To anyone thinking of buying an Audi from Vindis Cambridge Audi dealership, DON’T

I recently purchased a Audi Q5 Sline 40 tdi Quattro, I paid over £500 to have a two stage machine polish and ceramic coating, when I received the car it had paint on the mirror casing, bird muck stain still left on the paint work and a stone chip in the windscreen.
I was rushed to purchase as soon as I had put a deposit down, told it had to be completed within two days as they did not want to go into the following month.
The car did not come with a spare wheel but was told they would be able to source one, then I received an email saying they could do it for a cheaper rate, a new one for £950 with wheel jack.
I started to look on eBay but there was so many different wheel jacks so I decided to look under the vehicle to see the jacking points, this is when I noticed the underside of the drivers and passengers doors were damaged (heavily scuffed with deep scratches) I was told by the sales manager that this would be repaired, sales manager did not get back to me so ended up speaking with head of sales who told me that they would absolutely not be repairing the damage to the underside of the doors as it was not visible, he did say that they would look at the start / stop issue I was having (not starting in damp and cold conditions)
As a result of them refusing to repair the damage I am returning the car for a full refund
The damage cars registration is ST69 VSP
I emailed all the photos to head of sales , he did not even apologise.
I would like to give a shout out to sales person, sales manager and head of sales for giving me the most stressful time I have ever had when buying a car. Just for reference the car was £28000 and had only covered 22500 miles
Would have given zero •s but Trustpilot wouldn’t let me

On sending a return request to dealer I have been informed that I will have to pay £975 mileage fee’s, but it was ok for them to give me a damaged vehicle, and this is the only reason why I’m returning it.

Audi uk have been informed and are investigating as they feel I have been treated disgustingly and have given me a case reference for getting all of my money back and compensation for having to take emergency holidays to sort the issue out

Just received breakdown of how much it has cost me for having a damaged car for 14 days
£1754.80
Ceramic coating £539 I no longer own the vehicle, but would have kept it if you had put the damage right
Mileage £1036 I wouldn’t be paying this if I had kept the car
£80 to put my private plate on retention as I returned the car, because they wouldn’t put the damage right
£99 admin fee lost because they wouldn’t put the damage right

I have all the photos to prove this
I ended up buying the exact car from a VW dealership and was treated with respect and dignity and everything was transparent, I paid for a two year warranty and had this car ceramic coated and the difference is obvious VW care for there cars and make sure they go out immaculate

Would never do business with any of the Vindis group ever again, you have been WARNED

Audi Peterborough - what a shambles

What a shambles Peterborough Audi is. I’ve had nothing but trouble with them, from the communication to the car to the service.
Went in to have some work done today - one being a check with my key fob as the battery runs out in months.
Firstly the lady told me that it’s normal for my key battery to have ran out in just over a month - which absolutely not.
Secondly when they went to run diagnostics on the key, they then had the cheek to tell me the batteries in it weren’t genuine. The batteries THEY put in it back in November. Then tried to tell me I was lying and it wasn’t on their system. Why on earth is Audi selling non genuine batteries.

Eventually got sorted but I would never go back to Audi Peterborough for a car again.

Vindis Customer service still not be in contact ouch and don't care

Well after promising to be in touch, after my review on the 5th February, following Audi Peterborough selling me an Audi A 8 with discrepancies in the mileage record, I have heard nothing from them. I can only conclude Vindis Customer service replies on this forum are just there to fool people into into believing Vindis are doing something about complaints they receive. The customer care from this organising is extremely poor when something goes wrong.

I'm consistently taken aback by the…

I'm consistently taken aback by the consistently poor customer service experience at Bedford Audi. Despite being a loyal customer for nearly three years, I find myself astounded each time by the lack of attention and care given to customers.

Initially, when purchasing 2 x Etrons, the sales staff provided exceptional service and went above and beyond. However, once the transaction is completed and you walk out the door, the customer experience plummets to zero.

Despite my familiarity with the Bedford branch after three years, today's encounter marked a new low. I arrived to drop off my 3-year-old E-Tron for repairs, a recurring issue throughout my ownership. Due to a work commitment, I needed to do this in the morning rather than the afternoon. Unfortunately, the receptionist's demeanor suggested that assisting customers was not her preferred task.

After explaining my situation and hoping for a courtesy car in the morning, the receptionist reluctantly checked availability. Upon returning, she addressed me courteously but conveyed that they were unable to accommodate my request. While disappointing, it was not unexpected based on past experiences.

Politely, I informed her of the need to cancel the appointment. However, rather than offering to reschedule, she simply assured me that it would be cancelled.

It's disheartening that Bedford Audi consistently fails to provide a satisfactory customer experience. It's basic customer service etiquette to offer to rebook an appointment, yet this seems to be overlooked at Bedford Audi time and time again.

I will have to chase Bedford audi again to make another appointment and that alone is traumatic

Further to my last review

Further to my last review, the saga continues.... Whilst the car was in last year for the steering issue which they failed to diagnose, they made a huge fuss about a CV boot and refused to road test the car unless this was changed. I agreed, had the part changed and have now been told that there is a fault with this again and that the clip isn't tight enough and is leaking grease! They tried to charge me for the work but i explained that this is a part they have replaced so is under warranty. They agreed, reluctantly and also agreed to give me a full valet due to all the historical issues. Upon collecting the car, the Valet had not been carried out despite being assured it had been. They agreed to come and collect the car and have it valeted properly the following day however, once again it is not valeted. I have sent them photos and they agreed it is not clean but low and behold, i am still awaiting a call back for this to be resolved. Absolutely awful company to deal with, if you want to save yourself time and hassle i suggest you purchase a car elsewhere.

Huntingdon VW

Huntingdon VW. Car booked in for a recall. service and software update. Vehicle with them all day. No service done, no software update and I have no confidence whatsoever that the recall check was undertaken. Bunch of clowns.

After some investigation it transpired that my Service Plan had 'expired' despite my Direct Debit being paid. At time of booking, delivery of vehicle and collection not once was this mentioned thereby not allowing me to renew my service contract. Non existent communication by the staff I dealt with. I now have to take further time off to get my car serviced. Needless to say it won't be at Vindis Huntingdon.

Since my last post on this Trustpilot

Since my last post on this Trustpilot, I am still astonished as to how the Peterborough Audi service department functions. I was first told it would take 2 days for them to sort out issues which they picked up during diagnosis. The car got re booked and was suppose to get picked up last Saturday. After a number of phone calls the service desk picked and mentioned the car is not ready. It was a good thing that I rang. Otherwise it would have been an abortive 120 mile trip to Peterborough Audi. I was told the car will be ready on Monday and they would need the loan car back. I received the phone call on Tuesday that most of the work was done but still need to do one more item. I received the phone call on Wednesday and needs to be picked up as they need the loan car back. I said the only time I can make the 120 mile journey is on Saturday. I was told that they are desperate for the loan car and would arrange for my car to be dropped and the loan car picked. This morning I received a phone call saying couple of their drivers are sick and hence they would revert back for me to go on Saturday to pick the car. Isometric of the issues require Tech person to sort it out. I was told she will not be at the garage/showroom on Saturday.
What a poor show again from Peterborough Audi.

What a poor representation of Audi UK…

What a poor representation of Audi UK Northampton Audi are. Trying to buy parts. First part I've been told has been obsolete since 2021, but is still currently supplied on brand new cars today. Second part a friend has bought recently for £30, but according to this dealer can't be bought separately and they want £700 as part of a full panel!!! Won't be using them for servicing or repairs if they're that incompetent on parts

Vindis Audi Northampton. Waited 3 months for an appointment for a slow puncture (I have a tyres plan so limited where is can go) arrived and waited in the reception. I was told the car would take a couple of hours. 7 hours later and they are still working on it. I expressed that I was told 3 hrs max but they couldn’t care less. This is the second time they have done this. Such poor customer service. 7 plus hrs for a tyre change that you waited 2 months for is unacceptable

****** I have since received a call from the manager and he was great. He acknowledged the poor experience I had. Discussed the opportunities to rectify the issues going forward and he was really interested to understand where the process fell down. I was very satisfied with the call and hope that my next experience is considerably better which I am confident it will be.

Bad faith sales and cowboys dealings

They are a bunch of unprofessional at Vindis Audi Cambridge. Firstly so much lies when I purchased the car and they never honoured what they promised. Secondly so many defects with the car as it wasn’t well prepared as per approved used standards.Management is so arrogant with his comments basically doesn’t care as if he’s doing me an favour or has given me a car for free rather than giving the good service and providing good standards for a car I bought and customers come last once you’ve done business with them.
 The management team is useless and doesn’t even care at all about his customers and so much bad faith that I wonder if he can sleep peacefully at night and wondering how he manage to Cope with all these..
Worst bit they took my car in for repairs they didn’t carry out prior to selling the car to me and now damaged 2 of my tyres and saying I need to replace the 2 tyres at my cost when it all happened while the car was in their possession…please avoid them.
They definitely spoiling the Audi’s reputation with their low standards and unprofessionalism and by not maintaining the standards set by Audi into approved used car sales.
BUT LUCKILY AUDI UK REACTED AFTER MY COMPLAINT TO AUDI UK AND CLEARLY SAW HOW RIGHT I AM AND HOW CROOKED VINDIS AUDI CAMBRIDGE ARE AND THEY STEPPED IN AND RESOLVED MY ISSUE AND REPLACED THE 2 TYRES DAMAGED BY CAMBRIDGE AUDI DRIVER WHICH THEY REFUSED LIABILTY AND ALSO SORTED OUT ALL OTHER ISSUE WITH MY CAR.
AM GLAD AUDI UK TEAM WERE VERY PROCESSIONAL AND CARES ABOUT AUDI REPUTATION UNLIKE THOSE COWBOYS AT VINDIS CAMBRIDGE WHO IS DOING ALL TO DAMAGE AUDI REPUTATIONS.
SO LADIES AND GENTLEMAN PLEASE AVOID VINDIS AUDI THEY ARE COWBOYS WHO ONLY HAS ONE MOTIVE SELL CAR AND MAKE MONEY BUT THEY DON’T CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS. SO ONCE AGAIN PLEASE AVOID THEM.

If I could rate a zero I would!

If I could rate a zero I would! My whole experience from start to finish has been an absolute headache ending up with me out of pocket and car less. They are quick enough to sell a faulty car but not so in a refund and the aftercare is non existent. They should be ashamed of themselves.

They never phone back

They never phone back - I've been without my car for a month and all they do is blame their other garages.
I've brought a number of cars from Cambridge AUDI but will never do so through Vindis again.

SHOCKING TREATMENT FROM VINDIS HUNTINGDON
Our whole experience with the sales team has left us disappointed and frustrated.
Finally committed to purchasing a vehicle paying a deposit, arranging finance and scheduling a collection date .. we were blindsided to be told 4 hours later that there was a pricing discrepancy! now that’s after at least 30 phone calls and videos about the vehicle over a three week period… did the sales team not discussed a price? The ordeal was made worst by the lack of communication from the salesman and management team, no reply to my emails. After us phoning them to get our deposit back we were told the car was never up for sale .. but offered us the car for a higher price, which we declined. Finally a director did get in touch apologised and even offered my husband to take me out to dinner and send him the bill .. ( got to keep the little lady happy) We felt very undervalued as returning customers. Improved transparency and consistency in pricing is crucial for customer trust..

Deeply disappointed

Deeply disappointed. Wanted a diagnostics done for a DSG gearbox issue on my recently purchased, used 5yr 50k miles Skoda Kodiaq. A quick internet search shows that this is a common issue for this particular age/model. When calling Skoda Cambridge I was advised instead to take the All-in extended warranty which would cover any work required - I purchased. However, now I've been told the work is not covered because of a "30 day no-claims period" and the bill would be an additional £1500 for a new mechatronic box.

I'm disappointed that my Skoda has developed this issue. I'm even more disappointed that I was advised to take out a warranty which turns out to be useless.

Definitely won't be buying Skoda/VW again if this is what happens to their cars after 5yrs and 50k miles.

Excellent customer service

We had a problem with one of our ID3 key fobs and took it into Sales at Vindis Huntingdon, where we were dealt with by Andy, head of Sales there. Initially he thought the issue was caused by us but when we explained the history of the problem, he investigated and found that the cause was theirs. He then got the service dept to repair the fob while we waited. We were most impressed by his attitude and service.

Great van purchase from Vindis Van Centre Northampton

I bought a VW multivan from Vindis Northampton....I'm surprised to see some of the reviews below as it was a really positive experience, had a great sales guy called Mark who couldn't have been more helpful. Everyone there was friendly and it was just a pleasant experience.

Wish I could give them Zero Stars

I would have rated Vindis Zero Stars if I could.

I have never in my life dealt with a company as awful as the Vindis Group. Ive problem after problem for the last 12 months on a car under warranty with a full maintenance plan that I'm paying for.

I've made complaints to both Huntingdon and Bedford service departments but it doesn't seem to make any difference.

Awful customer service, poor communication, and incompetence.

I will certainly never buy an Audi again.
