In April of this year, I underwent T-PRK eye surgery by Dr. Maurino. The surgery proceeded seamlessly, devoid of any discomfort. My vision has dramatically improved, and I haven't experienced any dryness in my eyes. I am incredibly pleased with the outcome, as it has undeniably brought about a significant change in my life. I extend my gratitude to Dr Maurino for his expertise and care.

It's now 2023 and I had the LASIK eye surgery with Mr Maurino in 2016. The care I received and the results I obtained have been incredible. I'm extremely happy I made the decision to have the surgery and that I decided to have it done at Moorfields and with Mr Maurino. Surgery of course is a highly individual decision. But without hesitation I would recommend you see Mr Maurino for an initial assessment.

I had a LASIK corrective eye surgery in January 2023. I am very happy with the results. I can now see well without glasses and it's liberating to have my vision back without worrying about glasses or contact lenses. I wish I had done it years ago but am very glad that I didn't wait any longer.

The whole experience from start to finish was extremely professional and I felt very safe the entire time. Mr Maurino and his team are very good at making sure you understand your options and what the procedure and recovery will look like. They are on hand if you have any questions and they make sure you are happy and confident with the next steps post surgery too. My experience of bilateral immediate sequential cataract surgery (cataracts in both eyes replaced with IOLs in the same appointment) has been exemplary. Mr Maurino explained the options for the replacement lenses and his skill as a surgeon has resulted in perfect vision for far and near sight. The outcome for my vision has exceeded any of my expectations and I am now 'glasses free' (previously I was very short sighted, -9.75 dioptres in one eye). I have no hesitation in giving Mr Maurino my highest recommendation - a brilliant surgeon achieving outstanding results.

I had an appointment with Mr V Maurino was examined and told I had a cataract in both eyes. I had surgery to have these removed and had varifocal lens replacement in both eyes. So far I had a good experience and great staff. I had wonderful vision and sent home with a prescription for different eye drops. My vision started getting worse again. I had two appointments with mr Maurino. He confirmed that surgery had given me a slight astigmatism in one eye. He said I had 20\20 vision. I had this operation so that I could read a book again. I still cannot read for any length of time. I have blurry vision. My eyes get very tired very quickly. I still cannot drive at night. Was this a waste of money?? He did confirm that I had dry, irritated eyes and to carry on with eye drops long term and use warm eye mask and may get better with time. I was not happy with this outcome and felt I was just being fobbed off when I was discharged. That was November 2022. My eyes are no better and feel very frustrated that my vision is impaired. I went back to the optician that originally referred me. I had a thorough eye examination that showed I needed glasses for both long and short sight! One eye was stronger than the other. The lenses were not aligned correctly. I feel so angry. Yes my eyes are much better than they were but I expected not to wear glasses for a long time and not to do so much maintenance to have some relief from sore eyes. Everyone has a different experience and this is mine.……

I had trans-PRK laser surgery carried out by Mr Maurino in November 2022 at the new site on New Cavendish Road and the surgery went smoothly. Mr Maurino and his staff were calm and guided me through the process every step and were there to anwser any question I had. The after-care was explained to me in detail and I felt well taken care of during the consequent follow-up appointments, with Mr Maurino just a phone call away if I had any questions. I highly recommend Mr Maurino for any vision improvement surgeries!

Mr Maurino did a fantastic job in assessing my vision and making recommendations as to how to improve it through laser surgery. The after care was also exceptional.

The swiftness with which he saw me, his professional advice and how he and his team at Moorfields arranged my operation quickly (despite having one Covid cancellation I was in two weeks later) and recent thorough follow-up appointment. I felt very well cared for. The operation wasn't so bad at all, don't hesitate to get your cataracts done with him. The hospital's private wing is of a very high standard and the staff are all very helpful and friendly. My eye is back to near perfect vision now. Very satisfied!

My experience with Vincenzo and his team has been a very positive one to date. I underwent the TransPRK procedure on 6/12/22 following careful consideration and consultation with Vincenzo. The surgery itself took only a matter of minutes and was completely pain free, with the whole team doing their utmost to put me at ease. VM explained to me the aftercare involved having laid out the medication regimen in an easy to use computerised table. Following the surgery, VM provided me with his phone number and assured me I could contact him with any concerns I had.

A month after the procedure, I revisited VM at very short notice as I was in London on other business and his practice manager, Rita, very kindly fit me into his appointment schedule. Following this examination, I was told that my visual recovery so far has been going well and should continue to improve in the coming weeks.

I am still in the early stages of my recovery but would have no hesitation in stating that I am very pleased with the level of care I have received to date from Vincenzo and his team. I have a long way to go, and more appointments to attend before I am eventually discharged from his care, and so will definitely be writing up another review in the coming months, to provide a further update as things progress.

I found the whole experience stress free and reassuring. Mr Maurino took the time to answer my questions and gave me great confidence in the procedure. As at the date of writing, the outcome has lived up to my expectations.

Excellent accessibility, skill at treatment and follow up

I had laser eye surgery with Mr Maurino 5 years ago in dec 2017, although it was a ’success’ im deeply unhappy with the results and wish everyday that I had never had the surgery. If I could have my old vision back I would be a happy woman! No chance of this and no contact lenses fitted by specialists will give me all day comfort and good vision that my old contact lenses did. The laser could not deal with my high prescription and astigmatism, and I do not believe I was a good candidate for this lasik operation that I had. Sorry Mr Maurino it was a life changing surgery in the worse way and I am left regretting it.

This was life-changing cataract surgery carried out quickly and expertly under a local anaesthetic. I don’t need glasses for the first time in 65 years.
