This guy is completely unhinged. The owner, Bruce Herbert Williamson, who I think hides behind the name Mike, has owned a trail of unsuccessful and notorious businesses. It's almost hilarious how unhinged he is. Maybe email for a laugh, not to buy parts.

If I could rate negative stars I would. What kind of business insults you for making an inquiry. I sincerely hope that these reviews reach more people worst business I have dealt with in years bar none.

Avoid at all cost - sells cheap knock of Chinese parts, supply's incorrect parts then is unbelievably rude in their communications, how they still exist is beyond me, wish I had checked before I ordered

I ordered parts they didnt arrive then i phoned asking what was happening the guy then started to abuse me and said he would cancel and threatened to take 35% of my money that i had already paid then he begin to abuse me more. only after me ringing the police and telling him this did he then refund all my money. then he made the items i was trying to buy unavailble so they can be sited but not bought.

Total scammers,

We’d bought a gearbox through them for a mk5 golf, I was then informed that my mechanic had a horrible time dealing with them and they ended up cutting off communication after we’d bought the gearbox.
There after we got the gearbox, was said to have had 33xxx kms, come to find out the gearbox really had 122xxx kms and no reverse or 6th gear due to a broken selector fork!!
Never ever buy any parts from the guys down at VAG Christchurch.

Looking for a VW part. After watching the part listed at 800 for 3 weeks. the day after I email Mike. The price is reviewed up to 900. But he’ll hold the price if I transfer the money same day within 45mins. If you enjoy the sensation of being spat on, this is the store for you .

Probably the worst run business in the world. Abusive online chat, abusive emails when called about being dodgy.
How this guy still has a domain…crazy.

Cancelled order for no reason, refused to supply the goods ordered and refund the amount paid, very rude and obnoxious. If this has happened to you - retained payment but no intent to supply the goods, this is illegal and you can complain to the Commerce Commission. The Commission is interested in systemic unlawful conduct that causes harm - and the more complaints shows how systemic it is, but they can't do anything about the rude behaviour unfortunately. If you've been refused the supply of goods and/or a refund - make a complaint on the Commission's website. To get your money back you can also call your bank and ask for a charge back; the bank reverses the payment.

The worst business experience I have ever encountered.
Unbelievable rudeness from "MIKE".
What could have been sorted in one simple email progressed into 21 comms and still no satisfaction.
Questionable "buyers remorse" 30% deduction clause.
Totally without any business ethics.
NEVER again - be careful of these idiots.

Rude! his chat popped up and asked said have you tried using the search bar before asking questions.
I had tried the search bar but had to luck to I asked the chat about the part.
he asked if I had searched, I said yes then he asked to view my search history......
I Said I just used the search bar.
he replied will if you had read our FAQ you would know we don't do commercial vehicles.
then he ended the chat.

1 star is still far too much. Mike needs to learn how to deal with paying customers. Wouldn’t recommend

Rude and insultant. Avoid at all cost.

I made an inquiry for parts. Started off helpful, but as soon as I expressed my intent to purchase and gave my location. They became rude and dismissive even began to inult my intelligence, stating I wasted there time because they do not ship outside of their area ( which I was in the same country different city) Ignoring the fact that they state in there own conditions that they ship anywhere within the country. But I was blamed for wasting there time due to their inaccurate statement about shipping. I attempted to follow up through email, and they doubled down on there view that I wasted there time, and the rudeness and insults I recieved from them were justified. Disgusting manner of conduct. Do not recommend there service

Message to ask if they knew what part I’d need for a headlight as my car is from the time the facelift models came and I wasn’t sure if I had one or not. Told me I was lame because I didn’t know what part I was looking for. I’ve never had to replace anything on my car before and had no clue what to look for or what I should order.

I’m sure it’s all just a front because how are you gonna have a business but drive away customers? Could have easily made 400$ off me 🤷🏻‍♀️ their loss and someone else’s gain.

I tried to find a specific part on their website, but could not, so I used the Live Chat option.

Off the bat, they are extremely rude. I had photos of the part, but my car is at the mechanics, so I obviously don't have the part with me. When I provided the necessary info (VIN and part number) and said that my mechanic had taken the photos and that I believe it's the correct number, they said ""I believe" does not cut it. Come back to us ONLY when you have the actual number."

Don’t waste your time with these con artists. I did read the atrocious reviews, but I always like to give people the benefit of the doubt and a chance to do better, unfortunately they failed at the first hurdle. I’m not sure if they are scammers as claimed in the other reviews I think it is incompetency at its finest and a lack of knowledge in the industry. Having said that, I would say the biggest red flag with this company is that they do not adhere to the consumer rights act, which is supposed to protect buyers from inadequate purchases and is a legal requirement when trading in this country. They ignore messages and do not respond to any issues the buyer has, So for me this makes this company and the substandard service and products it offers; as much use as a chocolate teapot. I would urge anyone who has had similar issues to report this company through the correct channels to stop other people loosing hard earned money. We managed to find the part we were looking for through a great seller, on eBay great reviews and customer service. If I could give zero stars to this outfit, I would.

Dealt with Mike, was so concerned for our local couriers he felt the need to cancel my order as I had asked for 'please leave at front door and not my letterbox'. Must say it was the most bizarre shopping experience I have ever had. Would not recommend the hassle and after seeing multiple reviews against the company I'm happy to have my money returned which was prompt.

Mike at VAG parts is actually mentally deranged. We deal with MANY auto parts supply companies for work and after the first query it was evident that Mike was not interested in selling us any parts, rather he was more concerned with our grammar. DO NOT deal with VAG Parts. AT ALL. EVER. The Basil Fawlty of car parts!

Ordered part and paid , was told it was to be ordered in. Then a week later I get an email " Order Cancelled" with no explanation at all. Great work team you have earned your rating.
