Very good customer service, I had a problem with the instalation of the e-bike kit, and they answered very quickly, found out there was a mistake on my part I ordered the wrong part. Simon was kind enough to send me the correct part free of charge!

Produit conforme, fonctionne parfaitement. Livraison très rapide et excellente communication avec l’équipe au niveau des conseils.

The product (TSD 500w) is as expected, easy to mount and smoothly riding with the torque capter .
The delivery was longer than indicated in the Varstrom site. Almost perferct. (laughing).

I bought Varstrom rear motor wheel and a battery for the rack to use it for delivering food and I have it for few months already and I think now I can give my honest opinion about it. Overall the product is good, but the quality - not so much. In the beginning, when I received the product, the wheel was with loose spokes, so I had to tight them myself. The spokes were terrible - they were breaking very easily. On all my bikes I've never broken a spoke before, and with this wheel I broke 6 for the first month. I had to order separately from different company thicker and more durable spokes, so they can last longer. I presume that in the near future I'm gonna have to change the rim too, because it seems that it's bending very easily and I'm not even riding the bike in the mountain. The battery doesn't last much if you want to go full speed all the time, but if you ride at 30-33 km/h, you can manage to ride 5-6 hours, also depending on the weather. Few weeks ago the wheel stopped working. After describing what the issue was, the guys from Varstrom were so kind to send me new controller and the problem was solved, so kudos for that. Although when I was breaking the spokes, they didn't answer my message. Maybe the warranty doesn't cover that, I don't know. Anyway the quality of their spokes is s**t, so they wouldn't help me much, but they could've still answered. It would've been nice thing to do. So generally the quality of the wheel is awful, not to mention that I had issues fitting the wheel to my very standard Specialized frame. My advise for them would be to put thicker spokes and to make more durable rim, because the wheel is heavy and in my case the battery for the rack adds extra weight for the rear wheel. The battery and the rest of the accessories are okay. The issue with the controller I believe was that some moisture got inside and maybe to some degree was my fault too. There is room for improvement here too - maybe to make different design and to be more water resistant. To summarize, I could've got better value for the money I've paid. I see Bafang (also sold from Varstrom) are little more expensive and I wonder if the quality of their products is better. I'm still using the wheel though and it does the job, although I have issues from time to time.

Ein sehr robustes und gutes Fahrrad. Mit einer Batterieladung kann ich in normalem Gelände über 150 km weit fahren.

The product is as expected. But there is a problem with customer service (as some other people have noted). Having said this, I do not mean that the customer service is "bad". More likely, this guy is overwhelmed by a lot of people like myself who must go to him instead of looking at a *detailed* user manual, which is nowhere to be found. I took to Chat GPT. Sometimes helps but sometimes not.

My display was giving 100% battery, even when it was almost empty. I contacted them and within 24 hours I had a reaction.
They looked with me what they problem could be and have send me a more expensive display without any extra costs.

Don't understand the good reviews. Broke after only one year. Now I think they sell fake stuff.

Company actually gives very bad service. Bought two bike engines. One broke after only one year so started an issue. Had to do everything they asked to check for the problem. Video's, foto's etc. When nothing worked and proved the engine was broken, they did not respond anymore leaving me with shit.

I ordered a Bafang BBS01 kit from Varstrom, which arrived timely and was offered at a great price. The product works just as intended and when I needed help with setting up the display, Varstrom support replied with a solution within one business day. Great experience, would buy again!

Achat effectué via AliExpress d'un moteur Tongsheng TDZ2B.
Celui-ci s'est rapidement mis à avoir un comportement suspect au niveau de l'engrenage bleu, faisant au départ un bruit de clic jusqu'à finalement déraillé régulèrement, après 700km.
J'ai alerté de suite le SAV via AliExpress, me disant que c'était normal ... J'ai continué à pédaler jusqu'à que ça empire, et ai donc demandé une réparation ou un remplacement.
Silence radio, les messages n'étaient même plus lus. Le vendeur avait retiré toutes ses annonces de vente, et avait créé un nouveau compte, après de mauvaises évaluations.
J'ai donc contacté directement Varstrom, qui m'a clairement dit qu'il ne traitait pas avec les clients AliExpress !!!
Après beaucoup de messages laissés sans réponse, j'ai sollicité AliExpress qui a forcé le renvoi de la marchandise et m'a remboursé intégralement.
Une honte, ne jamais acheter sur leur boutique AliExpress où apparaît Varstrom dans l'intitulé !

I have a great experience with Varstrom. I recently bought a motor and battery. I first went on Alibaba to try and get the cheapest as possible, I looked at many different sellers. It turns out that Varstrom apply roughly the same price. But with a massive lot of benefits. You don't have to wait for ages for the shipping as they have stocks in Europe (and America I think?), so I got it delivered in 3 days! A 10 days free return if you change your mind, a 1 + 2 years Warranty, and an excellent great customer support. I changed my mind about some parts, they changed them for free, then they gave me a great technical support when I had any questions. So, about 10 or 20 euros extra for all this customer sevice and Warranty, compared to buying it directly from an unknown seller in China, it's a no-brainer. It's really nice , knowing you won't be let down if any component fails one day, for 3 years...

J'ai acheté un moteur Tongsheng TSDZ8 (Order #VS2918) en avril 2025 directement sur le site de Varstrom.
J'ai tout de suite eu 2 erreurs affichées sur le compteur de vitesse (erreurs 18 et 30). Le service technique m'a demandé de débranché / rebranché les câbles. Malgré plusieurs essais, les erreurs sont toujours là.
Ils m'ont répondu qu'il fallait faire avec les erreurs !! C'est INACCEPTABLE !! Le compteur de vitesse affiche des vitesses erronées et ne me permet pas d'utiliser le moteur...
Malgré mes relances, je suis sans nouvelle de la part du service après vente depuis plus d'un mois. Il m'est impossible d'utiliser le moteur que j'ai acheté.
Je DECONSEILLE vivement d'acheter sur Varstrom car le service après vente est INEXISTANT.
Aucune garantie ou produit de remplacement ne m'a été proposé par le service après vente !!

I purchased a Tongsheng TSDZ8 motor (Order #VS2918) in April 2025 directly from the Varstrom website.
I immediately received two errors on the display (errors 18 and 30). Technical support asked me to disconnect and reconnect the cables. Despite several attempts, the errors are still there.
They told me that I had to deal with the errors!! This is UNACCEPTABLE!! The displays incorrect speeds and won't let me use the motor...
Despite my reminders, I haven't heard from customer service for over a month. I can't use the motor I purchased.
I strongly advise against purchasing from Varstrom because customer service is NON-EXISTENT.
Customer service has not offered me any warranty or replacement product!!

dna 26.6.2025 som si cez Alliexpres objednal elektricky horsky bicykel VARSTROM so stredovym motorom Bafang 750W. Prisiel mi v poriadku a som spokojny, ale ked som si chcel objednat este jednu bateriu do rezervy 48V 20Ah 960WH Model: FP4820R0BC, ktora sa montuje do spodneho ramu a je takeho obdlznikoveho tvaru, tak mi posielaju link len na baterie co sa montuju na ram bicykla. Je to katastrofa, ked si kupite novy bicykel a nemate moznost si objednaj taky isty Model: FP4820R0BC baterie. Co nevidia kde sa monuje ta bateria a ako vypada !!!!!! Poslal som im aj foto!!! Absulutne mi pokazili veskeru chut. Snazil som sa ju najst na internete, ale nikde nie je .... co ju vyrabaju Martania ??? Prestanu komunikovat a .... Katastrofa, fuj hanba !!!!!!!!!!

The kit arrived, I am still waiting for the spacers.
