As it was my first singles event I attended with a positive attitude and open mind. There were several gorgeous ladies who had notably made an effort, dressed to impress and so on. Sadly the same cannot be said for the men as it seemed us ladies had interrupted their night out. From my observations, they were either concerned with talking to each other, playing pool or talking at us. I understand nerves may have played a part but this was astonishing considering the 30-50 age bracket . I observe it was mostly the ladies initiating conversation too. All in all the event was akin to a humiliation ritual for the women.

The over 50s speed dating night felt relaxed from the moment I arrived. The host made a point of welcoming everyone which really helped with nerves. There was a good mix of people and proper conversations, not just shallow chit chat. I’d happily attend another.

It was my first time at this events and I wasn't expecting to be that good.Shane at Penta Hotel Reading at the singles party was amazing he did help a lot.Definitely will be back for future events and I totally recommend it for others to give it a try and make new friends or finding their love.

Didn't know what to what to expect but I am so glad I pushed myself to go. The vibe was welcoming from the start and the hosts made it feel easy to settle in. It ran smoothly, just enough time with each person without feeling rushed. If you’re thinking about it, just go for it!
