If you are looking for a club to send your kids to that will give them confidence, fitness and introduce them to an amazing sport then look no further than Ultimate Judo. Gordon and the coaches at Ultimate Judo are patient, inclusive and manage to make the classes fun for the kids. Shortly after my son started the club I was tempted back onto the judo mat myself - some 27 years after I last stepped on it! Adult classes have the same culture as the kids classes, with the emphasis on learning at you own pace whilst having fun. There are many club members who have been there for years and they are all on hand with an encouraging word. It's family run club for all the family.

My son started with Gordon at Ultimate Judo at the age of 8. He is now 18 and a brown belt , going for his black. Gordon was actually recommended to me by a top tier Kung Fu instructor who emphasised that Gordon in particular was just the right person to teach my son and instil confidence in him. This has absolutely been the case. Gordon and his lovely wife and sons are really part of the community and are totally trustworthy , approachable and just who you would want to look after your child in the early stages of learning a martial art and then to progress them to the higher belts. Absolutely one of the best things I ever did for my son. Thanks Gordon.

This is a fantastic club, my son has been doing judo here since was 6 and ten years on is still loving it. Gordon, family and coaching team are so awesome really embody judo principles and support kids to do as much as they can. My son was lucky to go with club to Japan for once in a lifetime experience. Cannot recommend club highly enough.

Both our son and daughter have been attending Ultimate Judo for about a year now and both absolutely love attending. Gordon and his team are great with the kids, and they have learned so much already.

There is no-one like Gordon and crew.. I couldn't recommend the club more! Supportive and inclusive, they make everyone feel welcome and like they belong and this is reflected in the attitudes of all class members. My daughter trained for 2.5years with the club - since she was 4.5yo until we left the country - from day 1 she felt welcomed and learnt so much. They integrate fun and games into training exercises, and value respect, self control and supporting each other. Gordon and the other staff members are fun, grounded and are amazing people - can't recommend the club more. A super life skill, especially learning how to fall, and fun way to learn! A terrific mix of enthusiastic and talented youngsters alongside knowledgeable and passionate coaches. Children develop confidence and life skills on the mats here.

Our son has been a judo player with Ultimate Judo for about 10 years. He has recently been awarded brown belt. The club has been brilliant for developing discipline, respect, kindness, physical strength and agility. We are very grateful to the coach Gordon and other coaches. The club also has a lot to offer out with weekly classes: workshops with world leading judo players, trips to Japan, etc. The club was very supportive to its members and families during covid. All the way through lockdown there was a choice of a few weekly online classes.

At Ultimate Judo everyone is made welcome and made to feel a part of this judo family. It’s a family club run in an sage and enjoyable environment where everyone can train to their preferred level and help is always on hand.

My son has been a member for over 10yrs and I cannot recommend Ultimate Judo enough. Gordon is a hugely inspirational and dedicated teacher and his passion for Judo and it’s values is deeply embedded in the club. The whole team are wonderful. Such a happy, positive and inclusive group. I feel incredibly fortunate that my children are able to benefit from their expertise and guidance and be a part of such a welcoming, safe and highly professional group. It’s also lots & lots of fun!

Ultimate judo has been Absolutely brilliant for both my son and daughter. It has reigned my son in and helped him grow into a strong leader and role model and also pulled my daughter out of her shell and gave her some much needed confidence allowing her to fulfil her ambitions. I cannot speak more highly about Gordon and the ultimate judo family.

Gordon and the other coaches at ultimate judo are absolutely brilliant. My son has been going a few years and loves it. They care so deeply for all the kids and meet them where they are at, so all abilities are supported and encouraged. As parents, we couldn’t ask for more.
Judo is such a great sport. Love the sportsmanship, care & respect for others that it encourages.
Gordon is great at arranging great opportunities like masterclasses with Olympic gold medalists, and hearing from a top achiever in the sport with the George Kerr talk. Our son has also participated in Japan day with the club.
So much to gain from being of part of ultimate judo, hugely recommend to anyone.

Fun, patience and great life skills. Both my boys have trained with ultimate judo since starting primary school. The coaches focus on fun, his patience and what they have learned is fantastic!!!! They regularly come home sweaty and smiling. They’ve made good friends and are more confident in their own abilities. I would hugely recommend to one and all!!!!

Gordon,and the team are great at judo with my kids, one has additional needs and this hasn't stopped him being involved in any way.

Fantastic Judo club. Gordon is great with all ages and there is always lots of opportunities to progress and develop. A very friendly and welcoming club at all levels. My kids love going to their judo sessions.

With a class on nearly every day of the week, extra clubs on during the holidays, belt gradings, competitions, performances, parties / celebrations and fund raisers it really does feel like a second home!

Gordon, Yati and the team are a huge support to all the kids.
Its not just amazing judo, fitness, discipline and health that they learn here - its life skills!

My husband also does judo and if i can sign up the cat I'll forever be grateful for a night to myself!!

Excellent judo club for all ages and fitness levels.

My son looks forward to it every week and also loves the camps in holiday time. Gordon is fab with all the kids 👍🏻 would highly recommend
