Technical Support That Helped
I had some technical issues with renewing my UltraVPN subscription. When I realized that I could not fix the problem myself, I contacted the company via email. I had a number of email exchanges with different individuals in their customer service and was "made right". The staff responded in a reasonable time frame and obviously wanted me to be satisfied. In the end, I am. I give 4-stars solely based on the need to seek out help and being unable to be to take care of things myself.

OMG - WHAT A TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH THESE PEOPLE!!!!
I subscribed to UltraVPN and quite liked it, from 2019 through 2021. During this time I changed (and forgot) the password to the email associated with that account and they were nice enough to merge my new email addy with old account within their systems. I am not SURE if this change somehow affected my subscription, but the program began to not want to respond or connect, the updates would fail, I would lose the entirety of the program after an auto update (even though I had auto updates disabled), meaning even the UltraVPN exe (executable file) would just be GONE from my system, etc.
DESPITE THIS, on Sept. 19 of 2021, I attempted to renew for another two years but my charge would not go through (yet another glitch). I contacted them and they charged my Discover card. Still, I continued to experience nothing but trouble and opened support ticket after support ticket. I swear, at one point I thought they were just messing with me - that's how bad it got. n one of my last communications with them back then I even asked for me money back. In May of 2022, I had enough, I counted my losses, went with Surfshark, and uninstalled UltraVpn.
REGRETTABLY, on the evening of October 8, 2022, Surfshark was undergoing maintenance on my PREFERRED server (hardly ever happened before) and - I could kick myself - instead of using another server, I decided to see if this was one of the times UltraVPN worked for me.
I logged on NOT to the program because I DO NOT HAVE the program installed, but to my account on their website in order to download the new version of the program and thinking I had paid for TWO years in 2021 and was therefore paid through Sept. 19, 2023.
When I logged in to my account on their site, my account with them was closed, and I was prompted to “RENEW”. NOW, there is NO way in the world I would PAY to renew with them, BUT (ugh - again, kick myself) since I did think I WAS ALREADY paid up through Sept. 19, 2023, I contacted them and said that I was being asked to “renew” when I was sure I was paid up to 2023.
AFTER I sent that support ticket from their site, I THEN looked through my records and saw that indeed, I only had service with them through 2022 (although I could swear I paid for another two years). I contacted them AGAIN and told them to “disregard” my previous contact and that the subscription was indeed “OVER”. NOTE THAT I NEVER DOWNLOADED OR REINSTALLED OR TRIED TO LOG IN TO THE ULTRAVPN PROGRAM.
WELL ... Not too long afterward (perhaps an hour), I logged into my Discover account because I was waiting for another charge (Amazon) to post before I froze my card, AND I SEE AN $89 charge from no other than ULTRAVPN! /SIGH
I contacted them three times afterward and they have replied, but now they say that they cannot even see where they charged me! I just now opened a dispute with my bank.
STAY AWAY from this company.

Poor service and will not cancel direct debit despite repeated requests.
I found the service very difficult to use. I couldn't get a good connection, so I switched to another provider. I have asked to cancel my subscription, but so far I have only had an email asking me why I want to cancel, and then when I confirmed, I have heard nothing since. Then they took ANOTHER payment from me. I am so concerned with this company that I have disabled the bank account details and removed funds so that they cannot continue to charge me despite my requests to cancel. Looks like another reviewer has had a similar experience.
Please see the initial response from Ultravpn. I had already contacted the company to cancel as above. I have sent my third contact to this company today yet I have sill received no response. Absolutely shocking!!!!

Speedy efficiency.
I have encountered problems a few times since joining Ultra VPN and each time I have found the customer service personnel to be extremely helpful. I would highlight their tenacity since they keep going with a never-ending variety of suggested solutions until the problem is solved. Add to that the speed of their response and you have an ideal service.

This VPN will not cancel your subscription and will continually steal money from your account at much higher rates than they advertise for their "service". Avoid and do not even send them your card details as their 30 day free trial is a scam

I am completely new to VPNs and being older and less and less tech-savvy, I needed a little help. I received notes and letters from several people. I am finally comfortable with having this on my computer.

I have nothing but good things to say about the help I received today from the reps at Zander UltraVPN. It took two chats, one with Percival M. and one with Carl J. I also had need to contact a phone rep. (Conrad) near the end of my problem solving adventure. Being a novice in navigating computer issues, I needed a lot of help. All of the reps. I encountered were friendly, patient, and more than willing to make sure everything was in order. My sincerest appreciation goes out to all of you. You need to talk to the 'powers that be' about getting a raise! ;)
I wasn’t exactly sure how it happened
I wasn’t exactly sure how it happened, but I found my laptop to not have my Ultra VPN working on it. In a panic, I summoned the Ultra folks and started a service ticket. After several emails, I wasn’t getting anywhere, and I was ready pull the plug. The Ultra folks were stumped I’m sure, because Nothing was adding up on my claim of who I was. What was a frustration to me (how come they can’t figure this out) turned out to be a let’s-start-at-the-beginning kind of thing, only to find out, that when I signed up, I used my wife’s email address. DUH!! After they found us, they shot me info to get me back on track, and I was able to rejoin the coverage, rescan my device, and once again, be a Happy Customer.
Thank Ultra VPN for hanging in there with a frustrating customer. My hats off to ya’ll !

UltraVPS staff responded to my issue email quickly and gave an answer to what I needed to do in an easy to understand and implement way. I've now contacted UltraVPN twice for help both times answers came quickly.

Of all the VPN's I've used, and I've used a handful at least, UltraVPN is the best one. I pay less with them than I did with other VPN's and it's better and faster. They are the gold standard in VPNs
Great customer service!
I'm not the most tech savvy person so when I had an issue trying to download the program, I used the chat service for help. I worked with Carl and he was so helpful. He walked me thru it step by step till we got it to work. It was probably more an issue with my old laptop than an issue with the program. He was very patient while I tried to figure out what I was supposed to be doing. Thank you Carl for all your help.
