Payment was late, tried calling them but couldn't get through after waiting for more than 15mins. Managed to get through to someone on the webchat but was informed my account had been changed to weekly payment. I've always been paid monthly so was unsure how this happened. I asked and was told that it had always been weekly...impossible.

I then asked it to be changed back to monthly and was informed that these cannot simply be changed without issuing a P45. But they had somehow changed it from monthly to weekly, not informed me, not issued a P45.

I then asked a bunch of questions to clarify coz something clearly doesn't make sense here...and have been informed that my account "must be weekly" despite being paid monthly for almost a year. I mean...what?

I am sitting here with an overdrawn account, payment is 2 days overdue, and i am being told to wait until tomorrow to get paid.

I am going to discontinue my usage of umbrella.co.uk and would suggest you do the same!

Andy explained the workings of how the umbrella company works on behalf of the client.The explanation was simple, clear and precise.

I have used Umbrella.co.uk since 2023 and have been pleased with the service. Prompt and professional. Twice in thus time the places I have worked have been late in signing my timesheet. Once in Umbrella.co.uk processed these quickly. Very happy with them.

Hannah's explanation was crystal clear and it was clear she both knows her stuff and is completely motivated to build a great working relationship. In my experience there have been a few false dawns and a lot of chasing around in Umbrella land but these guys are congenial state of the art.
