Awful experience with FSA Claims
Their FSA claims department will "blanket deny" *every* single claim you submit, no matter the documentation, no matter the medical necessity. They make interest off the money they refuse to release to you for reimbursement, essentially holding your money hostage. If your company is considering using this "benefits" provider, urge them to think otherwise. Absolutely horrible experience.

Non Accountable Company
I discussed an existing medical savings account with their customer service. The reason why I was talking with them in the first place was the did not process an expense despite receiving a receipt twice. I noticed their website had me with a balance. I did not think the funds were available, so I called customer service and the rep told me they were. When the expense was processed they denied the claim. In the end their response was, even if the website and our CSR is wrong, we will default to the plan. No offer to correct it, admit their mistake or anything. The last email they sent was rude. I will never, ever, deal with TriNet again and I will ask my company to get rid of them. I am not the first person to notice. They outsource all of their work. A collective bunch of nonperformance. If there was a zero star I would have selected it. To Tri-Net's reply. I offered many opportunities to work together. Frankly as a customer service manager there were things which could have been done to alleviate the situation. At the time I was out of work and what Tri-Net did was saddle me with a 600 bill I would have never incurred without their direction. The capper was the rude response at the end. As a note the company I was dealing with has moved on to another HR supplier. My suggestion is, if you make an error, own it, alleviate and do not revert to rules and regs when you or your rep makes a mistake.

Incorrect local tax filing. Never responded to my inquiry about it. Received a late notice for state unemployment compensation filing. These are very basic expectations.

Caution for business owners. You will lose your tax benefits
Lots promised but not delivered. On many things it seems great to get the insurance etc however, they were not clear how I would now be their employee so as an owner I lost tens of thousands for tax benefits. This was not clear or I would not have signed on.
My employment was terminated on JulyâŠ
My employment was terminated on July 31, 2025, and Trinet was notified prior. I received my COBRA enrollment form on August 19th, which I immediately submitted along with my payment to cover from August 1st to August 31st. As of August 26th, I am still without coverage despite multiple calls to Trinet and my insurance carrier. The customer service is at Trinet terrible and the delay in sending COBRA enrollment form two weeks after termination date is ridiculous. I need medication which costs over $400 dollars and cannot afford to pay for it.

Good value with HCM integratingâŠ
Good value with HCM integrating payroll, hiring, performance and more. Implementation took a long time, close to 6 months for full process. Often works well but some features are limited in customization, such as payroll to match our 35-hour workweek. Calculations unexplainable revert to 40-hour norms and there is no good explain or fix. We have to manually adjust when doing non-routine payroll functions. Like the employee engagement surveys and operations ions to customize that and performance appraisals, 360 reviews, and coaching conversations.
