I visited Hendy in Exeter to view a used mini, the service I received, of Owen, from initial information through test drive and purchase was very good, he moved the car so we could take a look around it, took us out on a test drive and allowed us to get the know the car. When we returned to the dealership we were offered a cup of coffee and shown all of the paperwork for the vehicle and had all out questions answered promptly. We arranged to make the purchase and agreed a collection date. After pickup we noticed a minor issue with the vehicle, emailed Owen as he was on holiday. he arranged for someone to contact us, the vehicle was booked and are the issue resolved promptly. Great service and a great car. very happy and would recommend

Tried for over six weeks to book my car…
Tried for over six weeks to book my car in for an ongoing engine warning light issue, with the earliest appointment offered being 2 April (additionally, they hardly ever answer their phones to allow you to secure an appointement - had to try multiple times). The problem worsened and the car had to be towed to the dealership, where it is still sitting with no clear plan for what will happen on that date. No courtesy car was provided (I asked the question), leaving me to hire a vehicle elsewhere for over two weeks. No communication whatsoever, on next steps - I called today, and was advised, they are prepared to provide me with a vehicle (at a cost), should it be necessary from the 2nd April. Very poor after‑sales service - based on this experience, and ongoing issues since my purchase of the vehicle in August 2024, I would not buy a vehicle from this dealership again.

The service department on Wallisdown road is an absolute joke. My appointment is 1:30 - 2:30 and on arrival I’m told that work won’t start until 2:30 - 3. Which I stated was not good enough as I have a booking. They then manage to complete the work on time and now I’m sat here 20 plus minutes to be given the key.
Incompetence at Hendy
I am writing this to express my extreme frustration with Hendy Peugeot Poole. The level of incompetence regarding a simple service appointment is staggering. My appointment was confirmed three times by the dealership, yet upon arrival, the promised courtesy vehicle did not exist.
The lack of transparency from the service desk was unprofessional. As this is a Motability vehicle, the courtesy car is a necessity, not a luxury. Offering an unsuitable, tiny replacement—knowing the requirements of the account—showed a total lack of care.
I have lost £50 in travel costs and hours of my time, yet the dealership has not had the courtesy to call and rectify their mistake. If you are a Motability customer or value your time, I suggest looking elsewhere.

Our experience at Hendy Dacia Ferndown was excellent from start to finish. Every staff member we met was welcoming, friendly, and genuinely attentive, which made the whole process feel relaxed and comfortable.
Rob deserves a special mention — he took the time to explain every part of the process clearly and patiently, making everything feel smooth and straightforward. His approach really helped us feel confident in each step.
We also appreciated how accommodating the team were when we changed our minds. At no point did we feel pressured into making a decision; instead, we were given the space and support to choose what was right for us.
Overall, Hendy Dacia Ferndown made the entire experience easy, transparent, and enjoyable. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

Excellent first class experience

Awful company - Hendy Crawley
Awful company; Hendy MG Crawley - stay well away. Regretting buying the car and getting involved with them. Front office staff friendly but management especially in service is terrible. They avoid responding to email complaints; in fact once they think you are dealt with, just ignore you. Trying to wriggle out of warranty promises when possible…blatantly lying about their communications… they are a joke. I will never go back to them. That branch needs an overhaul of management staff.
Update in response to company reply on here: already sent and email to the below email with my reg number is Header. No response which doesn’t surprise me. Also, what are they going to offer me?? Compensation would be nice

Gave details of cars available and special offers for March by email as I was due to visit my niece in Kent for the new car purchase. Other dealers in the area just failed to follow up. After test drives she decided to go for another make but impressed with how contact was handled and rate this Company as 5 star to win customers.
