I did a course with them nearly two years ago. They promised to help with my employment prospects but left me out to dry. Not they won't stop contacting me despite being asked repeatedly to delete my contact information and leave me alone.

I recently did the it support and cyber security course through generation. The course was great from start to finish. Teaching not only the technical side of the role but also the employment side. After the course was finished we entered the placement phase. I got a role within 3 weeks of finishing the course in IT with help from Marika. She really helped and gave me confidence in the interview

Application instantly failed for unknown reasons.
Highly likely a data mining company and seem very sketchy. So be very cautious.

No real contact phone number which makes it more dubious.
And they send the most generic responses which is even worse.

I recently completed the Sustainability Advisor program with Generations UK & Ireland, and I can honestly say it was a transformative experience. The training was incredibly well-structured, combining practical sustainability knowledge with professional skills development that prepared me for real-world challenges in the green sector.

What stood out to me the most was the supportive community – from the instructors to fellow participants, everyone was committed to learning, growing, and making a positive impact. The program not only deepened my understanding of environmental issues and sustainable practices but also equipped me with the tools and mindset needed to become an effective advisor. I truly feel prepared to contribute meaningfully to a more sustainable future.

I would highly recommend Generations UK & Ireland to anyone looking to start or pivot into a career in sustainability. It’s more than just a training program – it’s a launchpad for purpose-driven professionals.

I took the web development course in 2021 and it was great. During our programme, we had brilliant instructors who helped us to learn the fundamentals and even challenged us with projects. Some we built with cohort members (Agile), some we built as individuals. We also learnt the soft skills required to land and keep an entry level job which looking back now, all have helped me in one form or the other. In addition, we were given free LinkedIn Premium access, which I believe was helpful for me as it made recruiters to notice me the more.

If anyone had not too good experience, that could be because they had different expectationS. Generation didn't promise to give us jobs - and maybe they could have done better in getting more employers to attend our recruiters' day - but they did promise us that we'd have the skill sets and confidence to apply for entry level jobs in web development, which they delivered on. Hardly would any training provider promise to get everyone hired as this is impracticable but getting the skills, being supported in job hunting etc go a long way and I'm grateful for that opportunity. It was a free training also so a lot to be grateful for.

It's a data mining company so be careful. They also use the "restart" moto as if they are part of the re-start programme from the goverment.

I went through numerous interviews, personal questions, and phone calls, all to confirm whether I was suitable for the course. In the end, I was told I wasn’t suitable, possibly because I have other responsibilities as a mom. There was no feedback or apology for the time I spent on this process, which feels like a waste.

I have contacted them 5 days ago no one replied yet ,very bad customer service

Their courses are misleading, they don't focus on the intended subject, it's mostly about DEI initiatives and group think compliance, the company itself seems to be quite shady & cliquey and the structure of the "training" seems chaotic and mostly irrelevant to working life, a kind of Americanised TV fantasy view of reality, oh, and did I mention they are obsessed with rewriting your CV to make themselves look good?

It's just a NEET scam to make the DWP and UK government happy.

Was sold on doing the retrofit advisor course 3months ago (the course lasted 10 weeks). Very little content was actually about retrofitting and sustainability with a huge focus on diversity, political correctness, customer service, how to write emails etc (which frankly were not beneficial to most of the cohort) . The scheduling was a mess and too much time was wasted on documenting our personal feelings and writing cover letters designed to praise Generation.
Anyway, at the beginning of the course I we were specifically told 80% of all graduates will be employed in this industry within 3 months of the completing the course. We were promised interviews and employability sessions with local retrofit / renewable energy companies etc and assured that retrofit advisors were now in huge demand across the UK. Recently it has emerged the role of the retrofit advisor does not exist anymore under Pas2035 and there are only jobs available in this industry for Retrofit Assessors and those with more experience/qualifications in the retrofit industry, and practically zero entry level jobs. I feel mislead and miss-sold on the realities of the employment opportunities available and while some of the course was useful and I met some great people who I call friends , I am hugely disappointed that what was promised at the beginning was a lie.
There are no retrofit advisor entry level jobs in Scotland right now and yet Generation are running a production line of graduates for the role every couple of months or so . Nobody in my cohort who has graduated has found anything in the industry and some will be forced to rethink their career paths or pay for further qualifications to gain access to any such jobs.

They sell the course as if it almost like 90% you will get a job after it.
While in reality it is more like 8% or lower.
And they refused to say how many people got hired when asked before starting the course. now i know why probably so low
