⭐⭐⭐☆☆ (Mixed experience — sharing for transparency)

I chose Top Plastic Surgeons Mexico after researching medical tourism options. My overall experience was mixed, and I believe it’s important to share this for transparency.

The positive:
My surgeon, Dr. Mauricio Alejandro García López, was caring, attentive, and professional. He listened to my concerns, explained things clearly, and speaks very good English. From a surgical and bedside-manner perspective, I felt comfortable with him.
However, I am still early in recovery, so the final surgical results are not yet clear. For this reason, my evaluation of the surgical outcome is neutral for now and may be updated later.

Major concerns:
1. Lack of transparency before arrival
Before coming to Mexico, I communicated with the online coordinator and was told in writing that a different surgeon would be performing my surgery. I never met that surgeon at all. While I ended up liking Dr. Mauricio, I strongly feel the clinic should clearly disclose in advance who will actually be performing the procedure.
2. Pressure tactics regarding the recovery house
I was strongly pressured by the recovery house coordinators to stay at their facility instead of the hotel that was already included in my medical package.
I was told that if I chose the hotel, I would not receive timely help or proper support. This felt unnecessary and fear-based.

I tried the recovery house for one night and had a poor experience (no water pressure, very uncomfortable bed that caused back pain), plus an additional cost of $60 per night. I chose to return to the hotel, which was far more suitable for my recovery.
3. Medication overcharge and lack of response
After my consultation, a coordinator offered to purchase my prescribed medications and charged me $90 upfront, before checking pharmacy pricing.
Later, I verified at a local pharmacy that the same medications would have cost less than half that amount.

When I politely requested an itemized receipt or explanation, I received no response at all. Being charged cash without transparency and then ignored is very concerning.

Final thoughts:
• The surgeon himself was professional and caring.
• The coordination, billing transparency, and recovery-house management need serious improvement.

I am sharing this experience to help future patients make informed decisions and to encourage better transparency and professionalism.

Je je recommande pas! J'ai encore du gras sur le ventre et le dos et pour le prix que ca couter aller ailleurs!

Terrible experience, my results were uneven, and when I consistently messaged, no options for revision were given. AWFUL. Also, now I have Bibasilar Atelectasis in my lungs, and my lung specialist said it's due to my last surgery (which was with Top Plastic Surgeons of Mexico City). You should be ashamed of yourselves!

From my initial consultation through each post op visit, my experience has been incredible. After years of research and consultations with other surgeons, I am grateful that my journey led me to this office. Dr. Juan was the only surgeon to actually ask me what end results I was looking for. he took the time to explain the entire procedure and made sure that every question I had was answered; I was never rushed. Not only does he have the best bedside manner, he genuinely cares about my recovery. On top of an amazing surgeon, every individual at treated me as a friend, not a job or transaction. I cannot say thank you enough to everyone. I’m beyond grateful to see my results continue to improve, I love them already.

My main issue before surgery was the back view of my butt. The side view always looked pretty decent, but the back view looked kind of square and flat. I am definitely happy with my results and I hope it stays this way.

I wanted this bc I had 3 kids and before pregnancy I had a pretty good looking body. Dr. Juan Bernardo Baltazar Rendon did a wonderful job on my butt and made my boobs the right size. I chose him because he is from Top Plastic Surgeons Mexico.I look great in pants and way more curvier hips also. He told me I needed a breast lift but at the time I wasn’t ready for that type of scarring, now I am planning a second surgery with him for another BBL and a breast lift. I got 550 silicone high profiles, and I think I have 1,000 cc of fat in each cheek. IT HURT, I won’t lie, but well worth it! I’m going back to him, Not bc he didn’t do a good job with BBL the first time, but bc I never had ps before this and I was insecure ab the level of fake-ness with my appearance (I’m a nurse -would it affect my career or my kids?), I told him not to make me look crazy fake, and then after surgery I got butt greed lol, so now I want more curves. I love my hips, I love feeling like I have curves. I would definitely do it again and I am. I was considering butt implants but BBL is right for me, they’re too risky. I felt safe on his table, under his knife, and that matters the most girls- is it a doctor you would trust with your life? I trust this one with my life and my body. Also, there is asymmetry of my breast- they were uneven before implants, I’m sure after my lift they will look better. Hope this helps you guys!
