We booked a city tour of Calcutta and our guide was Debashree who was very knowledgeable and experienced. We were a group of 9 and Debashree covered all the highlights of the city. She didn’t rush us was very patient. I highly recommend booking city tours with Tour HQ

I’d say our experience was mostly ok. We hired a driver in Sri Lanka for around 5 days.

Pros: He was always punctual even for days we had a 5am start.

Cons: we asked for an English speaking driver as we were keen to experience more of the local places rather than just the tourist highlights. However his English wasn’t great and we could hardly communicate. I feel like we missed out a bit compared to our previous driver in SL. I realise this makes us sound a bit snooty but we paid a fair bit for this and don’t think we got full value.
He also drove us around in a min van which was good for space but it was very very old, everything was falling apart and rattling. The air con was either fully on cold or off. And the driver unfortunately had a constant sniff which seemed like a tic every 20 second. For the 3-5 hour drives this was challenging to relax.

I booked a one day tour of La Paz, Bolivia, with Marisol. She was kind, patient, and saw after me carefully. She took me to see the things I said I was specifically interested in - and not the just the things on the usual tourist circuit. She showed me other things she thought I would be interested in as well, and offered me a long and really detailed look at La Paz and El Alto. I was really happy with the help she gave me and would trust her to listen carefully and help others in the same way. I would be happy to work with her again!!
