Great experience

I contacted this company in search of a creative approach to purchase a home for use by my business. They did nothing but collect payment information for an application I never did & gave me the name of a mortgage lender after explaining their focus was direct business lending ( they're a factoring company). I had no further contact with them. I reached out to the lender, was assigned to a professional who was able to help me put together the deal.

On the afternoon after closing on the property I got a call from the Uplyft rep I had initially spoken with, telling me I owed them nearly $50,000 for "closing costs." I contacted my lender & learned I owed no one anything other than what was disclosed & collected at my closing. The next time Uplyft called I told them to stop calling because I owed them nothing. They persisted, leaving me messages that they were willing to heavily discount their fees. They did nothing & I owed them nothing as confirmed with the mortgage broker who then called them & told them they were breaking the law.

Yet, they persisted & finally, under the name of their parent company, Eagle Phillips, stole $15,000 from my business account using the transfer information provided to them for the application fee that never happened because I did not engage with this company. They were not authorized to use this transaction information beyond the initial purpose that even they agreed was not warranted in my case.

I have filed a fraud claim with my bank & feel sure I'll get the $15,000 back, but they started calling again. I've blocked their access to my account & blocked their number on my phone.

They may be OK to deal with if you need a factoring company, but be aware they are unethical & will steal your money if you provide access to your account for any legitimate purpose. They're shysters.

To Whom It May Concern,

After three weeks of your team repeatedly requesting documents, I finally had the time to send exactly what you asked for—downloaded statements directly from my bank.

I was shocked and offended to receive an email from you claiming that these documents were “fake” and implying fraud. These statements are authentic bank documents, and your accusation is completely unfounded and unacceptable.

I expect:

A written acknowledgment that my documents were legitimate bank statements, or
A clear, detailed explanation of what specifically you believe is incorrect, along with evidence to support your claim.
Accusing a customer of fraud is serious. The way this was handled shows a lack of professionalism and respect. I hope you understand the impact of your words and take this opportunity to correct the situation.
