So ok let me start by saying this is partly my fault. I should have seen this coming...
I opened a company account for my company with Verifio about a year ago. The main reason for the account was so I could cash out my crypto and use the account for investing in stocks with one of the largest brokers in the world.
This was told to verifio during the onboarding process.
After 48 emails back and forth, and not having a clear onboarding process, always one more document having to explain every transaction line by line, even for a 30 euro transaction, etc, I finally got onboarded
Then, after a few months, (no transactions) ohh give me this document that the company is valid, no older than 6 months, so I had to pay 400 to get it.
Then I did 3 transactions from my personal account to my company, and then to my broker (all proof was provided, salary slips, loan agreement, etc.)
This went fine
Then, a month later, I get dear client, this type of activity is beyond our risk appetite, and any further transfers to your broker will not be permitted.
So imagine this is like the simplest and safest form of transfers, as there are no third parties involved with a clean source of funds, and it is beyond their risk appetite. Imagine what will happen if I transfer funds from selling crypto and a crypto exchange, which is a lot more risky by default.
And Verifio is supposed to be crypto-friendly, which is so far from the truth it's not even funny
So up to this point, I had paid 12 months by 50 euros for account maintenance, which is 600 + 400 for the document they asked for.
So all in all a 1000 euros for 3 transactions when you add up all the fees. (not counting the transfer fees.)
But no, from there the nightmare got even worse. I realized with whom I was dealing and that something was seriously wrong. If they had issues with something so simple, they would be unable to handle anything else (Such as Crypto), so I transferred 950 euros from Verifio to another company account and asked them to close the account.
They closed the account, but the money never arrived when I asked them to provide a MT103 document, which is basically proof of transfer. They were unwilling to do so.
Then they said ohh this got rejected by my bank (which is not true, as they could not provide proof that they sent the transfer to begin with), and for me to provide a company account for them to transfer the funds.
I provided a company account, then they asked for proof that the company owned the account, which I provided.
Then they said ohh we found an inconsistency with the proof (even tho the proof is downloaded from the official bank website and the account is in the company's name), without saying what the inconsistency is, so they just made it up.
So then I said ok lets have a call I will show me logging into the bank and downloading the proof.
They said, " Fine, this works, and guess what happened? They did not show up for the call.
Next steps will be for me to file a complaint with the regulator in Lithuania to try to recover my money and engage a lawyer on this
So basically, they stole the money, and now they are looking for any excuse not to give it back.
So at the end of the day, they are just scammers that dont want to transfer the legitimate owners funds.
Just for reference, so they dont say I'm making this up, ticket number 7568.
You have been warned, stay away for your funds and your sanity.
I have been using Verifo for payments across Europe and everything has been working without issues. The onboarding process felt standard and easy to follow. Both SEPA and SWIFT transfers are processed within expected timeframes. I do not often leave reviews but this is an honest reflection of my experience so far. I will share an update if anything changes.

in our experience it is hard to match this provider when it comes to SEPA, instant SEPA and SWIFT transactions. The option to issue cards adds extra flexibility. its great fit for businesses operating in crypto, gaming and similar high risk sectors. I actively use ir in my own operations and recommend it to people i know through their referral system too.

It was a complete waste of time to ask for apostilled documents for three or four different things, especially since the account owner is also the UBO and has verifiable documents.
The documents I provided during the signup process were only for verification, and then they came back asking for 20-point clarifications.
Even major banks donât ask for such documents.
The onboarding experience was terrible and not worth it.

Operating with their compliance team felt like requesting a loan from a highly paranoid, pathologically perfectionist bank rather than applying for an online bank that can handle our business payments. Wouldn't recommend unless you don't have anything else to do but answer their questions.

Our experience with Verifo was nothing short of exhausting and deeply disappointing.
We spent over two months trying to complete onboarding, during which we provided everything they asked forâ*and more*. This included notarized company documents, proof of payment for our license, and even increasingly unreasonable requests. At one point, they asked us to prove that an emailâsent from the notarized company containing official documentsâwas âreal.â That level of scrutiny crossed from due diligence into pure absurdity.
The process became a cycle: every couple of days, a new request, a new document, a new hurdle. No clarity, no consistency, and no sense that anyone was actually reviewing the materials holistically. Just an endless loop of bureaucracy.
After two and a half months of this, they ultimately rejected our onboardingâwithout providing any meaningful explanation.
This wasnât just inefficient; it was a complete waste of time and resources. If Verifo cannot define clear requirements upfront or justify their decisions, they have no business putting companies through such a drawn-out and opaque process.
We strongly caution others to think twice before engagingâunless youâre prepared for a frustrating, time-consuming experience with no guaranteed outcome.

Their onboarding process is just ridiculous. I applied for a business account for a newly formed UK Ltd - which already has an account elsewhere- as they seem to offer a feature which could have been of interest for me. Perhaps, I will never know.
I can unerstand their long list of questions, and until a certain point buy the regulatory requirement blabla.
But what is ridiculous is when they stick to a totally out of scope question without even trying to understand what they are doing, like some king of robotic AI there to check boxes on a list instead on focusing on purpose.
So I got a question about source of funds used to form the company - and if savings proof of the income which allowed these savings. As the amount actually needed was a few hundred pounds, I explained this, and supposed nobody was going to actually ask for document to prove that during my 35 years in business I was able to save 1 pound per month.
But common sense is not for Verifo. After 2 weeks they asked again for a proof. OK, a few months ago, I recieved an inheritance in a 6 figures range. I send them all the documents. Normally, so far, they should have understood I hadn t to rob purses in the street to collect a few bank notes to form the company.
But no. After 2 other weeks, they formally request 6 months of all my private accounts with an explanation line by line for all transactions.
Here I said stop. Enough. These people have no clue of what regulations are for and meant to, if it starts this wayto onboard I can t even imagine how they do business.
