I can't speak highly enough of this company. The entire experience, from the moment I walked in, was fantastic. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, also taking the time to address my questions throughout the process. Our new door and windows have made a massive difference to our home and the end result is just beautiful.

My parents used Timber Windows to replace all of the sash windows in their farmhouse about 10 years ago and they've always been delighted with them. We recently used them to replace all of our windows and doors in our barn conversion. From start to finish we've been so pleased with the service. The windows are better than anything else we saw when getting quotations in and they look as good as they did in the showroom. Our new windows and doors are beautiful and have transformed the look and feel of the house! I would recommend them at the drop of a hat.

Quality lasting products that add character to the house, we are so pleased with the finish, incredibly pleased with Jack the installer who offered us options, the door furniture is stunning, we are so pleased that we will not have to reinvest in a new door for many many years to come.

Steve and Paul worked tirelessly and were thoroughly professional in their finishing. A tremendous couple of workers who were extrememly tidy too. Tim and Yvonne helped us thoughhout the whole process and despite the fact that we made mistakes, they were always there to help solve them. They made no fuss about making changes due to our errors and did so without fuss or ado. A thoroughly easy installation and the end product is beautifaul. Many thanks to you all at Timber Windows Colchester.

The rep from the Reigate showroom failed to provide us with a quote. I went back to the shop to remind him but although he was apologetic we still have not received any info. Considering the other reviews it feels like we have had a lucky escape!

I have recently had a Timber Windows Front Door with a Dormakaba townhouse lock installed.
The Dormakaba Townhouse lock system has caused endless problems & frankly had I known about the following issues would never have chosen this product.

Firstly, the lock was faulty & this was evident on the day of installation. The fitter told me it would “get easier” which was far from the case resulting in me almost being locked out of my house on a Sunday evening. I had to use such extreme force to turn the key that I hurt 2 fingers, broke a nail too far down & hurt my wrist.
I was unable to use my front door for 24 days after installation as it took 24 days before a new lock was available & replaced. What would have happened had I lived in a flat??
The next hurdle has been getting 2 extra keys cut. I was unaware that if I took the Security Card to a local locksmith I would not be able to have a key cut!!! This is INSANE!!! I see no reason why there needs to be this level of security. I don’t live in a prison or keep classified information in my home!!!
I had to contact Dormakaba who after transferring me to numerous different extensions advised me I had to contact Guardian Security who are based in Exeter!!! I live in Kent!!!!!!!
I rang Guardian Security & spoke to someone who was as effective as a snowball in a heatwave. Thoroughly unhelpful. Told me to order a new key via the website or by email. I tried the web site & found it wasn’t possible to order any keys. I had to ring back & was given an email address. Additionally, it has now cost £46.50 for 2 keys to be cut!!!
This has to be the most ridiculous, unhelpful & frankly insane lock system to have installed in a residential home.

Why have Timber Windows chosen these locks?? What would happen if I got locked out & needed a locksmith?? What would happen if this occurred outside normal working hours??

This entire lock system is not appropriate for a normal house. It has been a nightmare and is not fit for purpose.
I certainly would never buy any more products from Timber Windows

Thank you to James, Alex & Michael for the excellent work they have carried out and how polite, friendly and helpful they were explaining as they went along the work being done, also how clean and tidy they left everything.

We are so pleased with the quality and end result which has exceeded our expectations and we are know looking forward to having the windows done.

Looking at your amazing finished projects from Timber Windows, I am left feeling even more disappointed with the way we have been treated by Timber Windows. Our experience is far from this, we are now on our 2nd door to replace a tired but in need of replacement timber door. The 1st door was damaged in situ whilst being fitted and therefore needed replacing, after over 14 weeks the 2nd door arrived, this is now smaller with ‘trim’. Not what we want or agreed to. You would think as a reputable company we would be in conversation as to how to resolve this on going issue, but Timber Windows of Maidstone are totally unprofessional and have not been in contact at all. We are desperate to get this whole sorry mess sorted.

We have had our windows installed for over 18 months now and have had endless issues with the wood expanding and shrinking (which I know is expected due to the product). My main upset is the fact that we could not lock our doors at one point so had to call the company. This was ignored for a week so I had to call again!
There are adverts saying how the wood does not rot or warp. Well now our French doors have all warped. We now have to wait 2 months for someone to look at this. I am now writing this review due to it being windy last night and having to hear howls of wind and feeling the wind through the gaps. Not exactly thermally efficient either!

Further to your reply, I am not sure why you say it has been rectified as it has not - it is just still ongoing. Myself and my husband could still feel drafts in the bottom half sections of the doors so will be calling again to explain this tomorrow.

Very disappointing service. Not the professional product or customer care we expected from an ‘award winning’ company. We were told installation would be completed to a satisfactory and professional level in 1 day. 3 weeks later and still not complete. The ‘expert installers’ hacked out a chunk of the trim, to make it fit, and the doors had multiple scratches. The initial work was reviewed by their colleague who felt the damage was so extensive, Timber Windows have to hire another company to fix it. Still no word on when this will be fixed. We have been flexible, but Timber Windows’ have shown no regard for our time and satisfaction, which has made this a very frustrating process. We have given plenty of opportunities, but we have reached the end of our tether.

Paid for whole house to have very expensive wooden windows that according to the sales brochure wouldn’t warp. Wooden windowsill split after 8 years into 3 separate parts of wood. When I contacted them they refused to replace despite a 10 year guarantee as apparently this was due to my lack of maintenance? But they would send a pot of paint as compensation (which by the way they never did)
