Trip Advisor seems to have gone into hiding. There is no one to contact if there are technical issues and bugs with its website. It is constantly giving the wrong hours for our tourism site.

I like the idea of trip advisor but it's turned into a monster! I sent a review of a lovely restaurant and firstly I had to write more than 100 characters.
Then there were loads of questions they asked. Then there has been email after email from them! Please don't be that company. I have unsubscribed.

Qasr Al Sarab Desert Resort by Anantara.
Superb, a 5 star resort in the Empty Quarter surrounded by sand dunes, yet every luxury imaginable with staff that were the best I have every encountered. If you love deserts this is the place. It was a unique and wonderful experience and one I hope to repeat in the not too distant future.
I would publically like to thank ALL the staff at Qsar al Sarab resort, in particular, and in no order,
Hayesha and the breakfast team, Niroshan and other buggy drivers, Ina and Paola and Kathlyn and her team, Aman and Haran and the house keeping team the Manager of the pool area and all the helpful pool staff, all drivers and receptionists and finally and most especially Mohcine
I would gladly give 6 out of 5 if that were possible.

We recently went on a guided tour with MoaTours NZ (Southern Odyssey) from Queenstown to Stewart Island visiting various places along the way. What an amazing trip. It was so well organised, we didn't have to worry about a thing.
We visited places of interest such as museums, Olveston House and Larnach Castle. Stewart Island we went from Kiwi spotting at night to bush walking on Ulva Island. Flying back to Invercargill to go to the Caitlins and then onto Dunedin with heaps of snow all around.
Accommodation and food were great.
Our Guides were so friendly, with a wonderful sense of humour.

The lovely lady receptionist had booked me for a non ocean view room as I was happy without the view.upon arrival,she kindly upgraded me (at the same price with no view)to an ocean view room and it is beautiful and so is the room.very very impressed.thank you The Nautilus.. Napier.

Amazing hospitality with detail in their service and an honest friendly team! Amazing accommodation too. Weve stayed with many service providers and they did the best job. You wont make a mistake to stay with them whenin the area. Looking at the awards they won a person can see this is a place with ongoing service and we werent just lucky. Thank you Troye and Team for a lovely stay. Wont stay anywhere else if we ever stay in the area again!

We went to Larnach castle a couple of years ago and could drive up to view the gardens. Well today drove up and a pay booth was at the gate. (Previous visit you paid castle visit at the shop) $35 per adult with castle inside view and the gardens and if only want to view gardens $17.50 p/adult for a 15 min walk as there is not much to see. Disgusted as this does not justify looking at a garden that has a few hedges and a fountain. Been to a lot of magnificent gardens in my life for free or a gold coin or maybe $5 but $17.50 This is a rip off for tourists and locals.

Bodrum Kitchen, New Lynn. We went to this restaurant three nights in a row. Why ? - well the food was absolutely delicious but above all our waiter Stanley made us feel so welcome. He greeted us,personally, was knowledgeable about the menu and drinks. He provided excellent service , Stanley was friendly and made us feel happy to be eating delicious food in such lovely surroundings when we were a long way away from our home town.

Well where do I start.
Perhaps my expectations were too high.
On first appearances I noticed there were stains on the divan covering ... the explanation was we can’t get the stains out ummm she then changed the bed cover blaming her staff.
In the morning I complained that the microwave was dirty and the fridge had been turned off and was on ‘0’ which in the morning had not chilled my friends medication at the correct temperature and all our food and milk was warm... she said that was our fault because when she went to Queenstown she always checked the fridge. I said we didn’t expecting have to check all the facilities were working as that was her responsibility to her customers. I said what are you going to do about it instead of blaming your staff. I said you are only interested in our money not in us as your customers and you should recompense us to that she said I am sorry and I think you should leave. Nice

Christchurch Gondola.
Excellent value for money. The shop manageress, Noeline, was well worth the admission fee herself. A very helpfull, cheerfull lady. The shop was not over priced with some very good sale bargains.Being an excessively hot day the actual Gondola ride up could have been quite uncomfortable but the staff at the entrance gave us bottles of ice cold water to take with us. A top notch attraction.

Moa tours bridge to nowhere,well lead with a great variety,forgotten highway, rail carts,Gentle Annie a road many kiwis never see great stations and development,then ending with a meeting with 10000 gannets and there chicks.not to be missed, put it on the bucket list

Botswana Butchery Auckland. My wife and I went here for dinner on Saturday 28 Nov.It was a very relaxing Restaurant but most of all we were really fortunate that Honor looked after our table.She was so friendly and welcoming and a good sense of humour.The meal was great but the taste felt even better with the exceptional service we received from Honor.She is an asset to the restaurant and just for her service we would definitely visit the Botswana Butchery again.All the best Honour and thank you.

Superb accommodation, friendly host full of the regions sightseeing. A lovely very clean Motel -excellent bedding and lush pillows. Will definately be back again.

Very disappointed with TripAdvisor. I was once an avid supporter of this website but understand that anyone can leave a review even if they have not stayed or experienced the hospitality business. Even if proved to be a fraudulent review they will not remove it. They obviously care little for the hard-working business owners trying to get one step ahead whists being targeted by unscrupulous competition or a vindictive person.

Had a fantastic morning out with Adam on the glass bottom boat. The bottle nose dolphins came out to play on the wake of the boat as an added bonus. Beautiful scenery and a great commentary helping us to fully appreciate the natural beauty of this coastline. Thoroughly recommend this tour.

Hotel : appealing .clean, secure parking area.
and a warm and welcoming feeling .
Room : well appointed ,good ocean view,
clean and comfortable.
Location : Was good plenty to see and do within
walking distance. Historic ,Art Deco
site sites to be seen.
Staff : Friendly , Helpful .with a good knowledge
of the area. and very good at there jobs.
Our personal feelings about our stay at the

We found our stay to be relaxing and
Comfortable We enjoyed good breakfast . and after dinner drinks at the lounge bar.
We found it to be value for money and
and a must return destination.

We stayed 2 nights (26,27 June 2020) at Motel on York in Dunedin. When booking directly with motel I requested a room with a view over the city and was assured this wasn't a problem. I was led to believe that we'd be on the top floor. However upon arriving (and struggling with the key card to actually open the door) late on Friday 26th we soon realised that this was not the case. We were on the middle floor with a shared courtyard that had a high concrete beige painted prison like wall surrounding it. Being around (5ft2) I could not see over this fortress so absolutley no view what so ever. In fact we found this very enclosing and rather depressing. Apart from this we found the room to be Extremely small(tiny in fact) with little to no room for luggage. It was also very tired and in desperate need of a huge revamp to bring it into the 21st century, with only a double (certainly didn't feel like a queen) sized bed and a shabby (beige colored) throw on it that I didn't dare look too carefully in fear of what I'd see... at a glance it didn't look good. The bed itself would've had to have been one of the most uncomfortable beds I've ever had the misfortune to"try" to sleep in...Thankfully we stayed no more than 2 nights because I couldn't sleep and left exhausted! The carpet in front of sliding door that went out onto the mossy courtyard looked as if it was at the rotting stage and was darker in appearance. The bathroom was very cute, however the shower was a joke! I've never seen a shower so tiny in all my life!! It would've been around quarter the size of a standard sized shower. If you are a well rounded person you'd be lucky if you would even fit into it, never mind trying to turn around in it! Thankfully this wasn't an issue for me, however I did find that when lifting my arm up to wash my elbow would hit the door flinging it open and water flooding over the floor. Also the shower head was installed too high and the actual head part wouldn't adjust so when turned on, the water would be at the height of your face and not your body. As you can imagine showering was a challenge. In fact it was a nightmare!!! Finally... With only 1 key card issued (per room) this is an issue, as it can be very easy to accidentally lock it inside. Also this card turns on the power to the room, so if you go out for the night (especially in the winter) you'll return to a very cold temperature in your room, and it takes a long time for the one old heater to crank up.

Overall I struggle to find any positives worth mentioning, but they are as follows:

Pump liquid soap, moisturizer, shampoo & shower gel.

Free parking.

Close to town.

Netflix.

Warm... eventually

Plenty of plates, cups, utensils etc...

Clean... most areas...(I think/hope)...

I have just had the most amazing customer service from Keira that works at Whistler holiday apartments! her response was so quick and was very keen to help in any way she could. i look forward to my stay!

The Polo Bar and Restaurant where I have just met with a group of ex work colleagues is exceptionally good! From the minute I entered until I left the service and food was exceptional. A great restaurant for small and large groups.
