My website contained a few pages criticizing the behaviour of someone who sent a DMCA email to Ultahost. Ultahost then terminated my services and denied all requests for a refund, even 8 days after the start of the service. Ultahost therefore reacted with what appeared to be, legal paranoia, and no desire to promote freedom of speech in the slightest. The VPS in South Africa was too slow in the network bandwidth/file transfer speed, often reaching as low as 50KB/sec, which I think was due to congestion somewhere along the line from there to my 1.2 Gig FTTP home network connection in the UK. The VPS in Switzerland was fast however.
I was refused any refunds even though my circumstances satisfied the requirements on their cancellation and refund policy page.
Their sales person simply invented a new rule: you have to have an active monthly billing cycle. Dishonest and deceptive.
I wanted to like Ultahost however it was unfortunately below average in performance on this occasion. I hope they continuously improve as they clearly have the technical capability, they only need the management desire.

DON'T BUY FROM THEM. THEY HAVE THE WORST IPS EVER ON THEIR VPS.

I used Ultahost for hosting an Ark ASA server. The server was very stable during my entire period of using their services. When reaching out to customer service and opening tickets, they were always very quick to respond and were very helpful. Ryan Brandon, Roland Smith, and Samuel Hall were the three Customer Support Staff members that I dealt with the most. Reasons such as how to manually roll back my server without having to open a ticket each time and assisting me with finding which add-ons I had installed which were preventing me from seeing the game on the main menu page. So thank you again to those staff members. I will happily come back to use Ultahost services again.

I was experiencing very high ping when connecting to my Palworld server hosted in Singapore through UltaHost. After I shared a traceroute with them, their support team quickly noticed that my connection was taking a strange route through Japan, the US, and Australia before reaching Singapore.
They explained everything clearly and pointed out that the problem was with my ISP’s routing — not their server. They also suggested using a VPN to bypass the bad route, which actually fixed the problem. Now I get great ping and stable performance.
Really impressed by how professional and helpful their support was. Highly recommended!

I’ve been working with WordPress for over 7 years and have handled 250+ projects on every kind of hosting—shared, VPS, dedicated—across SiteGround, IONOS, AWS, Lightsail, you name it. UltraHost’s shared hosting? Easily the worst I’ve ever seen.
Their servers are a joke. The specs they advertise are completely misleading. Just uploading a single image triggered a 500 error. A simple plugin update would spike CPU usage through the roof. It’s like the servers are running on 100MB of RAM from a decade ago.
And don’t get me started on their support. Incompetent, dishonest, and rude. They dodge issues, refuse to acknowledge clear problems, and show zero professionalism. I raised tickets from day one—and every single one was a fight. No resolution, just deflection.
I finally gave them one last shot by trying their VPS. Let’s see if that actually works. But as far as shared hosting goes, never again. I wouldn’t recommend this service to anyone—not even my worst enemy.
Total disaster of an experience. I’m drained just writing this. I’ve already asked for a refund. Let’s hope they get at least that part right.
