I had the opportunity to look through several of the Viking Range of binoculars at the Montrose Wetland Basin visitor centre. I was ASTOUNDED at how much clearer the image was when compared with my old Bushnell binoculars, and also the range of distance that could be viewed clearly, especially the short range clarity. Unfortunately, the price ranges were beyond my pocket. I looked at the Viking website the next day and saw a "well-worn" pair of Viking ED-S binoculars on sale (possibly a "trade-in?")...for £50! They were missing the covers for the objective lenses and the mounting point, but that didn't bother me. They duly arrived and were perfect for my needs; I've subsequently managed to source a pair of objective lens covers for £7.

Binoculars ordered in the afternoon and arrived well packaged the next day, using an informative courier service. Top class service and a competitive price.

I was looking for a monopod stand for my daughters binoculars. This was to be a surprise present but we live far apart and I couldn't remember the model of her binoculars or even the make. A chance call with Viking got things moving and a second call confirmed model number of the binoculars, availability of necessary components and confirmed suitability. Delivery was very prompt, packaging secure and the whole process extremely easy.

Excellent company to deal with - items arrive quickly and well packaged. They deal with returns easily and efficiently.

After 14 years of salt air, sand blow, rain and shine on the Lincolnshire coast, plus severe damage to the sun/rain shade and objective lens holder and the inability to focus to infinity I decided it was time to send my Kowa TSN 883 scope and eyepiece to Viking Optical for some TLC. After three weeks I now have it back and it is literally 'as new'. Literally! Stevie has completed the repairs and service to a very high standard and Edward's communication has been first class. All this was done for a very reasonable price.
I cannot rate the experience highly enough.

This is, I think, the third time my wife and I have used the Viking repair service for our binoculars and telescope. On each occasion the service has been superb from the initial telephone conversations explaining the problems to Edward to the quality and speed of the repairs. A genuinely first-class operation.

My binoculars were repaired under warranty no hassle at all. I was able to take them to RSPB shop who sent them to Viking for me and I was able to elect that they be returned there for my collection once repaired.
Viking contacted me with an update once the binoculars had been examined. I was able to collect the repaired binoculars when it was convenient. Excellent service.

I ordered and paid for the binoculars and they arrived as described and on time. Their sales department did not respond to an email query.

I needed just a replacement cap for my Kowa scope. The effort the staff put in to make sure I got the right one was exceptional. It’s a part that only costs £6 but they treated me as if I was buying the most expensive equipment in the shop. Part arrived in 2 days and is perfect.

The first pair of these binoculars I received had a faulty eyepiece. I telephoned Viking Optical and they arranged for them to be replaced immediately. The turnaround was remarkably quick and efficient and was done so without quibble. The binoculars themselves are really very good indeed and worth the money which, by the way, was less expensive than any other retailer.
Dealing with Viking Optical was straightforward. They were polite,friendly,efficient and good value.
