Pixelated image on closer inspection. Not the resolution nor quality you would expect to receive for the price tag. Mis-sold.

Far more expensive than most other brands or iterations you can find on Amazon/Etsy where they are cheaper with a frame! Misleading, unethically advertised and exceptionally expensive for a disappointingly subpar product. Really disappointing and, by my estimation, unethical.

Placed my order 14th Dec fo guaranteed Xmas delivery. Chased by call and WhatsApp no reply. 31/12 still no delivery. Had an automated email this morning stating that it had now been sent to manufacture. No service. Still no eta for this guaranteed delivery for Xmas. I can see that this service does not just relate to me as other reviews stating exactly the same thing.

The company recommended a map for our friend, and customized it to reflect his completion of a major segment of the Appalachian Trail. The map and customization were as represented, and our friend loved it and it is now hanging in a place of honor in his home. Delivery was timely and the frame recommended was beautiful and a good match for the map. I recommend this company without qualification.

I ordered a map from Unique Maps on the 1st December thinking that it would arrive before Christmas. The map didn’t arrive but the company had a ‘gift preview’ that could be sent and show the recipient what the gift was. I had difficulty with this. I contacted the company through WhatsApp and got an immediate response. They organised for the preview to arrive in time for Christmas. While I was disappointed that the gift didn’t arrive on time I was very impressed with the customer service. I would have no hesitation in highly recommending this company.

Map ordered as a Christmas present well within specified timeframe advertised on website to arrive by Christmas (ordered on 16th with last Christmas order stated as 18th). First delivery didn’t happen with my Evri tracking saying there was a problem with delivery and returning it (however there was no attempt at delivery!). I contacted company who said they’d send another. Company say they’ve sent a second but my Evri tracking says Evri are still waiting to receive it. Contacted company again who are now agreeing to send out a third but this is so embarrassing as it was a special Christmas present which we then couldn’t give and we had a specific framing service arranged. I don’t know if this is all an Evri problem but I still have not received the map I ordered on 16th Dec.

The team here made sure that I had everything that I ordered I got and made sure I was a happy customer. Reaching out when I had I had an issue I received a promptly response and a fast solution. Which made me so happy. I will be sure to order from here again with all the

Ordered a map for a 70th birthday present well within specified delivery timescales. Communication from company was very poor. They took the order knowing it couldn't be fulfilled but didn't let me know it wouldn't be ready until the very last minute. It will arrive 2 weeks late. I have no issues with the company being extra busy at Xmas time but customers need to know if the order cannot be completed so they have the choice to cancel and be given an immediate refund.

The prints I received looked wonderful! Although I had a problem with the delivery, Sebastian could find a solution quickly. In comparison to other shops, the price is rather on the expensive side, but I felt it was worth it. I’m very pleased with the result and will order from them again!

I recently bought a, 'Scotland Topographic 3D Relief Map' from The Unique Maps Co. A 3D Relief map is a completely misleading title for the 2D print I received. The definition of a 3D Relief map is as follows (from 3 different sources):

- Relief is defined as a three‑dimensional design element raised or depressed from a flat plane.
- Relief sculpture combines features of two‑dimensional and three‑dimensional art, with figures projecting from a background.
- It is essentially a wall‑mounted sculpture where raised elements emerge from a flat base.

AND, all of the photos and descriptions of the map make it look like you are getting a relief map - you are not.
At the end of the product description they do state, 'Please note: While this map looks very 3D, it is a 2D map, printed in two dimensions on paper or canvas.'

So, they are not lying about what they are selling but it is HIGHLY misleading. It is my fault for not reading to the end of the description before ordering. But I have essentially paid £150 for a standardly printed poster. The most expensive poster you will ever buy! Don't make my mistake! And, Unique Maps Co. - shame on you. Burying the fact that it is a 2d print after describing, ' The unique three-dimensional relief brings to life Scotland’s dramatic contrasts, from the soaring Highland peaks to the rolling Lowlands, inviting you to trace your finger along the nation’s natural borders and deep, ancient glens.' A three-dimensional relief is...or should be...just that, a 3D relief! Really very, very poor.

NOTE: Having also shared the above review directly with the company, they were very proactive in attempting to rectify the situation. They offered to take back the map and refund the money, or for me to choose another product of equal value for free, or to receive a partial refund based on the misunderstanding of what it was I was buying. They have also agreed to review their description of the map to clarify that it is a 2-dimensional, 3D effect and not a relief map. I was impressed by their efforts to make this right and have updated my review from 1 to 3 stars.

The original order had some slight damage, but a new order was sent out immediately with express shipping and arrived the next day to make it in time for christmas

Everything about the experience with The Unique Maps company has been lovely. The product itself is absolutely gorgeous; the purchasing process was simple, communication was great and shipping/packaging was flawless.

Map was ordered on December 16th for a birthday present but still said it would arrive before Christmas. Money taken out of the account straight away. No email confirmation sent which was concerning especially as order was done by an 80 year old. I have chased this order on her behalf and rang up several times only to get the answer machine, I resorted to both email and WhatsApp and no communication what so ever. Now Christmas is here and still waiting. The order was for £110 and absolutely no customer service available regarding the order. I appreciate Christmas is busy but not to respond to messages or bother to send an email confirmation is not acceptable. Needless to say we will be seeking a full refund for goods not delivered. The purchaser is very disappointed and upset that she does not have a present to give to her son for his birthday which was before Christmas and she was hoping that at least he could have it for Christmas instead. Now she is left with no gift.

Amazing customer service. Evri informed me that my order had been lost, and a replacement was sent out immediately, arriving within two days. The original Evri order did eventually turn up, but the cardboard packaging was damaged and completely soaked through, meaning I needed the replacement anyway. I highly recommend purchasing from Unique Maps Co.

​I contacted The Unique Maps Co to create a very specific 80th birthday gift for my father-in-law: a pre-Partition map of India charting the journey of his family history.

From the start, the level of communication was outstanding.

​Because of the complex detail of the order - marking four specific locations of deep personal significance (Rawalpindi, Shimla, Purkazi, and Varanasi) and adding a poignant literary dedication - as well as juggling demands on my time (Operational deployment, a family trip, and some family illness) being able to coordinate closely via WhatsApp was a significant advantage. It made the whole thing much smoother and more convenient than relying solely on an e-commerce website, and I received prompt, helpful, and expert responses every time I reached out.

​When we encountered technical hurdles with the website payment system, the team was incredibly proactive, moving seamlessly to a manual invoice and bank transfer to ensure the order could proceed without delay.

The attention to detail was equally impressive; when I noticed on the initial proofs that a location name was difficult to read on the original 1857 map, they updated the digital draft to ensure it was perfectly legible. They even accommodated a last-minute change to the delivery address so the gift would be waiting for my father-in-law when he returned from his trip.

​The final result is beautiful, and my father-in-law absolutely loves it.
