The worst customer service I've ever experienced. I requested to replace my bank cards, different staff kept sending me the same forms to complete. I've had 4 video verification calls yet it has not been resolved, I've sent 3 follow up emails after the video call, no reply received. Very unprofessional service and employees. If there was -0 star that's what UBA deserves.
No access to account for over 8 months!
For over 8 months I have not been able to get into my joint account, despite providing all of the paperwork the bank has requested. Despite doing multiple video verifications. UBA bank service it appears to being unbeliveable poor for those who reside in Nigeria, so I shouldn't be shocked at how bad it is for those of us who live abroad. I urge anyone reading this who is considering to become a customer of UBA to avoid them. The customer service team do not care to rectify any issues customers are facing. I find it incredibly sad that the management of UBA bank allow their staff and overall company to fail their customers, time and time again.

The most unprofessional banking staff that I have met in my life. If I could rate this lower than 1 star, I would do this in a heartbeat.
For over four months, I have been trying to open a business account at the Ndjili branch of UBA RDC. Despite following all the procedures and depositing the required funds since June/July 2024, I have been given nothing but excuses and delays. The staff refuses to provide any clear communication or updates.
I have repeatedly requested to meet with the branch manager or obtain their email address, but the staff categorically refuses to provide this information. Additionally, the agent supposedly in charge, known only as "Ibrahim," is shielded by the team, who refuse to share his full name or take accountability for the constant runaround.
Just today, I was called in again, asked to wait the entire day, only to leave with no resolution or meaningful explanation. This is a disgraceful way to treat customers, especially entrepreneurs who rely on professional service to manage their businesses.
I expected much better from a bank of UBA's stature, but this experience has been a complete disappointment. If you value your time, avoid this bank at all costs.
Update : I reached out to the management of the bank, the problem was solved within 2 hrs.

Persistently, kept asking very personalised, unprofessional and inappropriate questions. Despite me conveying to the driver that what you are asking is unfortunately inappropriate, however, he began to laugh and continued. Throughout the journey, I felt incredibly uncomfortable. In addition, through his communications he was discriminatory as he had asked what culture you are from and where are your parents from. He had also asked about my age and continued to be absoultely unprofessional. I wasn't comfortable providing him with a response, so, I didn't convey it explicitly. He then continued to ruminate about his country, and was very judgmental and became quite defensive through his communications.
I think it is of critical importance to reinforce drivers to be professional at all times and refrain from asking very personalised inappropriate questions and ultimately ensuring that the environment is non-discriminatory, non-judgmental and communicating professionally and accepting all walks of life. In spite of this, I believe continually reinforcing the need of following the organisations policies and procedures and having training is paramount so that drivers are aware of the expectations and understand how to communicate. I also believe addressing appropriate effective and professional communication is significantly important and having good customer service skills. Having drivers potentially doing a course could provide them with what values and courtesy and how we approach customers, and communicate effectively. The driver had very poor customer service skills in addition to other things as delineated through my comments. I completely forgot to catch his name, but, I would not certainly recommend this driver at all. Be absoultely careful and vigilant with your comments and whom you are sharing with.

There contact us does not work. Very poor service . And my fiancé sent me money from America but they never sent the money to my bank and decided to return the money but never gave him the full amount back.

Absolutely horrible here in Lagos. Network is ALWAYS down. As much money as you see in the bank they never have money if you're at the teller to withdraw, better yet never at the ATM either I wish i was exaggerating. UBA are always so extremely slow though there is barely anyone inside the bank, as I write this I've been inside for two hours waiting on my money, the hold up now? Lack of paper, that's right no A4 paper seriously. Though we banked for how long we still have to use nin verification phone number which loves to be down too. Staff doesn't know the most basic of questions. In one city I had to inform the bank manager that her bank accepts international cards, she had no idea yet she manages? Banking here makes me feel stupid because of all their incompetence. I'm done. Im going to Wema at least their ATM never lacks no matter what city I'm in. UBA causes way to much stress and it's not worth it.

Worst banking experience so far! I thought they had changed for better but their services are still nothing to write home about. I requested for my daily online transaction limit for quickteller.com to be increased. It took the bank and it's staff 3 SOLID WEEKS going back and forth requesting for documentation which I made sure I sent as requested. Only to get a mail from them after I sent a reminder/prompt about the long wait in the 3rd week. In their reply they now said they are sorry because the limit for quickteller cannot be increased.
Wasted 3 weeks thinking I was dealing with a good bank... Shameful!!

The customer service is so so unprofessional they seem not to know what they are doing. Worst bank ever. After making a video validation of me and my account, still they could not help me rectify my request. I told these unprofessional clowns that I live abroad still yet they want me to come to the nearest bank in Nigeria to get my issue rectified.
WORST BANK EVER- 0% SERVICE
Please keep away from this bank people who are in diaspora, the bank is a scam, I have wasted so much time and money trying to access my funds which they deviously used deceptive methods to deny access by making Internet banking not work. They refused to respond to email shooting out standard ones with the same messages that does not address the problem, thereafter they stop sending anthing leaving you without a reslution and with no access to your money. This is the worst bank to do any form of personal banking or business with, they are very dishonest. It was the worst mistake ever having anything to do with this bank. They are very bad for personal banking and business banking. This is another review cause problem with the bank is ongoing.

My experience with UBA is better when I was in Nigeria. My online app stopped when I travelled and all my efforts to bring it back were all in vain.
I have been writing them to reactivate my account for a long time and have submitted all the documents they requested from me still nothing has been done and no hope of getting it done because I have been writing them and wasted my money in calling them but whenever I experienced an issue with some other banks they would get it done within 48hrs. if i can get a zero i will be happy to rate you one. taking over four months now of emails back and forth to have my account reactivated. the respond rate is zero it take over 2 week to get an email responds and the worst of it is the fact that they will lie in an official email that carry the official company name that they called you when they did not. UBA get your staff to speed this is 2024 but your bank operation still runs likes you are in the 80s
