From the very start of our experience Tolhurst Fsher wete fantastic. Dan Fielding made sure that everything was in place before the exchange of contracts. He was able to clearly explain the jargon that can be used when buying a property. We would happily recommend Tolhurst Fisher and Dan to anyone that needs a property solicitor.

Our experience of Tolhurst Fisher was really excellent. Our situation was a relatively unusual one, in that the chain fell down on an initial purchase we were making and - with our mortgage offer three weeks from expiry - we found a new house which we wanted to use it for. With the mortgage rates rising to an unaffordable level after the expiry date, we really needed the legal element to be as smooth as possible.

As anyone who has bought a home can testify, three weeks is an almost impossibly tight turn around for the conveyancing end of things. Luckily we had picked the right solicitor. Tolhurst Fisher's Dan Fielding-Smith, who we spoke to regularly over the next few weeks, handled the case the the utmost professionalism and skill. He used his acumen in the field and deep awareness of the process to turn around the sale at record speed - keeping us in the loop at all times, whilst managing our expectations in a responsible way.

Having a firm hand on the tiller like this made all the difference in steering the process through. Buying a house is stressful at the best of times, but we would recommend Dan Fielding-Smith and Tolhurst Fisher to anyone who is about to embark upon the process.

In an extremely challenging time going through divorce and house sale proceedings, it was made allot easier by Tolhurst Fisher. Amy Hadley was efficient, clear, and very knowledgeable when dealing with the legal side of the divorce, and Charles Latham is always a pleasure to deal with for house conveyancing. Several of the wider team were instructed in the chain also so that speaks volumes. Couldn’t recommend them enough.

We were selling our property and it started out really well. We had good communication and no problems at all. On the date of leaving the property we had email trail confirming with Tolhurst we did not have to leave the property on the date till 5pm. I got a call from the estate agents saying they had agreed with our solicitor we had to be out by 12pm which was not possible. We panicked and managed to agree with the estate agents 2pm which was enough time as we were moving to two separate properties. I emailed and tried to ring Tolhurst on the day which the receptionist said our solicitor would call me back (he never did) and the email was never answered. Luckily everything was sorted in the end but I did not appreciate being ignored by this company. The icing on the cake is receiving two emails advising to leave good feedback to win a prize yet you never answered my email regarding something so important?

I would highly recommend Dan Fielding-Smith to anyone wishing to buy or sell a property. Dan looked after both the sale of my flat and the purchase of my new one. Leases, leases etc!! Dan impressed as being extremely diligent as I received updates extremely early in the morning and late at night!! The most impressive thing about Dan is the speed that he responded to my emails/questions even when he was very obviously busy. Should I purchase or sell another property I will definitely work with Dan again.

This is just great I came here to speak about Dan and I can see below others have experienced the professionalism, meticulousness and pleasure of having Dan work on their behalf. He is definitely a solicitor confondent in his ability. Never gave any false promises or forecasts. Very quick and prompt when being contacted. Extremely humble individual , who we were fortunate to have , his reputation preceded him and he exceeded it. Demonstrating a good balance of communication , also if I add a very good supportive role from Sally , who showed that she is indeed a colleague of Dan’s as we had the pleasure watching the professionalism seamlessly flow through the team.
