Best in class onboard, woefully lacking on land.
I hate having to do this. Iâve been lucky enough to sail with Virgin a couple of times and it has been incredible. Onboard, theyâre the best cruise line by a country mile. This one star review is because of my frustrating experience communicating with them by email. I am locked out of my account. It doesnât matter how many times I change my password, I am still locked out. I have been sending screenshots and detail back and forth for two months now. I wait days and weeks between emails only for them to lose my previous comms and the whole thing starts again.
I only want to find my sailor number so I can transfer a booking and sail with Virgin again. Why is it this difficult?!
The irony is that after every failed interaction, they send a glib customer satisfaction survey that is on a dead link that you canât complete!
If youâre going to claim to do things differently, donât translate that into worst in class customer service. I expect much, much better from Virgin and you have let me down very badly.

Our First Virgin Voyage...Fantastic Experience
What a fantastic cruise! We'd never tried an adults-only experience before, and now we're officially Virgin Voyages sailors for life.
The ship was impeccably clean, safe, and well-maintained, with an incredibly attentive and friendly staff everywhere you turned. The food stood out above anything we've had on other cruisesâfreshly prepared to order, never that partially frozen, reheated stuff you often get elsewhere. Every meal felt special.
Our cabin was super comfortable, and we absolutely loved the hammock on the balconyâit became our favorite spot to relax and watch the sea.
Honestly, I can't find much to complain about. From the excellent restaurants and dining options to the fast Wi-Fi, super-quick elevators, and chill, relaxing atmosphere throughout the ship, everything hit the mark. We also enjoyed the free vintage arcade games and the packed schedule of daily events and fitness classes.
We've already booked our next sailing and are scrambling to squeeze in another one this summer. Highly recommendâVirgin Voyages is in a league of its own!
I don't have issues with the cruiseâŠ
I don't have issues with the cruise ship itself, but the processes of using a first mate and the customer service of VV leaves a lot to be desired. The experience onboard is fine, not amazing but it is still a good time. Food quality is subjective and for me, it isn't amazing. But that's not what keeps me coming back, however, after my most recent experience, the last few cruises booked with VV will probably be our last. We changed first mate from our last cruise because the company used was very poor. For the new company, all great, booked immediately as the customer service was fantastic, even assuring me if the cost of the cruise came down, they would call VV and get it sorted, either as a refund or as onboard credit.
When it came to it, the first mate changed the goal posts, and to cut a long story short I am down a good chunk of money and VV will not, cannot do anything about it. To me, it feels like the former. I was given misleading information and changed their stance on the whole assurances, and it reflects badly not only on the company I booked with but also VV. So disappointed with the whole situation.
A real mix
Liked: hammock on balcony, live music in small venues, food at Galley and Dock.
Didnât like: food in restaurants (way oversalted to the point you couldnât taste anything else), loud piped muzak almost everywhere in public areas.
Service: inconsistent. Would be concerned if this staff could handle any emergency situation.
Ship: Ikea meets Ibis Styles.

This was my first cruise as well as my childrenâs first cruise, my husband has crud many times, however not on virgin. Our experience was fantastic. We had a great time. The food was phenomenal. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The only downside I found was there washrooms werenât clearly marked, also you have to close the lid in order to flush, which means you also have to open the lid every time you use it if there was a small handle on the top, it would be more hygienic than lifting from the toilet seat that somebody just sat on. I love the fact that it was adults only we had a very luxurious relaxing vacation.
Wanted to Love This Cruise, but Lost Trust (and My Property)
Iâm genuinely disappointed to be leaving a negative review, because Virgin Voyages get so many things right. The ship, the crew, the food, the atmosphere â all of that lived up to expectations.
However, the lasting memory of my 11ânight cruise is that Virgin Voyages lost my drone. It was handed into the security team, exactly as required by their policy, and I was given a receipt. Yet at disembarkation, it simply wasnât there. No explanation, no recovery, just âlostâ â leaving me £500 out of pocket.
Regardless of how good the rest of the cruise was, being able to trust the security team with your belongings should be a basic expectation. When you follow the rules and hand over a valuable item in good faith, you shouldnât end your holiday chasing a missing possession. Itâs a sour note on what should have been a great experience.
Below Average
Below average in food, drinks, & service. Carpets around elevators spelled like urine on day one and got progressively worse as the trip went on; carpets all over the ship are in need of deep cleaning and/or replacement. The staff appears inexperienced in bartending, serving, and familiarity of the ship. Very disappointed with the overall experience, maybe a step up from Carnival, which is not a compliment.
Very bad customer service from booking dept
We have a cruise booked with 24 people for our wedding in Italy. We have sailed with Virgin 3 times before, 2 of which in Rockstar suites.
We have had nothing but issue after issue with their customer service team. You get a different answer every time you call! Noe we have asked to add a 3rd person to an existing room and after an hour and a half in the phone we have got a yes and we asked for an email confirmation which we got. Now we just called to book it and they are saying it canât be done!
We have about 150k worth of combined bookings and we have booked the flights for this additional person and we are stuck with no room for them now.
Great when youâre on the ship but customer service is inconsistent and some of the worst Iâve ever seen!!!

Virgin Virgins
Our recent honeymoon cruise was our very first cruise with Virgin Voyages on Brilliant Lady and it truly exceeded every expectation. From start to finish, it was an incredible experience and the perfect way to celebrate such a special occasion.
The food was absolutely outstanding. Every restaurant delivered not only amazing flavors but also a memorable dining experience. Even though I got a bit seasick on day three and the weather was slightly unseasonal at the start of the trip, it didnât take away from what was ultimately an epic and unforgettable cruise.
What made the experience truly exceptional, though, was the crew. A special shout-out to Shinna and Rham at Pink Agave, Arcie at Test Kitchen, Javier at On the Rocks, and Febrian at Extra Virgin. Each of them went above and beyond to make our honeymoon feel extra special.
The two people who impressed us the most were Rishab, who we saw at The Manor but mostly at On the Rocks, and to Ton, our room attendant (cabin 14154A). Their warmth, attentiveness and genuine care made a lasting impression and truly elevated our entire experience.
If thereâs one small suggestion for improvement, it would be for Hot Off The Press to introduce buzzers for orders to make the process even smoother.
Overall, we couldnât have asked for a better cruise or honeymoon. Weâll absolutely be back!
the customer service is the worst ever
the customer service is the worst ever, they advertised that they would match status from other cruise lines (We are Diamond on Royal Caribbean and Elite on Celebrity) we did MSC in October and had no issues matching our status, On December the second I sent in to sailor services all requested to match our status, They matched mine but did not match my wife's On Dec. 4th 2025 she received an e mail you are all set! well on the cruise ship we come to find out that her status was not matched, we went to customers service on board and were told we are sorry there is nothing we can do to help you, we asked for the manager and she told us I'm sorry there is nothing I can do to help you< i asked for the contact information the customer retention department and the manager said I cant give you there information until after the cruise!! dinner reservations were not available after waiting an hour to be told I am sorry the cruise is full and we cant help you with your reservations for dinner!!
Terrible cruise line do not waist your money!!!

Virgin Cruises have the best of everything! Great food, fun entertainment, quiet spaces, good ports and a friendly staff. Any issues that we had on the ship were quickly resolved. We also earned status quickly which gave us extra perks like free laundry and specialty coffees. We will definitely sail Virgin again
Brilliant Lady does not have their actâŠ
Brilliant Lady does not have their act together! The staff is untrained & unprofessional. The food absolutely terrible. We went to all restaurants and the food there was somewhat better than The Galley but not much. We like the wrist band access and the shows were good.
Galley experiences
Great ship. One of the most important spaces on board is the galley. Because everything is provided, there's little variety. The breakfast is the same every day. And you have to wait a very long time for your food.
Avoid the Resilient Lady
I just returned from my cruise on The Resilient Lady. The food was excellent except for Gambae and their pizza. The entertainment was awful. This was my second Virgin Cruise. My first cruise on The Valiant Lady was excellent.
I would not recommend going on a cruise like The Resilient Lady. The Another Rose was a waste of money, the comedian was terrible, and the Persephone venue had no seating. Everyone was standing in an over crowded room. I left as I could not see the perfomers in the midst of the crowd. BEWARE.
Booked a VV cruise, havenât even boarded and already bad customer service
Booked a cruise with VV and then found out they had a Status Match from other cruise lines. Waited on the phone for 30 minutes to speak to a supervisor named Donna who was extremely unhelpful and basically said there was no way of changing our status because we needed to get an access key for a future booking⊠when we booked it was in between two Status match periods they had and the lady was very short and rude on the phone. Myself and my parents are Diamond Plus on RCL and thought weâd give these a try but already regretting it! All they needed to do was status match us like all the other people they did, Iâm 30 and could have been a long term customer!
First Cruise, Forever Fans â Virgin Exceeded Every Expectation
This was our virgin cruise...first cruise and first Virgin cruise...and I would absolutely sail with Virgin again. We were so nervous on what to expect for embarkation and it was seamless. There was ample staff to ask when we were not sure what the protocol was and the set up to get everyone on board in a easy and timely manner was seamless. The ship was beautiful, clean, and well laid out. The food was perfect in every situation, whether we decided to dine in the Galley or have an experience in one of the well thought out restaurants on board. The staff was extremely pleasant and made us feel like part of the family, allowing us to tell them about our days without making us feel like we were wasting their time. The room was laid out with comfort in mind and the balcony with the hammock was an excellent touch! Drinks and appies were exquisite and we loved the coffee bar. Don't even get me started on the many decks you could enjoy, from the pool area where there was a lot of fun music and entertainment with superb DJ's...to the quiet and comfortable lounge decks where you could relax and sip drinks. There was a space for workouts, all equipment was in top notch shape, and even a basketball court! When it was time to leave they made disembarkation effortless creating a calm atmosphere with lots of staff to help us, and organized which allowed us to leave in a calm and relaxed state. We weren't rushed off the ship and had until 10:00am to pack, get some delicious breakfast, and navigate our way to the port. This will be our go to cruise line in the future!!
Lost and found very poor
The cruise was nice for quality and standards.
I got very disappointed because on th edepartur eday 4th Jan 26, I forgot some clothing with a value of 600$ in a big drawer and the crew was not able to find it, eventhough it was immediately reported whe I was back in Miami. I really cannot understand and accept. This is not serious at all. The crew or the next client should have found these items for sure.
Great food
Great food, amazing staff , very customer focused. There is something for everyone. You can be as busy as you want and participate in as many events as you want or just kick back and relax and take it easy. Very friendly environment.
