Don't accept a job offer from Louise Trueman
I was contacted by the owner Louise Trueman the founder of Trueman Bailey Law offering me a job as a PA, self employed. I have always been PAYE and therefore never had to own my own laptop, I advised her of this but stated I would sort it out as she wanted me to start Monday, she then messaged me today saying we would speak later and see what could be done.
I then received the below:-
"Iâve decided that we shalnât move forward at this stage but thank you so much for your time to date.
I have concerns around the inability to utilise a laptop and that one isnât in your possession or not being able to find the solution to it. As a business - it is fundamental we work with people who are able to find quick solutions to problems and this isnât going to work just at the moment - but thank you so much for your time"
I went out today and spent £500 on a new laptop and advised her that I had purchsed everything required for a start on Monday but she replied saying the decision stands.
Extremely unprofessional, glad I saw her for who she is prior to working for her. Be careful if she offers you a position!
