Event was alright, but a great loss on visitors as it was half-term too. A business to cover the expensive rental space of the town hall?

This art fair was absolutely amazing. The venue is gorgeous, the set up was excellent and the organisation was really well done. The work on display was so varied and beautiful - it was a real joy to be amongst it. It was full of people all day long and the atmosphere was buzzing. People seemed to really appreciate being able to discuss the work with the artists themselves. All in all a very successful and well run fair. I’ll definitely be back.

Sounds like visitors have a great time here!
As an exhibitor; not so much. I wish I had read the reviews from September exhibitors before purchasing a stall. They don't appear to have taken the comments on board or made any positive changes.
They don't appear to get many returning artists.
I would not return. I would not recommend. Zero value for money.
Some more info...
Preview night - email states no under 18s. This was reiterated by staff when setting up. Under 18s were all over the place on preview night. So telling anyone with kids not to bring them makes you look like a fool.
Marketing seems heavily reliant on the artists. Untitled Artists' Fair's social media is wildly dull and not engaging. They do not share any posts from artists to their own page, stories, or even hit the 'repost' button. They have stated they spend money on marketing. I am sceptical to that mainly being marketing toward attracting artists to buy stalls. A lot of the artists I talked to weren't from London, yet they would email stating we needed to do more to get attendance up.
They will try and sell you packages after you have paid for your stall. Storage is extra - circa £130. A plug socket is extra - around the same. Rental of hanging equipment such as ladders, drill and screws - you could buy those things and keep them for less. The really cheeky one is the prosecco - over £80 for 2 bottles of £7 prosecco that they give away at the bar for free to everyone. They said that the bar was only one drink per person - this is as true as there being no under 18s on preview night.
I didn't talk to a single person from the Chelsea area. I am not saying that they weren't there. But I talked to a lot of people about where they were located as my work is based on location. Not one from the postcode, or neighbouring postcode to the one we were located in.
There were many many people there that had no interest in buying art. Not there and then. Not in the future. No matter the style. Just happy to have a free activity to do while wandering the streets of Chelsea.
There were staff outside trying to usher people in off the streets.
The real kicker for me was, after a bad experience over the weekend, the atmosphere of the final 4ish hours. I was at the back and people had to walk past a lot of miserable looking folk before they got to me. Event organisers had told artists that they could start packing up whenever, so potential customers were having to walk past people packing up and empty stalls. Staff even tried to give a stall holder their belongings from storage 2 hours before we were due to close. When they refused, as it would just sit in the way on their stall, they brought it all 20 mins before closing instead. A completely unprofessional atmosphere to have an event packing down hours before it is over. Off-putting to potential customers. A real disappointing end to a disappointing weekend.

This was the fourth year I had been to this event and it has remained consistently well-organised. There is a wide selection of art works and the artists are very engaging. The organiser is also very friendly as usual!
내년에도 뵙겠습니다!

This was my 9th Untitled fair over the last 19 years and once again, it was excellent. I’d highly recommend participating at this amazing venue in Chelsea or visiting if you are an established or new collector. The event was extremely busy with hundreds of visitors attending the private view (with plentiful free bubbly) and thousands over the weekend. I always have the best time and already looking forward to September 2027

I really enjoyed the event. There was a great mix of artwork and a friendly atmosphere that made it easy to spend time looking around and chatting. It felt well organised, and you could tell a lot of care had gone into putting it together. Looking forward to the next one!

I’ve read through the Comments from last year and there seems to be a very similar feeling amongst a disgruntled section of the reviews to those of myself and fellow artists this year. I’ve noted that the responses the organisers made in 2025 are quite combatative and they seem to have cut and pasted stock answers re :attendance statistics and numbers of paintings sold
In 2026 I witnessed the sale of very few paintings including my own. I was lucky that I managed to sell something, but there was nowhere near enough sales to cover anyone’s costs there ! This was a risk I took and I’ve paid for it !!
also at very short notice the venue date was changed from May and switched to July. I never really got to the bottom of why that was and many of us lost Accomodation costs through the short notice switch .. whilst the fayre is advertised as commission free when you arrive there is an option for them to do some sales for you and the commission level is 6%(could even be higher) Whilst that’s not compulsory if you choose to go there make sure you have your own arrangements for sales which is much cheaper. The location sounds good but reading the reviews again from last year there seems to be a reliance on people coming through the door as passers by / tourists … this felt very low this year as well. I saw no one counting or auditing numbers - so if there us a response about this entry level please be sceptical!
On the Private view night, I was asked to get all my friends /fanily to individually subscribe so they could get a precious entry ticket..
The reason that they’ll be asking you for your friends to subscribe and to enroll so is that they can get the personal data None of the people that came to private view were asked for any form of ID or to see their invitation letter ! . We were also concerns on arrival there was no lift. This was confirmed by the security and the organisers there … are a few people there had disabilities they were really struggling… Up two big flights of stairs to reach the main auditorium a friend of mine who contacted the organiser was told after the event there was in fact lift all along !! I have personally lost over £3,500 in costs I cannot recoup it … This includes my framing cost Travel hotels et cetera I felt lucky that I sold one Painting and some prints BUT there are many amazing artists there in 2026 who really deserved to sell more work but I would say on an organisational scale of one to 10 the organisation and publicity is not good enough for the money that you pay as exhibitor I will not be returning! The organisation score is 3/10 overall please think very carefully about the risks of no sales!! And hidden costs . The negative reviews all have merit … I just wish I’d read them before I booked.!

Chelsea Old Town Hall is a beautiful venue and a wonderful setting for an art fair. I had a successful weekend, met many lovely visitors and collectors, and made some valuable new contacts. Like any art fair, there were busier and quieter periods, but overall it was a very positive experience for me. I believe success depends on many factors, including the type of work you exhibit and finding the right audience.
I’ve already booked my stand for next year’s fair and look forward to returning.

An entertaining and very well organised and run art fair.
I am an artist, exhibiting here for the first time. It was a great art fair, lots of great art and a wide range. The quality, knowledge and positive culture of visitors was really good. They all stopped by to look at chat about the art. That makes it great for me. I also sold pieces and picked up commissions too, meaning a commercially valuable event. Well done to Robert and his team for such a well organised and run art fair. I have already booked again for next year.

Having been a great fan of the Fair for the last 15 or so years I can say this was the best one yet. Friday's launch was wonderful with a lovely vibe and all the artists and customers were enjoying the buzz. Today (Sunday) is the last day so make sure you catch it now if you can!

I have been to the last three fairs and thoroughly enjoyed each one. The opening night is always abuzz with people. It's rare to go to art events and see artists engaging so enthusiastically with potential buyers. The art itself covered a broad spectrum so that there was truly something for everybody. Friends who joined me there, first-timers, couldn't resist and left slightly poorer but artistically enriched. Already looking forward to the next one.

Not sure how it can be about artists as they seem to want to control all aspects of what comes through the door, art is freedom of expression not a Stalinist movement.
