AVOID - worst company ever

If I could give zero stars I would. I sent a package from the UK in November, which was formula milk for our baby for our stay in December, it’s March , we’re home and the package hasn’t been delivered. Trying to get an answer from customer service is near impossible, I provided all the required and requested information on time and in full but get no answers. It’s been four months and it’s not delivered, we ended up bringing the milk with us as we didn’t trust it would arrive in time and thank goodness we did. Out of pocket considerably. Clearly no one works at this company, answers an email, sends the forms, complete con artists and I wouldn’t bother to use them if you want your goods to arrive! A shambles. I’ve repeatedly asked for my items to be declared lost so I can start then refund process and not a single peep!

If you get Charity on the line - your query will be dealt with.

Ordered through Amazon and had an issue where I missed delivery because I wasn’t home. Completely my fault and missed the drivers calls.

Called in - my call was answered in 5 seconds by Charity.

Apart from Charity helping me to find a solution to get the package delivered in a way that would be convenient and would account for me not being home - she was also just so lovely to deal with.

I called late towards end of shit 18:00 and she made sure that I was helped. I even missed her call and got a call back because she stayed a few minutes later to ensure that my query was dealt with and my package was routed successfully.

Charity was great and made my day!

First time ordering from Amazon in America shipping to South Africa, first time dealing with UPS and could not be happier! If this is the experience each time I’ll be returning again and again - will also tell everyone to use UPS to ship from US to SA.

Kudos all round. :)

Good luck trying to get hold of anyone...they just put the phone down on you

Packages that dont get delivered get delayed till the next day , this has happened twice now

Surely Packages from the day before should be first off the truck the next day

Avoid this dishonest and unreliable company

A truly terrible company that provides false and dishonest reasons for delays. They are simply unreliable and incompetent. Despite having the delivery address from the start, the reason given is that the address is in
an outlying area - first time I heard of my city being in an outlying area and not the case with any more competent courier service. Avoid!

Never in my life will I ever trust UPS


Never in my life will I ever trust UPS with my parcels. They’re very slow and shipment are always delay. I called UPS South Africa dozens of times and their call centre agents sounds like they’re doing you a favour.

My parcels was delayed and they didn’t provide any reasons for the delay. The parcels got here damaged and they can’t account for anything. This is the poorest service ever!

Shocking service !!!!!

Not sure why but the UPS service in South Africa is absolutely Disgusting. Paid fees for my package 10 days ago and still not received !! Excuse after excuse. It is the last time i ever use UPS to ship to SA .... They need to wake up and stop being so lazy !!!!!

UPS bureaucratic Courier company

UPS have non existent communication skills with customers. Rude and bureaucratic. You hold on for 10 min on average to speak to someone, because they don't call you and then they come back and ask for the same documents 3 times you submitted 4 days before that. I've explained 3 times that a certain import is a zero Dollar value replacement aviation part, yet they insist I pay import Tax for Customs!

UPS non existent customer service

UPS consistently manage to delay inbound international shipments and have disgusting and non existent communication skill with customers. You hold on for 10 min on average to speak to someone, because they don't call you and then they come back and ask for the same documents you submitted 4 days before that...incompetency personified...go to DHL..

It is not even worth the One star

It is not even worth the One star. There was no 0 stars to pick!!!!!Utterly pathetic!!!! I had to call in over 20 times. Had the phonecall cut by customer service agent on me. Utterly disappointed and disgusted with the way they conduct business. Shut down!!!! UPS South Africa is not even worth your time and effort

This company is rubbish

This company is rubbish, unprofessional and a waste of time, funny enough in Europe they do great work but South Africa branch is useless. 3 weeks later I haven’t received my package and I send email daily. Loosing clients because of them. I blame myself for not checking these reviews

UPS is the worst company you can


UPS is the worst company you can possibly use for courier services. We used them to ship an international express package from the United Kingdom to South Africa, it arrived 7 days ago on the 25th of October in South Africa, clearance fees have been paid, but our package still hasn’t been delivered to the receiver. They have been scanning the package at Kempton Park for the past 7 days now but still no action has been taken to deliver our package. It’s the 31st of October today as we speak but still nothing.

Their service is pathetic and revolting to say the least. Avoid using them at all cost.

Never again UPS!

This has got to be the worst courier


This has got to be the worst courier company ever! They do not even deserve the one rating. There is little to no communication either via telephone or email or cell unless payment is required!!! Don't try to phone either, you are either cut off regularly or you wait 30 minutes plus on the phone and still no response. Gave up. 36 days and still no parcel which is a b'day gift of 6 special balls of wool!!!! The most awful experience.

Nightmare Company

Nightmare. Sent on 19th December and with so much messing about that it still hasn't been delivered. This is a company to avoid.

I sent Christmas presents to South Africa and the package arrived in SA on 22 December but since then it has been a backwards and forwards situation. I even have UPS UK Involved and after the 3rd UK rep, thought I was making progress. Now they ask for some information about the receiver that I have supplied twice to UPS and once to Parcel2go but still no movement. Parcel2go have been proactive but UPS have been pointless and unhelpful. AVOID UPS if you want an international parcel to arrive at its destination.
