The engineer was really good and explained things very well

Quick repair -polite and helpful

Overpriced quote, and engineer didn't turn up to do the repair. Had to get another company to do the job

I rang their office received a quote the engineer came shortly after and repaired the garage door to our satisfaction.

Had a so called engineer out on Monday what a joke! Not interested in repairing the door at all didn't have a clue what was wrong! All he was interested was selling me a new door for over £2,500 + already did my costings on new parts and talks to you like your stupid been an engineer for over 40yrs ! Only called them out because my company was busy ! I would like to bring this to your attention because there ripping people off ! Didn't even get a receipt for the £20 call out! I repaired the door myself & cost me £65 in parts doesn't that tell you something about this company! Never again!!!!

Was quoted £167 for my garage door needed 2 new brackets, guy quoted us £167 but when job was done the price went up to just under £200! because he forgot to add the VAT which is against the law, the price quoted before should be the price we paid, my husband was with them so I didnt know bit had I then I definitely wouldn't of paid the extra. Going to pursue this as its against the law, the price u get quoted is the price you pay!!!

Toms garage doors were fantastic in sorting out my parents door which wouldn’t lock. We had called several people before from checkatrade where people either fobbed us off or didnt attend following a booking. I booked Tom garage doors to attend on the same day and within half an hour I received a courtesy call that someone would be here within the hour and they did! Door was fixed in no time. Superb service and will definitely use them again should the door break!

Booked online for non working electric garage door with fob not working. Technician arrived assessed and connected me to a call centre that quoted 675 pounds to get it working, when I attempted to get independent quote and hang up, they reduced quote stepwise to 450 to get it working again, unethical pressure selling practices, no written itemised quotes whatsoever. Technician worked for 30 minutes, accessed garage and fitted emergency release, but could not get door working again, tole me to get electrician, collected full quote and left. Company not responding to email or messages. Deal with them at your own risk seems to be expensive and unethical operator.

The person that came to mend my garage door did an excellent job. I would highly recommend this company.

I would say Door Excellent. Engineers/ Door fitters excellent.
Officer OK when I could get an answer.
Tried email. Several occasions. Response times to be honest not great.
BUT we got there on the end.
A couple of visits for teething problems.
All good now

The engineer was very efficient, my garage door was repaired quickly.

The technician arrived quickly and on time. It must have taken a total of 15minutes to replace the broken cable. The cable probably cost less than £50 and I was charged over £300 which I felt exploited my situation as my garage door was stuck open and couldn’t be left overnight with a garage full of stuff. I think this industry needs regulating.

Refused work based on excessive quote.
Initial quote to replace 2 cables £356.
Refused. Then offered £240. Refused.
Finally offered £200. Not a chance.
If offered £200 initially may well have taken - very pleased not to have given them my money.
Job done by local firm, admittedly a few days later but for half the initial Toms quote.
Rapid and friendly service - ridiculous price.

Far too expensive 150 pound part cost 720 pounds to fit and it was the sockets at fault not the box so still had to find electrican to rectify the problem complete rip off

The engineer was on time, assessed the situation thoroughly and was able to remedy the problem immediately.

Very efficient. Work completed quickly and expertly. Cant fault the service at all.

Felt it was a hefty price for what turned out to be a 15 minute job. The garage door is working fine now so I can't complain about the outcome.
