I requested my cash in the form of an Amazon card. Never received the verification email. The help center just takes you around and around. There is no human contact except the one who denied my request to delete my information because they couldn’t verify my identity. Said to follow a link that they did not send. Do not use this app. Don’t give them your personal info. Who knows what they might do with it. Reporting to the BBB.

Upside has a radio commercial explaining that it saves people over $5000 a year. Doing the simple math that is assuming people drive 30,000+ miles a year. What a joke.

Y’ALL! I love this app! You get money back when you use the app AND when your referrals use the app! No other app does this! Follow the directions to use the app. I’ve had zero issues. I always personally cash out at $20.

So far it's not very good,I got 2 of 4 offers with one I didn't get was th .90 back per gallon. I got the food from the same offer but not the gas. If I don't get them I will be changing my stars to 1 and deleting the app.

I've used the app for almost 2 years and I might have made 50 dollars. Unless u live in a big town u get maybe 1 cent per gallon, and if there are any gas stations that u can use it. I always go to shell and the station in my town isn't on there anymore. So my advice is to ask someone u really know and see if u live at had access to stations that offer more

I haven't been able to pull up my profile, balance or use it at all since Jan 1. 2025. Anyone else having these issues. 😬

What all the others are saying is true about the company not receiving a dime back. I used them once waited for the 10 day max and still received nothing...oh but wait make sure you read the fine print. Where it says to download your receipt...there is no place to do that either....STAY AWAY!!!!!

UPSIDE is unfortunately, a scam. Looking over each complaint, UPSIDE responses and customer grievances, one thing becomes evident. UPSIDE, plays fast and loose with facts. Offers made by UPSIDE, come with caveats which are never made known while the solicitation within the app is made to the user. For example. One offer stated, "Share the app with a friend and receive a one time 20⁰⁰ credit, and .01 cent off of the user's future gas ourchases". No caveat, straight forward. However, this isn't the case. First, the user who is using your code must, spend 10⁰⁰. The user must have already received their own cash back, from the offer. There is a specified time period where the bar is always moved, to assure you'll never see the 20⁰⁰. There is also a maximum cash back threshold, not just per each offer, but overall, accross all of your purchases. While it is 10⁰⁰ on any one offer, it is 25⁰⁰ accross all offers collectively. You'd never know this until you awaiting the cash back promise, which never comes. This entire app is hacked with false, deceptive and fraudulent advertising and offers. The answers from customer services are as convoluted as any response I've ever read. These are the things which class actions are made of. These actions will involve state attorneys general, the CFPB and individuals injured by the fraud. I'm not attorney, however, I have achieved both a BBA in business and a Master of Laws (Master) just short of JD as a legal analyst and made a career as a Private Investigator. I suspect that untold millions of losses, perhaps even criminal, are at stake. Again, I suspect the public will soon see a backlash and the company (UPSIDE) will be held accountable. The BBB will tell you, if an entity is a paying member of BBB, no matter how many reviews or complaints, the rating will never be downgraded, its a red herring. Consumers assume that the BBB has some kind of regulatory clout. This is not the case, it is driven by profit to justify its own existence.

Worst app ever.... First off they want you to link a card to track transactions however once you use the upside app they act like they can't track any transactions. They offer you a certain percentage on cash back which you would never get the full percentage this app totally sucks and is very misleading... I spent over $350 in gas and only received a total back of three bucks on offers at 30 cents cash back per gallon

Works great. I got over $9 back on first purchase of 10 gallons and another $9+ on second buy of 14 gal. Just got a $20 referral fee credited.

This is the worst app ever. The last few times I got gas they didn't find my transaction. This is bullshit because everything is on the effing receipt. You people should let people put a 0 because I wouldn't even give you a 1. I'm deleting the app its a waste of time

I am not sure where the bad reviews are coming from, IDK, possibly user error? However, I have been using Upside for many years now, and it has really been great. I travel for work all over North America and I have cashed in hundreds of dollars.
However, Upside has one HUGE Achilles heel and it is the map interface. The map is horrid. If you are traveling in an unfamiliar area, and make a search, you usually find yourself frustrated to the point where you may even just give up searching. The map shows you as this little tiny blue dot with no perspective as to where you are in relation to the businesses. The map is always oriented North so that you could be traveling left, right, or down, which confuses your brain because when you are in motion, you think in terms of what's ahead, not where North is. The map needs to do like other interactive maps and have a way of using two fingers to reorient ahead. Secondly, there is no way to plot your course and reveal offers on your route. Instead, when you search, it shows listings of stuff in your area, with not much perspective of where the business actually is in relation to where you are heading. It could be 10 miles behind you or 10 miles off your course. As I am traveling from point A to point B, I do not care if a gas station behind me is giving 20 cents a gallon back, I am not turning around, period. I only care about what is ahead of me.
If Upside ever gets serious about making a map interface that works, they will no doubt see an immediate burst in usage from truck drivers, traveling sales reps, etc, since we will then be able to use the app without the frustration that the current amateur map interface causes.
I will keep using it and I will keep recommending it. However, Upside should understand that, even as good as it is, they have work to do. There are a lot of times that I get so frustrated with the map that I just say 'forget it, its not worth it.' Fix the map and Upside transactions will explode because the market that should be Upside's bread and butter, that is, us road warriors who travel everywhere, will find the app much more usable.

They came through one time and I’ve used them about 11 and it keep saying processing. I’m cashing out my $6🤣🤣

This app is complete garbage. I’ve had five transactions and none of them have gone through using a debit and a credit card and purchasing nothing but gas. Don’t waste your time with this app

I have used upside about 15 times. The first time they came through with a great payout but it ended there. Out of over 11 times but I used upside, over 100 gallons of gas, they paid me $1.45 total, should have been over $10. I received the $1.45 after I had to message the company and sent receipts. Not worth the time and trouble.

I thought this work of be great sense uber referred me. I was able to cash out $8+. I referred someone with upside promising to grant a referral bonus. I never saw it. It’s been pending on my side and the person I referred for nearly two weeks. The first time using the app the discount was great, after that it was pointless. I hate I signed up for this app. Is just a pure waste of my time.

The only Upside gas station near me is either out of gas or the pump computers are not working every time I go. It’s Circle K BP on S. Kirkman Road.
