therapist was great, billing not so much

My therapist was great. I validated that she was covered by my insurance prior to the appointments and Thriveworkds was filing. 15 months after my appointments I received a bill for over $700 that they would have just charged to my account if my credit card hadn't expired. Because of the delay in billing me, it's too late to file the insurance claims now, and Thriveworks expects me to pay the full cash price. I never would have schedule the appointments under these circumstances.

Efficient service

I am enjoying my experience with making my appointments. The representatives are courteous and easy to talk to and they're very efficient. The email alerts are timely and accurate, when I pay my bill it is efficient and safe and I feel comfortable and protected while using the service.

Very terrible experience with billing

Very terrible experience with billing. Took out an unauthorized payment of over $1,000 from my account. Tried calling to work out a payment plan, or have a refund of some sort. Did not help at all.

Billing is not reliable

I am so happy I left Thriveworks when I did. There is some serious problems within billing. I left them last year when I got one bill for 5 different counsel settings. There were no charges on my account and no one had said anything about a balance that was due untill after months later that one bill showed up in my email for 5 different occasions. No one could explain why these charges came about because all the other charges were covered with insurance.
Anyway, I went ahead and paid with my credit card and decided to leave Thriveworks because of this.
Now, a year later I just received the same bill in my email telling me that it wasn't paid. I went to the BBB with this because I feel I need this on record showing my credit card payment for this bill. I would never recommend this company to anyone. Please make sure you keep a record of your payments if you're using this company.

A Big disappointment


My initial experience with this company has been quite disappointing. During my therapy sessions, there are prolonged moments of silence that make me feel as though I’m the only one contributing to the conversation. While I appreciate the opportunity to express my feelings, I expected more engagement and feedback from my therapist.

There are times when I would really appreciate her input or questions to guide our discussion. After one session, she mentioned she would reach out to schedule the next appointment, but it’s now been almost two weeks without any follow-up.

Additionally, I received a bill for $400, of which my insurance covered $200. I still feel that even $200 is excessive, especially considering that I did most of the talking without receiving any feedback or advice on what I shared.

Furthermore, I had no choice but to pay this amount because I was required to provide my credit card information upfront. I called to express my concerns, but I have yet to hear back from them. They indicated they would investigate the charge, as I was never informed about the session cost beforehand or that my card would be charged without my consent notify me.
