I honestly regret buying caps from Varsity Headwear in Oslo.

In less than one year I bought 6 caps from them – 5 for me and 1 for my girlfriend. I always took good care of them and washed them carefully, but 4 of them now have sweat stains that won’t go away.

Two months ago one cap was also stolen in Italy, so right now I can only show 3 of the caps, but 4 actually have the same problem.

Yesterday I went to the store in Oslo and they told me to try a new soap and come back if it didn’t work. I came back today and the only thing they offered me was 50% off if I buy a new hat. That is honestly crazy to me. I literally bought a new cap for 1400 NOK the day before, and when I asked if I could get 700 NOK back on that purchase they said no.

They also refused any refund or replacement for the other caps that now basically look bad because of the sweat stains.

I have driven from Drøbak to Oslo 5 times just to talk to them about this problem. That’s a lot of time and fuel just to get no real help.

What makes this even worse is that I also added a photo of my work cap that cost 300 NOK. I’ve had that one for 2 years while working as a district heating welder in Oslo, working in ditches and central plants. After two years of that kind of work, that cap still looks better than the Varsity caps after less than one year.

For caps that are this expensive, I expected much better quality and much better customer service.

Non existent customer support. It's been 6 days since I contacted them and still heard nothing. 1 month waiting for a refund.

Absolute scam. Been trying for over a month to resolve issues with the order, missing items etc. staff don’t respond, CEO doesn’t respond, avoid.

I ordered a baseball cap specifically for my vacation. The Varsity Headwear baseball cap was sent with a seven-day delay. My letter about the defect on the baseball cap was answered a week after I reminded Varsity Headwear several times about the defect on the baseball cap, which Varsity Headwear positioned as a premium quality headwear made of premium material. What's the problem? I received a crappy baseball cap and thus Varsity Headwear ruined my expectations from the purchase? Varsity Headwear spits on its customers.

The cap looks great and come in a fancy package and a nice pouch. But the quality is rubbish. After the first wash the cap had a big hole near the top button and it was all faded. Never again.

I got a nice Varsity cap in British Heart Foundation shop. Looks good quality and is nice and comfy. Not sure I would pay £110 new but felt like a steal for £7.50

Die Firma verkauft sehr hochpreisige Baseballcaps. Leider ist die Qualität unzureichend. Nach nicht so langem Gebrauch zeigen sich rote Verfärbungen auf der blauen Kappe. Der Kundenservice lehnt einen Umtausch ab. Es handele sich um einen Gebrauchsfehler.

Top quality products. Sizes are larger than other brands, so I had to exchange to a smaller one. Never received a reply from customer service to my e-mails. I suspect there's something wrong with their e-mail provider, because when I sent the first cap back I received the smaller one extremely fast - so it's not like they're not cooperative. Caps are expensive which I love, was looking for something a little more exclusive. The only cap I've bought that doesn't look like it comes from the same factory as all other generic brands. Will buy more.

I thought I wasn't a cap person. Turns out I wasn't wearing the right kind. These caps are stunning and look good on everyone I've seen. Beautiful materials that look and feel great.

During the pandemic, I purchased a hat online and carefully followed the guidance for measuring my head that was available on their website. The hat arrived and it was ridiculously large. I asked to exchange it and the answer - after months of nasty and antagonistic emails from the company FOUNDERS was a flat “no.”

They will find lots of ways to get money out of you but do not stand behind their product. There are many other products out there that are much better constructed backed by companies that offer customer service. This is not a good company. Buyer beware.

Had a great experience. Needed a cap while being in Vietnam. I placed the order at shortly after 13:00 Oslo time. The Cap has been shipped on the same day via DHL express and just needed 7 days to arrive at my hotel. It's incredible that Varsity sends them via DDP. So you don't have to deal with Taxes & Duties. The price includes everything. I've read their story. Great company and absolutely worth supporting. The support was helpful but my first Whatsapp inquiry haven't been answered. I totally get that building a good customer service as a small brand can be challenging. But I would recommend that Varsity communicates realistic expectations. The auto respond told me they will get back to me within 48h, which was not the case. I reached out to them post order again via e-mail and then they were quite responsive. So overall I've had a great experience and love the new cap.

Caps seem a little overpriced but appear to be good quality. The fit is also excellent as it should be for a cap this expensive. The clasp on the back is a unique design and looks clean when wearing backwards. The metal clasps giggle together a little which isn’t ideal but by no means a dealbreaker. Would prefer if they had more realistic, true to life pictures of the caps on their site instead of just instagram like marketing material. Colors do not exactly match the website probably due to the high light exposure of their marketing images. The colors are attractive non the less. Remains to be seen how they hold up.

Hands down the worst customer service I have ever received. For such a premium priced cap, you would at least expect 3 out 5 star service. My experience has been 0 out of 5 and still not resolved!

I was gifted two caps in the summer, made from linen. They fit well but after some months, the colour began to fade on one of them. I contacted varsity via watsapp, I was ignored for a week and then finally got a reply after I sent another message. I was told to email, which I did and again I was ignored, but for this time, two weeks.
I followed up via watsapp for a third time and then got an email a couple days later saying, the cap had been exposed to chlorine. Chlorine! Like what!?
Living in London, that is incredibly unlikely but when varsity could be bothered to reply, they say meh, nothing anyone can do and what you going to do about two weeks passing by without a response?
It seems as if they have no quality control and charge absurd prices for caps.
I would avoid, £80 for a cap to last a few months instead of years is ridiculous and made even stranger that I have a cotton cap from varsity which I bought two years ago and thats kept its colour.
Quality goes down and price goes up. Avoid, until they reverse that trend.

To the response- nice that you reply so quickly when it becomes public knowledge but to handle any customer situation, it takes over three weeks!
Proof is in the pudding.
Don't buy their products, you've been warned.

The quality is unmatched, their colors look epic, I like the variation of materials and customer service is impeccable.
