I usually look forward to receiving my Vinyard Vines orders. What happened with this latest delivery?
I love shopping your sales and own so much of your product, but does getting a good price on something disqualify it from being delivered in a respectful and caring fashion?
This specific order had five items, three shirts, one belt, and one âon the goâ sports jacket. The order was placed on December 29. I received the first two items, a couple of shirts. These were properly packaged in a VV branded box, with receipt and the great Vinyard Vines whale sticker, which my children love (they typically love seeing these packages delivered, just so they can fight over who gets the sticker).
A few days later I receive the third shirt in a small white trash bag looking package. Not the end of the world, itâs a shirt, but doesnât look great thrown at my doorstep.
The final two items arrived yesterday, almost 2 weeks after the order was placed. They were the two pieces I was really looking forward to receiving. The sporty on the go jacket/blazer $398 and the nautical looking belt $69. Much to my dismay, these were handed to me by my UPS driver, balled up like garbage: the jacket in basic tissue, sloppily rolled up like a used rag and the belt in what looks like itâs original box but torn apart, like a mischievous dog got a hold of it, both items shoved in that same cheap trash bag style delivery pouch, similar to when you order something cheap from Amazon or Temu. Definitely not the standard I expect when ordering from one of my favorite retailers.
I originally started the return of this order a day before the final two pieces arrived, as I was disappointed in the two week lag time for a complete delivery. Receiving yesterdayâs final two pieces in their condition made following through with the return inevitable, as I feel like the manner in which my purchases were presented to me, like a bag of trash, was embarrassing for your company and disrespectful to me, a loyal customer.
Itâs really a shame that over the years and through several dozen orders. that I am returning this latest purchase. I really did love the belt and jacket, really cool products, but they were just so shabbily and uncaringly presented (see attached photos)⊠and insult to injury, no sticker for the kiddos, which made them angry at me, go figure.
Half my wardrobe is filled with your garments. Iâm literally a walking billboard for VV here in Vermont.
I fear those days are coming to a close with this latest experience.
Iâll find some time next week, in between the kids hockey practice and piano lessons to make my way to the nearest Staples store to drop these items off for return delivery to you. Yes, itâs an inconvenience for me, but if it serves as a reminder to your crew that they should again take pride in their product and present their best foot forward when delivering to loyal customers, itâll all have been worth it.
Disappointed
Thought that I was going to get two shirts for the price of one, didnât happen. Tried to fix the issue, and it was resolvedânever received the second shirt. I canât believe people are so incompetent. Very disappointed with the lack of consistency in customer service.

Purchased a gift for my son two weeks before Christmas. It was on sale at 30% off. He went to exchange for a different color the day after Christmas and, it was no longer on sale, and they made him pay the difference to full price, $40, to exchange for a different color. When I approached the front desk they would not do anything about it. I contacted Customer Service through email three times with no response.
Deceived customers
Purchase two matching outfits for my grandsons and of six items they only delivered 4 no pants for the little one and no jacket for the older. They never told me that they will short ship me or that the items I purchased were out of stock. Deceived me as a customer . I will never buy from them again.

Awful quality of the s sheep s shirts. Lots of pilling after one time wearing. They sent me a second one in black. Doing the same thing, and itâs black. Gross pilling, and the material is awful.

Poor customer communication
Order was placed on Nov 29 and a few days later it was cancelled on their web site no reason given. I contacted customer service and I was told the item was out of stock. I asked don't you notify the customer when this happens and they responded no. If an order is cancelled due to an out of stock they need to at least communicate this to the customer who is waiting for delivery for a Christmas present.
First and Last Time
A $42 transaction from August 27, 2024 finally resolved on November 22, 2024. They cancelled my exchange order without notification or a refund, which had dead bugs in the packaging that I assume were from India where the shirt was made. They totally ignored like 5 emails I sent to follow up. I called them during posted business hours and got a recording saying they were closed. I called again a few days later and was told I would be given a $42 refund with a 3-5 day processing time. They never issued the refund. They totally ignored another 3 emails. I called again and was told they would re-process the refund in 3-5 days. Never received the money. I filed a claim with PayPal and they never responded forcing me to wait another 10 days until I won the case. Thank you PayPal.
Aside from the bugs, the clothes are just cheapo-ok quality, acceptable if purchased at the sale or clearance price. There are hundreds of other and better places to buy clothes. Never Again!

Poor customer service. I still donât have my order. With the high prices and $12 shipping I expect to get my package in a timely manner. There isnât even tracking!

I tried to place an order, but in the end after clicking the pay button, the site gave an error.
I tried again and got the error again. And only then I saw that the bank wrote off the money from me twice. The order was never placed. No one returned the money. Support has not responded for more than a week. This looks like a scam.

I spent $108 on a tie from VV
I spent $108 on a tie from VV. My son wore it one time and I had it dry cleaned one time and it lost it's form. I spoke to the dry cleaner and they showed me how the quality of the tie was sub-par to other ties. I contacted VV customer service and they agreed to do a one time courtesy store credit for the current sales price of the item but they said 'this item is still considered to be damaged due to wear and tear.' My husband has ties that have lasted 20 years. This tie was less than 1 year old. If you are going to charge top dollar, you have to have quality. And when the quality fails, you have to have excellent customer service. I experienced poor quality AND poor customer service. This is not the first time I have had an issue with their quality, but it will be the last because I will no longer be shopping this brand.
Unraveling material

Like the fit for womenâs cotton tee and womenâs sankaty tee. Problem with the cotton is that after about 3 washingâs on delicate I get little holes in the front. Iâm not overweight-5â5â and 124 lbs. when I called to see what was up they said I could solve the problem by buying a new one-this Iâve tried 3 times⊠holes each time.
The problem with the sankaty tee is that Ive not been able to buy it for about 2 yrs. When I called to inquire they did not know if it had been discontinued or not
