Great locations, numerous stops
We had an overall great time! The bus stopped at 5 locations to see Mt Fuji, temples, gardens and lunch. Would recommend comfortable shoes for walking and lots of steps, but every climb or walk was worth the view. This was definitely a tour for great photos, not for history lessons or cultural knowledge.

Enjoyed the day tour to Mount Fuji and Lake Kawaguchiko
Good stops to get some great views of Mount Fuji and surroundings. We greatly enjoyed the hike up the Arakurayama shrine and Chureito pagoda. Lake Kawaguchiko views and the garden was also excellent. The weather was not favorable at the Mt. Fuji station 5 stop but we enjoyed looking around and being there. The guide, Makoto was very helpful in pointing us to the right places for the views and our choice of food.

Tour guide from hell
If you want to book a tour and be looked after this is not the tour for you. We should have just booked our own guides. Tourist Japan is an umbrella company that farms out the tours to other tourist companies. They do not look after you at all. They book hotels miles away from meeting points and make you travel hours to meet your guides - usually early in the morning and 2 hours away.

Tourist Japan is not just an umbrella company, we operate entire tour packages for thousands of travelers each year in Japan. We operate the majority of the tours within our packages ourselves, with our team of hand-picked tour guides who are local experts and stand by our company training, DNA, and guidelines. We are constantly working to improve the prominence of our brand within these tours, and your feedback is important for us to reflect that it is clearly not clear enough in all cases. That said, we do work with other partner suppliers for certain activities, mostly specialized activities such as tea workshops, sumo viewings, and so on, who we believe are able to provide our guests with the highest possible experience.
I have also checked into the hotel included in your package. The hotel is located in Central Kyoto, a few minutes from the tour starting points in your trip. The third day in your package included a tour of Osaka starting from Kyoto, and if you had preferred to stay instead in Osaka, and start the tour from there, we could have arranged that, however, usually switching hotels for one night is not something we advise, as you would have had to make the same trip to Osaka either way. We are transparent about the hotels and accommodation location at the time of booking, and should the selected hotel not be convenient, we allow our guests to choose other hotels from our hand-picked and verified selection when booking on our website or via our team.
Our customer service team is available 7 days a week to ensure all our guests are well looked after from the moment of booking throughout the trip. We really encourage guests to take advantage of this and genuinely appreciate being informed in real time of any disappointments or concerns, so we have the opportunity to be able to exceed expectations and make positive travel memories come true.
