I wouldn't!!
Not my ideal mode of employment. Was the third week before I was able to submit a timesheet. Not the easiest thing to do to contact them either. A simple, "I cant access my timesheets" is left with a wall of silence. I'd think twice before having to use an umbrella company again. If you can't speak to someone promptly, and with prompt solutions to the most basic of problems, then you know that they are getting far more from you, than you them.

Poor experience
These guys are one of the most expensive umbrella companies and a nightmare to get hold of. They don't respond to emails or the online chat, calling them is not much easier. They pay you on separate payments at random.

Fantastic Service!
Mollie Burgess helped me with the setup which took only 5 minutes. At Umbrella.co.uk they take all the pain out of sorting my contract needs. Mollie answered all my questions at registration and I know during the course of my contracts I have access to a support team.

Emergency Tax Code
My wages was processed incorrectly on my first week, I queried the discrepancy and raised other queries. This error has led to HMRC changing my tax code as they underpaid the tax. If you require financial services this is my experience.
The company chose to cherry pick the easier queries and failed to address my pay related query.
If I am paying for a service, which has not been executed to the required standard I’d expect the company to investigate and resolve the query.
In addition, my friend recommended the company and we should both receive £40 Amazon vouchers, but that has not materialised and the offer is advertised on their website.
This is a Matrix approved Umbrella company and this is the standard of services that’s provided to paying customers.

Regarding your entitlement to the Amazon vouchers, our offer provides £40 in vouchers to both the referrer and the referee once both contractors have been paid. There is always a short delay while payroll is processed and verified, but once this has been cross-checked, we can assure you that both parties will receive their vouchers as promised.
The offer is also unlimited, meaning you can refer as many friends and colleagues as you like. Once each referral has been confirmed as having completed payroll, the vouchers will be issued accordingly.
We hope this puts you mind at rest and that we will be able to restore your faith in our service moving forward.

Ignored requests and poor communication – cost me £150
Very disappointing experience with Umbrella.co.uk.
I requested to freeze my salary sacrifice. The request was verbally agreed, but it was never actioned. I followed up and was asked to complete a form, which I submitted promptly. After that, there was no confirmation and no response, and my request was ignored again.
I raised a formal complaint, but received no resolution.
Because the instruction was not processed in time, I had an urgent payment to make and ended up paying a £150 penalty.
When I contacted support again, I only received scripted responses saying they were “unable to do this”, with no explanation or accountability. Calls were disconnected and communication was extremely poor.
Contractors should think carefully before using this provider.
