The estate, grounds, cafe, shops, quality, service, everything was faultless. Such a friendly team of people working at Cowdray, particularly in the cafe and gift shops. The treehouse setting is beautiful and interior soft furnishings and facilities all well crafted for a truly relaxing retreat. Thank you for having us.

An incredible experience! Accommodation was faultless, everything of the upmost quality, creating the ultimate environment to relax and wind down in. Taking a bath outside with a glass of wine whilst looking at the stars is something I will never forget. Slightly closer to the main road than I would have liked but overall this did not detract and we will definitely return in the future!

We had the most glorious stay at the treehouse (Buzzard). The setting is wonderful and the treehouse itself beautifully designed and thought through. The balcony area with its outside bed and bath are also lovely. We must come back in the warmer months to make best use of them!
Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. We couldn't have asked for more, thank you and we are recommending it to all our friends!

I cannot express how incredible our two day weekend at the Tree house retreats was. This was a birthday treat for my husband. I can honestly say, I’m now “Wife of the year”. From meeting the amazing Paul and Jane, to returning our trusty golf buggy, every second was just magical. The scenery, the tree house, the farm shop, it was all idyllic. These wonderful people have thought of everything. We will definitely come and visit again. Thank you so much for having us.

We had the most luxurious, wonderful stay at The Griffin for my husband's 40th birthday. Beautifully furnished to a high standard. We could have lived there! The outside bathtub was such a treat!

Really wonderful experience. The cottages and the setting is magical. The welcome from the team was very warm and friendly. The near by farm shop and cafe are excellent and well worth a visit.
You definitely need a golf buggy for carrying items and I think they should include these in the price.

Gorgeous treehouse and setting with really friendly staff that went to extra effort to make our stay wonderful. The buggy ride up to the treehouse is great fun and having Cowdray farm shop and cafe next door is amazing. Thanks to Victoria and Zoe for looking after us.

We spent a wonderful 4 nights at Muntjac with our 2 dogs. The treehouse was superb with a large living area, large bedroom and large bathroom. The balcony wrapped around the rear of the property and was very private. The accommodation was equipped with everything we could have asked for and more. Cowdray itself is a stunning location. There is loads to do and a visit to the ruins is a must. The staff were lovely, very helpful and couldn't do enough for us. We will be back. Thank you 🩷🩷🩷

We have just returned from a wonderful stay at Tree House Retreats at Cowdray. It was perfect from start to finish. Jane and Victoria were amazingly helpful every step of the way and the treehouses were superb. Excellent quality of furnishings and fittings and milk, juice, teabags, washing up liquid etc all there for our arrival. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and rented 3 treehouses for 3 couples. We enjoyed the outdoor balconies and the wooden outdoor baths and loved driving the golf buggies !

Our stay at the Tree House Retreats was nothing short of perfection for our mini-moon following our Wedding Day! The perfect, peaceful idyllic retreat to enjoy some quality time together. We stayed in Buzzard, and the accommodation was very clean, tidy and cosy. Had everything you could possibly need for your stay, even things such as binoculars, umbrellas, tote bags and lots of blankets to sit outside and enjoy the gorgeous view! We also hired the golf buggy for the duration of our stay for convenience of getting to & from the tree house; which we would absolutely encourage everyone to do! We will absolutely be back, thank you to THR for the most wonderful stay.

We stayed at Chukka for two nights in August 2025 for our mini-moon, and our experience at THR was fantastic. From the booking process to the pre-stay communications and the warm welcome we received, everything exceeded our expectations. Our host, Victoria, was incredibly friendly, professional, and thorough; she even allowed us to check in earlier than expected.

We enjoyed using the golf buggy to get around, and the facilities in the treehouse were of very high quality. It was clear that they thought of everything to ensure their guests felt comfortable.

We did notice two minor issues during our stay: the bathroom sink drained slowly, and there was a tapping or scratching sound that was noticeable when trying to go to sleep sound. It seemed to come from the ceiling or left window in the bedroom. We suspected it might be the outdoor fairy lights above the bath tapping against the wall/roof. We noticed these details during our stay that are worth mentioning, but neither of them negatively impacted our experience.

We have been recommending THR to all our friends and family. Thank you for making our break special! We’d love to bring our two boys back one day.

Rest and Reset…. We have just enjoyed a beautiful 2 night break in the Griffin treehouse. The team are so friendly and helpful. The treehouse is stunning in every way possible. The design has so much thought in it. The dog loved it and so did we. Would happily stay again. 🤩

One of my favourite places to stay. From arriving you are greeted by some of the nicest people you will meet. The treehouse is pure luxury. The two times we have stayed there. We couldn’t have wished for a better stay. Great place to take the dogs too. The buggy is a must and great way to get around the estate.

We had a fantastic stay here and we were very sorry to leave. All the little touches were perfect and we felt so looked after. It was amazing to watch the birds and sit outside until late with the lantern. We hope to be back!

From start to finish, our experience with TreeHouseretreats was spot on. They were great with communication and accommodating to let us change the dates on our stay at relatively short notice. The Treehouses are stunning. So well decorated, designed and built into nature. A particular highlight is the outside bath and the whole balcony area, with the view into the forest and beyond. Getting your own buggy to drive to them is also a bit of fun too, a great little touch. We ordered a brekkie and dinner to be supplied too, and they were brilliant. All in all, this was the perfect getaway for a couple of nights of peace and relaxation. We will 100% be coming back!

Wonderful stay in luxurious treehouse. Everything was thought of and we really appreciated the yoga mat and the mini bar. Victoria and Jane were so helpful and friendly and the golf buggy was great fun. Added bonus of the polo which Victoria kindly sent us passes for.
You could hear traffic noise when relaxing on the terrace of Buzzard but not much can be done about that.

Fabulous stay, great accommodation in a lovely area of West Sussex and amazing weather plus Polo on Sunday. Enjoyed by entire family

This was the best staycation we’ve ever had, the golf buggy absolutely made it and we spent our time watching the polo which was also a brilliant bonus.
Victoria was the most amazing host. We will definitely be recommending this to everyone we know!
