I’d like to share some details about my experience as a Year 12 student, starting to plan my medicine application. Initially, everything was going well with Tom and Miriam, and I was really satisfied and happy with the tutoring arrangement we had agreed upon.

However, at one point they decided to introduce a third-party tutor without prior discussion. This was unexpected, as the original agreement was that Tom and Miriam would be solely responsible for my lessons. When my mother and I raised this concern, they withdrew the proposal—but shortly afterward, communication stopped entirely. We were told they were “too busy with rotation practice,” and they did not continue the tutoring.

To be clear, the quality of the lessons themselves was not the issue. The main concern was the lack of professionalism in how the situation was handled. Ending communication abruptly—particularly during an important and stressful period for a Year 12 student—was disappointing and disruptive.

Based on this experience, I would not recommend their tutoring services at all, and would be careful when hiring this service.

Tom and Miriam really know the university application process inside out both from an Oxbridge perspective and a wider UK perspective. My daughter had no medical background (as in parents or siblings doctors)
And with their support got offers from three out of her choices. They are polite, supportive and knowledgeable, I couldn’t recommend them highly enough.

Tom and Miriam are fantastic trainers for the UK med school application process. Their pay as you go model allows flexibility and tailored training for students. Their up-to-date knowledge and insights are definite assets. They are friendly and patient as well. Highly recommend!

They are both incredibly patient, easy to work with, and are willing to work at the pace that I find useful - and to focus on areas of improvement especially. Very professional and sessions and resources are well organised and planned. All explanations are very clear and support is of exceptionally high quality. With their help I was able to greatly improve my UCAT and was very well supported through the University application process, receiving several offers. Would recommend.

Miriam has been a wonderful tutor in preparing my daughter for her UCAT exam. While the tutoring was an investment, it was absolutely worth it for the confidence and support it gave her. She is very independent and motivated with her studies, but Miriam added real value with brilliant top tips, expert knowledge, and clear answers to questions that I certainly couldn’t have provided myself.

Miriam was kind, encouraging, and at the same time constructively challenging, which was exactly what my daughter needed. Communication with both of us was excellent, and the three 1.5-hour sessions we booked worked perfectly for us.My daughter achieved an excellent score.

Unbelievable support from their team, for UCAT interviews and the whole application process. They have so many resources and are so passionate about every step, it’s contagious and makes the daunting experience so much more positive and encouraging. Would recommend to everyone!
