop where attendees are offered the option to go deeper into the work. This is entirely optional. Ray is deeply passionate about the work he teaches and equally passionate about the programs he has developed for those who wish to continue.
For clarity, the course you are referring to is the Solfeggio Frequency and Energy Center Meditation Course. This is a comprehensive program developed from decades of study and application. Importantly, this is presented at the very end of the workshop so that attendees can fully experience the content without any obligation to continue further, at all, if they so choose.

Anyone who does not wish to explore additional programs is free to leave at that point. The course is simply offered as an opportunity for those who want to go deeper. Where other organisations offer highly expensive courses, we have always acted with generosity and in an authentic way offering our flagship course at $387. It is structured to be a highly accessible and generous offering relative to the depth of content and ongoing support provided. It includes a full video training series, lifetime access with no ongoing fees, guided solfeggio meditations produced with a professional music team, a detailed manual, access to a consultant for support, with no ongoing fees, and ongoing live training every six weeks for life with no ongoing fees where students can integrate and build relationships with a global community of participants. This course is offered to allow as many as possible learn these concepts.

You began your comment by stating this was “false advertising as a meditation mindset workshop,” so it’s important to address that clearly.

The workshop runs for approximately ten hours across the two days. During that time we present a large body of content around meditation, emotional regulation, and the science supporting these practices.

This includes research showing how meditation can influence the nervous system, stress responses, cardiovascular health, and overall wellbeing. This information is clearly displayed on via multiple slides on both days, and much of it before we guide participants through meaningful meditation experiences during the event.

The advert for the workshop is very clear "this is not just a meditation workshop, it is also about the science behind the power of meditation", and that is why we deliver so much important and impacting evidence at the workshop.

You mentioned the workshop starting late. On those particular days we had an unusually large number of people arriving right at the start time, which created a line outside the room.

Because the opening segment sets the framework for the entire two days, we made the decision to briefly hold the start so that people already seated and those still entering the room could experience the beginning together. This is very important for all participants, and we agree with you that it is not ideal, but we did make that decision.

You also described the workshop as a “sales pitch.” The workshop itself runs for ten hours, and at the end of each day we spend approximately thirty minutes explaining further programs and workshops for those who wish to explore our work more deeply. This is intentionally placed at the end of the day so that anyone who simply wishes to attend the workshop content, can leave at that point with no obligation to stay, and head home. There is no obligation to stay, and this is clearly mentioned before we explain other workshops, which many people stay to hear about.

You mentioned the testimonials. Throughout the event we do present testimonials and expert commentary to help people understand the real world impact meditation can have on their lives, their health, their self-wroth and their relationships. Testimonails help the audience listen to real people, who had their own problems and issues, and used this form of meditation to overcome thier own difficulties, so the testimonials are by real people openly sharing thier tramiua stories with you, to encourage you to make meditation a daily practice.

One of the pieces shared is a video from a respected psychiatric lecturer who teaches psychiatry internationally and who describes this work we teach at this workshop as “nothing short of astounding.”
So a genuine question for you, Janice. Did you miss that section of the workshop, or the scientific material presented throughout the day? Because many people in the room clearly saw and engaged with that information.

For many years now tens of thousands of people have attended these workshops across different continents and have spoken very highly about the experience and what they learned from it, not to mention the hundreds of thousands of followers who support Rays teachings on Facebook.

We are sorry that this particular experience did not land the same way for you as it has done for so many, but we stand by the integrity and intention of the workshop, its delivery and how we present it.
